That was the most pussy shit I’ve read outside of the sugar baby thread. They had bad intel, were extremely wrong and instead of fucking owning it they just pull a 180 and go from sunshine pumping to doom and gloom. “It’s not our problem the staff can’t close”. Basically everyone they listed as 30% is a 50% and all their 50% or better are like 75% but they can’t say that in case they are wrong again. Idk guys, maybe instead don’t triple down on wrong info. Pussy shit, and if you believe anything in that article you’re a pussy too. All gas no brakes mother fuckers

With Texas seemingly struggling on the recruiting trail, it’s time to reevaluate where IT believes the staff is with the current crop of priority targets.

We are still working to learn what happened in the Kelvin Banks recruitment. We feel strongly that it turned in the last week and our predictions/intel lagged too far behind.

WR Evan Stewart, Liberty (Frisco, TX): The top WR on the board who is also the most NIL focused. Oregon was a threat even before they proved to be a real threat for Texas athletes in this cycle.

Justin: 40%

WR Brenen Thompson, Spearman (Spearman, TX): 1b for Texas at the position. UT is in a good position with Thompson and his mother, just like with Kelvin Banks a week ago. Cason Wallace, CG, Richardson High (TX)
Texas head coach Chris Beard was very impressed with the in-person evaluation of Wallace two weeks ago. Now, Texas is trying to make a more concerted run at the versatile 6-foot-3 guard that is the best defender of the talented crop of in state guards. Problem for Texas right now, the SEC programs are ahead with Tennessee having a strong connection to Wallace and family.

Anthony Black, CG, Coppell High (TX)
Black likes Texas. Issue here is fit if Arterio Morris were to pick the Longhorns. Duke offer was huge, and Gonzaga is hanging around.

Kijani Wright, Windward School (CA)
Texas is very much in the hunt here, but the question remains if the Longhorns can win out for one of the top prospects in Los Angeles when the in-state schools are enjoying success. USC is considered the primary competition, but Stanford is also a factor and is expected to receive an official visit.

IT percentage: 50%

Kel’el Ware, North Little Rock (AR)
The 6-foot-11 big man was Chris Beard’s first out-of-state offer after after being hired at Texas. Anyone in the know at IT - was the only explanation from the mods on being so wrong about Banks was simply a “my bad” explanation?  Had to be more that that. I would think subscribers would be calling them out over that kind a bs response.

Share if there was more explanations please.

IT was very adamant the pick was UT and didn't change their tune until they talked to Banks the morning of his commitment. Then gave the vague response on why they were wrong. I think we can deduce what happened here.

I know. That is what is the problem. Everyone on the planet knew Banks eliminated Texas prior and IT was clinging to fantasy. Even if bags were dropped IT was too stupid to pick up on that and should explain why they were the last ones in the world to see it. I assume they can’t.

Separately from the above and not IT related, I am curious as to the development of our bag game and why it is not more effective. We are bringing in seemingly random guys from the heart of Alabama and Georgia for visits like we have not done before and fighting known bag dropping schools for players that seem to consider only schools known for such activities so I deduce (along with hints from insiders) that we are ready to play the game.

hoping it just takes time to get an effective process in motion because we damn well need it.

The lack of self-awareness in this is wild. Subscribers love percentages so I understand the desire to offer them, but these predictions are only interesting when the board trusts your info. Not only can the board not trust their info, they can't trust IT's perception of it either. Instead of addressing these concerns, they combined their shitty info with their homer perception and are trying to assuage the board with their favorite brand of Scoop.

They've been wrong when things have been trending positively and negatively. We'll start to hear about how much their subs love the off-topic boards as they slowly morph into OBs and Gerry rides off into the sunset.

Gerry: 33%
Eric: 40%
Justin: 40%

WR Brenen Thompson, Spearman (Spearman, TX): 1b for Texas at the position. UT is in a good position with Thompson and his mother, just like with Kelvin Banks a week ago. He still has two official visits left as Alabama, Clemson, and Texas are vying for those dates. His visits to Austin and Eugene exceeded expectations, fwiw.

Gerry: 33%
Eric: 40%
Justin: 35%

WR CJ Williams, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA): Has been viewed as a Notre Dame lean for a long time.

Gerry: 33%
Eric: 20%
Justin: 20%

TE Arlis Boardingham, Birmingham (Van Nuys, CA): We’re just not sure the staff is going to push hard.

