Which makes this the [checks notes] sixth straight postseason that anyone with eyes has stated the obvious: they need to address that god awful defense if they have any hope of being a real contender. Which means trading CJ and sizing up that backcourt.

Royally sucks that Murray is out. They'd have a real chance to win this whole thing with him.

health permitting, this team will be around for years. drafting/rehabbing MPJ and acquiring Gordon were huge moves. even Millsap and Rivers have been contributing. if they get guys like Murray and Barton back and they stay healthy, this could be a team that contends in the West for years to come.

Shall we discuss the strategy of starting Gasol over Drummond? That is some serious rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic right there. Why? What difference does it make? Fucking Gasol couldn't even post up Devin Booker. The entry pass was shit but cmon. He's so done.

Why the fuck would you even let him play? It took 3 possessions of him guarding Booker and CP to be done. Did he just refuse to be scratched from the lineup?

At least a handful of Lakers fans are going to leave at the quarter break, right?

Depends. Is LeBron in the locker room yet?

Even without Davis, this team shouldn't be this bad. But whatever, it's the NBA. This game could be tied at halftime.

They're averaging 20 points a quarter in 7 quarters without AD. I'm going to guess that it won't be tied.

The supporting cast has been god awful in this series.

I was thinking what the alt line for Lakers -21.5 2Q must be. Like +5000 at least probably.

If nothing else, the fashionably late crowd listening on the radio just turned around their Range Rovers.

How shit changes within a week. After  the Lakers went up 2-1 and CP3 was battling his injury, it looked a little bleak for them. And now, this shit looks like what Dallas did to them in 2011 to knock them out. Damn near a 30pt game in the 2nd.

Last year definitely helped the Lakers with that long vacation in the middle of the season. Allowed an aging Lebron and glass body AD get some needed rest. Injuries caught up to them. Lebron has now missed a lot of time 2 of the last 3 years. AD is constantly banged up. They have some questions this offseason on where to go from here.

3 years in LA:

- Missed playoffs due to LeBron injury.

- Won title in completely abnormal year with a 5 month break before the playoffs to recover.

- First 1st round exit of LeBron's career after AD injury and rust from both AD and LeBron missing months of the season.

What's the future? Rest them just enough to get the 6 seed, then pray?
