Yep, I dont know why folks that shit is cool or funny or anything other than assholery.

It would’ve been funnier if they did it to one of the Morris twins.

Well, he's also shown that he's more likely to react and take the bait than other stars. Not that it makes it okay--it obviously doesn't--but it paints a bigger target on his back.

Its still considered protecting the players.    Whether it be from over the top verbal shit, throwing shit them........................or gunfire.   Good grief.
Okay, LeBron. Hyperbole much.

I think there's a lot of truth to this.

All fun and games until one of the players catches one of those fans and beats the fuck out of them

Being spit on is worth an ass whooping. Popcorn not so much
Both are signs of disrespect. Both deserve an ass beating. Both done by people who don't need to be attending sporting events.

Yep. Then all the people watching will call them thugs and say how they need to be locked up. Fans think these stands make them invincible and they can do what they want. The Malice in the Palace is a great example. Those players went after those pussy fans who intentionally provoked them.

I agree with this just stating there is a difference in popcorn vs spit. I would have no issue with a player going into the stands and beating some ass in more than a few cases but over popcorn just seems a bit to much.

I’m curious how these bans work.  Do the post the guy’s picture at every entrance to the arena?  Make sure all of the ticket scanners have the image of his face burned into their brains?  Facial recognition software like Vegas casinos use to ID card counters?

i would have no issue if a player went into the stands and beat some ass over popcorn, but i do understand what you mean by there being a difference between spit and popcorn.  but i have no issue with a player going after anyone in the stands who does anything beyond the typical trash talk.  too many fans think buying a ticket gives them blanket immunity to be an asshole.  would love to see more of those type of people take an ass beating.

I would rather the NBA and the police handle it for the one off situation a player makes a mistake and attacks the wrong person or misreads the situation.

Russ is right, they shouldn’t have to protect themselves or worry about that at anytime on the court.

If you spit on another man the expectation should be that you are going to get punched.

100% of the time!

BUCKS looking good after Nets looked amazing.
2 best teams in the NBA in my opinion. Winner of that series wins the title.

The Bucks are in vengeance mode so it's a little difficult to judge. Although Miami is certainly better than Boston.

Just saying you can tell this shit is personal for MIL and they are making sure there is zero doubt as to who is the better team. Meanwhile BKN just looked bored and was dicking around half the game against Boston in G2.

I want to see how Philly does in their next series. I think it will tell us a lot about who we should expect to win the Finals. As might tonight's G3 in LA.

(The Nets certainly have the highest gear of anyone though. If they are engaged on D and their big 3 is all hitting no one is beating them. But they might not do that 4 times in every series)

A lot of these games suck but it's been a loooong time since the East had 3 legit contenders like this. They still aren't as deep as the West but they are better at the top. All 3 of the top seeds might sweep.

I'm shocked this type of language and sentiment could happen in Utah.  Shocked!

Miami heard the beaches are open and decided to pack it in early...... get started on their tan.

9/10 of these type of things are shitty fans being shitty.  1/10 are family members of famous athletes being drama queens.

Are coaches going to wear three quarter inch zip ups from here on out? I know it started in the bubble but did they vote for it to keep wearing them? They gotta like them way more than the traditional suit and tie

Ayton is such a good player. What a 1, 2, 3 draft class thst was.
I had to look it up to remember who went after Trae Young. Top 15 had some pretty good players. Porter Jr, Collin Sexton, the two Bridges, SGA. Huerter, Brunson, and Devonte Graham also later that draft.

The Lakers need to get their shit together. This is a pathetic first half. Any of the top 3 East teams would be blowing them off the court right now.

I mean really this is one of the worst halves of basketball I've watched all season. From both teams.

Someone check for a carbon monoxide leak.

First half, both teams combined:

Turnovers and personal fouls - 35

Made field goals - 32

In a fucking NBA game. In 2021.

For comparison, DEN/POR is sitting at 16 to 28 right now respectively for those numbers.

Phoenix has 40 points at halftime. Denver has 40 points with 11 minutes left in the first half.

In my mind - 100ish to 100ish is the optimal score for an entertaining NBA game - especially in the playoffs. I'm not a huge fan of the 140 point halves but I'm also not interesting in seeing an 84-81 foul-out slugfest from teams that aren't even playing great defense.

This first round is getting dull. Maybe because outside of the first Jazz/Grizz game and the DAL/LAC it's all just so predictable.

Shitty Boston team getting handled with minimal effort? Check.

Wizards getting outclassed and Westbrook throwing chances away? Check.

Heat giving a scrappy effort in G1 before getting dominated by a much better team? Check.

Two somewhat flawed Hawks/Knicks teams in a tight series? Check.

A team stealing one before falling apart and making zero adjustments against LeBron in the first round? Yep.

Portland doing their best to come up flat in the playoffs again? You bet!

I need a fast forward so we can watch MIL/BKN and both WCSF. Although maybe someone can give us a little drama.

Even the Clippers series - I'm really not that shocked they're down 0-2.