Gerry: 10%
Eric: 20%
Justin: 15%

TE Jaleel Skinner, Greer (Greer, SC): Texas and Jeff Banks really like the four-star tight end, and Skinner seems to be willing to listen. Still a long shot today.

Gerry: 15%
Eric: 10%
Justin: 18%

OL Devon Campbell, Bowie (Arlington, TX): One of the biggest needs in the class. Steve Sarkisian and Kyle Flood will have to outwork Lincoln Riley and Bill Bedenbaugh.

Gerry: 51%
Eric: 55%
Justin: 53%

OL Kam Dewberry, Atascocita (Humble, TX): If Dewberry plays the long game this could become interesting but there’s a lot of work left to be done.

Gerry: 15%
Eric: 15%
Justin: 15%

OL Neto Umeozulu, Allen (Allen, TX): Don’t be surprised if Texas makes another run at the Allen product. If he listens remains to be seen.

Gerry: 10%
Eric: 15%
Justin: 20%

DL Jaray Bledsoe, Marlin (Marlin, TX): With a good jump on the recruitment, Bo Davis might be savvy enough to pull this one off.

Gerry: 40%
Eric: 40%
Justin: 35%

DL Aaron Bryant, Southaven (Southaven, MS): An underrated player in SEC country, Texas is in good position now but can he really be pulled out of the region?

Gerry: 40%
Eric: 50%
Justin: 45%

DE Justice Finkley, Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL): Finkley just announced a top-three of Alabama, Colorado, and Texas. That sets up well for Texas, we think, if Alabama doesn’t push for him. If Alabama does push, welp.

Gerry: 33%
Eric: 40%
Justin: 40%

EDGE Derrick Brown, Texas High (Texarkana, TX): The east Texas edge-backer really likes Sark, PK, and the gang. Just have to hold off… Baylor.

Gerry: 50%
Eric: 60%
Justin: 60%

LB Harold Perkins, Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX)

Gerry: 30%
Eric: 10%
Justin: 5%

LB Sebastian Cheeks, Township (Evanston, IL): Texas, UNC, and Michigan are battling, and Mack Brown would love a head-to-head win here.

Gerry: 33%
Eric: 40%
Justin: 40%

LB Jeremy Patton, Tenaha (Tenaha, TX): As long as the Horns stay the course, this one trends Texas. Early September decision too.

Gerry: 50%
Eric: 60%
Justin: 60%

CB Denver Harris, North Shore (Galena Park, TX): UT continues to push the right buttons here with an decision timeline likely in September.

Gerry: 40%
Eric: 60%
Justin: 59%

DB Bryce Anderson, West Brook (Beaumont, TX): Anderson’s timeline is infinite. He could announce at anytime.

Gerry: 53%
Eric: 50%
Justin: 50%

DB Larry Turner-Gooden, St. Bernard (Playa Del Rey, CA) (ARIZONA STATE)

Gerry: 33%
Eric: 50%
Justin: 51%

HOOPS

Keyonte George, SG, iSchool Academy (TX)
Texas continues to be in a good position for the 6-foot-4 guard. With official visits to Texas, Baylor, Kansas and Oklahoma State in the June rearview mirror, the question now is if Kentucky receives a fifth and final official visit. A November decision is likely.

IT percentage: 75%

Arterio Morris, PG, iSchool Academy (TX)
The 6-foot-3 guard is yet to schedule official visits to Kansas, Georgia or Florida. Baylor is trying to make a run with the Bears facing uncertainty in the Cason Wallace recruitment. No firm decision timeline is set.

IT percentage: 75%

Cason Wallace, CG, Richardson High (TX)
Texas head coach Chris Beard was very impressed with the in-person evaluation of Wallace two weeks ago. Now, Texas is trying to make a more concerted run at the versatile 6-foot-3 guard that is the best defender of the talented crop of in state guards. Problem for Texas right now, the SEC programs are ahead with Tennessee having a strong connection to Wallace and family.

IT percentage: 30%

Anthony Black, CG, Coppell High (TX)
Black likes Texas. Issue here is fit if Arterio Morris were to pick the Longhorns. Black sees himself as a point guard, and while he is not a point guard, the schools that can show him that he is the primary in the class have the best shot to win out currently. Duke offer was huge, and Gonzaga is hanging around.

