Coaching changes impacting the final four of OL Malik Agbo
BRANDON HUFFMAN

Federal Way (Wash.) Todd Beamer offensive lineman Malik Agbo is down to a final four schools of Auburn, Miami, Oklahoma and Texas.
Two of those have undergone coaching changes in the last week, the other two have first year head coaches.
So while Agbo waits to see what happens with Oklahoma's offensive line coach, Bill Bedenbaugh, he is plenty familiar with new Miami head coach Mario Cristobal and offensive line coach Alex Mirabel.

"Those two coaches (Cristobal and Mirabel) would definitely have a positive impact," said Agbo. "My relationship with both of them is pretty good and I don't think them leaving would change."
Still, Texas is the only school that's come in for a visit this month and the Horns are making a big push with him.

"I had coach (Kyle) Flood come up to the school last week and we had a good talk," said Agbo. "He met with me and my parents. Just my mom went with me on my official visit so my pops got to meet him and it was nice and pretty cool. Coach Flood is mostly recruiting me but I talk to Sark (Steve Sarkisian) a lot and PK (Pete Kwiatkowski) hops in every now and then. I visited there for the Oklahoma State game."
Auburn is expected to come visit this week.
"Coach (Bryan) Harsin and coach (Will) Friend have been recruiting me hard," said Agbo. "Coach Friend is supposed to be coming out here."
Agbo visited Auburn for the Mississippi State game last month.
Oklahoma made his final four prior to Lincoln Riley's departure and he visited them in June.
But he hasn't talked with offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh since Riley left for USC.
"I've been peeking and trying to get the inside scoop but I'm trying to wait and see what happens there with the offensive line job because I haven't talked to coach Bedenbaugh since it happened," said Agbo.
With four official visits taken, all to his final four, Agbo has one visit left.
But he doesn't anticipate taking that one.
"I have taken four officials but I won't take my last one," said Agbo.
Agbo, instead, is playing basketball and building up to his announcement on Wednesday, December 15th, the first day of the early signing period.
"I've shed a couple of pounds from basketball season and it's been real nice," said Agbo.
The 6-6, 330-pounder will then throw the shot put in the spring for Beamer's track team.
"I'll sign next week and then I'll be a summer enrollee and just hang out with the boys before I leave," said Agbo.
A four-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, Agbo ranks as the No. 21 offensive tackle nationally and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Washington in 2022.

Auburn may have an opening as well. December 8 is deadline for all Auburn employees to show proof of vaccination or hit the bread line.

Aggie got some guard I don’t know anything about even though apparently we offered him at some point.

Where are their numbers now, I assume this doesn’t mean much in regards to Banks, Neto, and Dewberry

Yo…. Spare out of state OG that Texas moved on from… you want to commit now so we can claim the UT NIL don’t mean shit and so we can say we are out of spots when the other OL sign there instead of us…

Lol.  $9.95 sites are to confidence scams as NIL is to bag dropping.  Just a legal way of doing the same thing.

The longer he goes without committing to Texas Tech after his visit there, the better it is for Texas.  This is better than Higdon.

Lol 2 4 5 3.14 banana 1111, my friend

Mike at Night: OL and Transfer portal notes

— I checked in with sources on Kelvin Banks. The five-star offensive tackle is absorbing the news of the day and working to figure out his next steps. Those we talked with feel Texas is positioned well, but this isn’t going to fall in their lap. One source we spoke with today feels that Texas did a great job throughout the last year building a good relationship with Banks and his family to put themselves in a position to capitalize if he came open. As I wrote this morning, despite whispers that Texas A&M wouldn’t get as much consideration as the Longhorns, I think it would be foolish to count the Aggies out in the race prematurely. Texas now has a new NIL deal for offensive linemen to sell and the chance for him to play immediately. The key will be (like many other recruits), can Texas sell that this is a quick turnaround rather than a total rebuild? In reality, that will be the biggest challenge this staff faces down the stretch for so many recruits. Texas has a major opportunity with their in-home visit this week.

— I’m told that right now, Texas and Texas A&M would both be in play for Cameron Williams. He’s yet to officially open his recruitment back up, but if he does, I anticipate other schools jumping in as well. The one to watch would be a program like TCU that has significant ties to the Duncanville program through Ra’Shaad Samples or Oklahoma, which Williams was looking into before his recruitment ended. Williams doesn’t say much publicly, but those around him expect Texas to put up a strong fight when they go back in-home with Williams this week.

— On the transfer portal front, I reported over the weekend that Jacoby Windmon was expected to visit Austin next week. Windmon is coming off of a trip to Michigan State and picked up a couple of 247Sports Crystal Ball picks for the Spartans. Michigan State is also expected to host Mississippi State transfer Aaron Brule this week and Texas is working on getting him in after that. The Longhorns have had some contact with him early on and would love to add the former Louisiana high school prospect to the roster.

— I don’t have a ton of new information on Quinn Ewers. It’s really just a waiting game at this point. I’ve covered many high-profile recruitments and the problem is when a family keeps something this tight, the outside noise can overpower what’s really true. Working through that and getting to trusted sources is always the biggest priority. I talked to a source last night with a second-hand connection to the family who feels Texas will eventually be the pick. There seems to be a sentiment from most people we talk to that Ewers is doing due diligence, but knows where he wants to go. I can’t dismiss Texas Tech in that way based on what I’ve heard. There hasn’t been much new following the visit to Lubbock. I still sense confidence on the Texas side, but I will say this: One independent source I spoke with and trust feels Texas Tech showed Ewers enough to win this recruitment. As I've said, anyone dismissing Texas Tech at this moment is setting themselves up for disappointment. Ewers’ father told 247Sports that there will be no decision today, so maybe one comes later in the week.
