This fucking guy. It's like Roach reads all our criticism about him and then just strives to become a caricature of all of it. Gotta admire his dedication to being as fucking useless as possible.

Eh, this is his one positive. He doesn't tip commitments with day-of CBs.

I'm four hours behind trying to get caught up, but thought this pancake breakfast might stir up some good OL mojo for today. You're welcome if it has already happened.IMG_1306.thumb.jpg.aa801fa2cc6346910df18687119e2d6e.jpg

WTF is the marker for?

I know several meteorologists (legit ones--not TV weather people) and they take their forecasts personally and beat themselves up when they are wrong, particularly when lives and livelihoods are at stake. Wouldn't surprise me if that job was up there on the higher tier of stress levels. If recruitniks get something wrong it doesn't matter and they just go get an ice cream drink at a coffee place, lie about what they predicted, and go stalk another teenager.

Back in the day, I took a meteorology course at UT under the legendary Ken Jehn. He was also on KTBC forever and took his forecasting very, very seriously. Also have met a few of the serious folks at The Weather Channel (before Landmark sold out to NBC, who promptly turned it into a sideshow). So you're quite right that true meteorologists are a different breed from the buxom weather girls. But I still contend that these days, they all can have long careers merely by regurgitating the NWS forecast and cheerfully engaging in mindless chitchat with the news desk.

A class of Banks, Campbell, Agbo, Hutson, Robertson would be very fucking good.  Add in 3-4 transfer OL and it will be a huge upgrade in talent.

You mean we are actually allowed to recruit high end 4 and 5 star OL? And then have a real OL coach to get some improvement out of them?

Think about how bad our OL coaching and recruiting has been the last decade… and we wonder why we were consistently inconsistent

In NYC right now, gents. Did not have CFS today but did just pound a Nathan’s hot dog and heading to McSorley’s to toast the day.

Here’s a CFS with mashed potatoes and fried squash & zucchini I made myself and British in-laws on Thursday in prep. It was fucking delicious.

McSorley’s on Santa Con is a bold strategy cotton.