IT percentage: 30%

Kijani Wright, Windward School (CA)
Texas is very much in the hunt here, but the question remains if the Longhorns can win out for one of the top prospects in Los Angeles when the in-state schools are enjoying success. USC is considered the primary competition, but Stanford is also a factor and is expected to receive an official visit.

IT percentage: 50%

Kel’el Ware, North Little Rock (AR)
The 6-foot-11 big man was Chris Beard’s first out-of-state offer after after being hired at Texas. Ware was originally scheduled to make an official visit to Texas in June, but that has been rescheduled for September 4th weekend. Arkansas, Memphis, USC, Ole Miss, Oregon and Kentucky are among the programs receiving the most mention in recent weeks.

IT percentage: 35%

For my well being I am going to assume a lot of this is anger from being so wrong/behind on the Banks recruitment. Taking out their bullshit on UT s ability to close. Jesus I hope so.

Separately from the above and not IT related, I am curious as to the development of our bag game and why it is not more effective.

It doesn't matter who you have to carry the bags if they're empty. Those that would fill said bags are unchanged, so then also is our ability to play the game.

And I was under the impression that bringing in Jeff Banks and a couple of his friends we were going to play the game.

It’s fair to take the position we are not cheating. The results so far lend to that conclusion. My assumptions were based on info posted here by CTJ who I believe to be connected and the obvious hiring of coaches who own monkeys that have the reputation. To make those hires has to mean something

I'm hopeful the staff at least came out of this week with some learnings about what's going on across the landscape and what they need to do. Maybe they'll be more prepared going forward, whether it's bag related or fighting negative recruiting.

It's interesting too because we've made some surprising moves with recruits that likely require playing the game (Owens, Perkins, Stewart). Just not quite enough to close. I have no idea but it may just take time to get more boosters on board especially now that it can be in the form of NIL which is likely more palatable to some boosters.

jalen waddle seems like a perfectly fine teammate. Jameis Winston was quite popular. Do you have to take into account additional character risks? Sure. But that’s it. LSU won a National title with a team full of dirty recruits. But if you want to jerk off to the idea of moral upright brotherhood in the locker room while we continue to get our asses handed to us, well, all I can say is you’ll fit right in with our stupid fucking alumni. Just go ahead and trot out the “i only want good kids who want to go to Texas” and “I’d rather stop playing football than cheat” and be done with it.

And LSU went down the drain the following year.. I know all kids aren't clean.  But if you think you can fill up Austin with a bunch of dirty kids and not have it get out, you aren't too bright.  I guess I am a dolt, in that I have at least some degree of principles.  But again, the spotlight put on Texas, and the absolute fucking hatred of us by so very, very, very many, would doom the bag man approach here.

Another good data point that we are dabbling at the very least. I would like to know our commitment and the time it takes to get an effective process up and running

I know. That is what is the problem. Everyone on the planet knew Banks eliminated Texas prior and IT was clinging to fantasy. Even if bags were dropped IT was too stupid to pick up on that and should explain why they were the last ones in the world to see it. I assume they can’t.

IT didn't pick up on that because they trusted their source to a fault and explaining that situation would likely result in throwing a certain person under the bus. They held on to their stance until they were finally explicitly told otherwise. Again take from that what you will.

The NCAA doesn't have subpoena powers. Unless they're hard delivered evidence it's pretty hard for them to prove violations.

Yet - somehow - they investigated  violations in past decades. I know their authority is more likely to be challenged now, but all they seem to care about is collecting billion$ from the sports they are supposed to oversee. I have a family member who worked in compliance at a very prominent West Coast school, and he/she says compliance is a joke now even compared to 15 years ago (the Reggie Bush years).

No one wants a bunch of dirty kids or the bag game as our entire m.o. of the recruiting program.  That said neither should it be a hindrance with those few legitimate difference makers/pro level athletes who are asking for a bag.

Cheating is probably necessary to go on a run like Clemson and bama but if our past coaches weren’t dipshit dumbfuck asswipe meat head piles of dogshit we would have multiple playoff games and none of this shit would even be talked about today. To be clear I want to cheat our asses off and never lose another 5* but we don’t have to in order to not suck shit through a straw. That’s my two cents lol.

You think lsu went down the drain because of bad character as opposed to Orgeron being head coach, and losing Joe burrow and Joe Brady and about 15 other starters and contributors to the nfl draft? And you’re accusing others of being not very bright? That’s rich. Listen, have you ever been to the football board? I think that pond would be good for you.

I never said we had to cheat. Although we’re getting close to it.  Circle me the last national title Washington and Notre dame have won, or a playoff appearance where they weren’t pantsed. I’ll wait.

But that had nothing to do with my post. My post was 100% focused on the absurdity that kids who take a payout are bad locker rooms guys or disliked universally.

Texas remains a top school for five-star WR Kevin Coleman

Mike Roach

Spoiler

Texas remains a top school for five-star WR Kevin Coleman

Mike Roach

ARLINGTON, Texas — Kevin Coleman was in the Dallas area over the weekend to take part in a national 7-on-7 tournament. The five-star wide receiver from Saint Louis (Mo.) St. Mary's was one of the first prospects in the country to experience a visit in June when he showed up in Tallahassee for Florida State's Midnight Madness. The Seminoles left a big impression on him following that trip.

"I really only took one visit," he said. "What really stood out to me was the Midnight Madness. I thought that was a really good idea. They showed a lot of love. To build a relationship over the phone is kind of hard. To see them in person and actually meet them for the first time, they showed a lot of love to the fam. I like how they were there. They are always there every day asking how I'm doing, talking to my parents and just being cool."

Coleman's key recruiters at Florida State are Ron Dugans and Kenny Dillingham. Coleman said he speaks to one of them every day, and he likes the pieces Florida State is putting together in their class.

"Coach Dugans and coach Dillingham," he said. "They talk to me every day. The first thing you need is a QB. They've got AJ Duffy, a 2022 commit. Right now they are just getting the pieces they need. They've got a good line coach that will bring them some good linemen."

Texas has been involved for Coleman for over a year. Steve Sarkisian made sure to make him a priority from the time he arrived in Austin, and he also had a pre-existing relationship with wide receivers coach Andre Coleman.

"I love coach Sark," Coleman said. "He's a cool guy. I like how as soon as he got to Texas he immediately started to recruit me. He was my main guy. I've had a relationship with coach Coleman and a guy there in Marcus Washington. I've got a St. Louis guy down there."

Washington and Coleman know each other well. Washington has been able to tell Coleman about how the wide receivers are coached.

"He just said he's a straight-up guy," he said. "He's a real guy who will tell you the truth about yourself. He's not going to lie to you and not going to let you BS. He'll make sure he's on you every single day."

Coleman was set to make a visit to Austin during the last week of June, but a family issue came up causing him to re-schedule. Texas is on his list for an official visit this fall.

"Oh yeah, I've got to get down there for a visit," he said. "Official visit is coming soon. I was supposed to go down there end of June but something happened in my family and I had to reschedule. As soon as possible I'm getting down there."

Arizona State is another school that has been a big competitor for his services. Coleman has been able to gain a strong bond with that staff as well, and he likes their NFL experience.

"They have a good coaching staff with NFL guys," he said. "Coach Herm is a good one. Coach Prentice Gill, Chris Hawk, Antonio Pierce. They are all good guys who can show me the way."

The Sun Devils are currently under investigation for recruiting violations during the COVID-19 dead period. Coleman said that investigation doesn't change anything about how he feels with that staff.

"That don't change," he said. "That's at every single college but I don't believe it. People are going to say anything they want but that don't change the fact about them."

Texas, Arizona State, and Florida State will be joined by Alabama and Oregon as the final five schools for Coleman. He plans to make his decision following the season at the All-American Bowl on NBC. When it comes time to make the call, Coleman has three major factors he's looking at.

"Opportunity," he said. "Where can I play now? Competition. I want to get work every day during practice. Coaching. I have to have a good relationship with my coach."

At 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, Coleman is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the country and No. 1 overall prospect in Missouri, according to 247Sports Composite.

Quote

Texas is in heavy pursuit of four-star defensive lineman Justice Finkley. After a strong visit last week, the Longhorns are in the final three along with schools like Alabama and Colorado for him.

Roach is so scared of his own shadow, he can’t even state Finkley’s final three are us, Alabama and Colorado, but schools “like Alabama and Colorado.” Lulz.

Woodward and Bernstein, you’ve been bested.

Hope Sark took great notes when hanging with Saban.  He should have learned the ropes when it comes to how Saban massages the recruits.  It could be that this year, he will just have to coach his way out.
