Brandi Chastain started a trend in 1999 that no one saw coming!

That’s because he really is 5’3”.

Everyone is 1” to 3” shorter than their listed height.

Sterling is tiny with a big ass, so his centre of gravity is low AF and a pain to guard.

They say Messi is 5'7, but we know he's 5'2. Their height listings crack me up

He might be 5'7" when the metal cleats are on concrete. Shit thats how I got 5'9" on my listing.

Messi is probably 5’5” to 5’6”.

Sergio Agüero is 5’4”-ish.

Tevez is/was shorter than both, but built like an absolute bull.

So who's the best of what's left?

I suck at prognosticating, so someone else call the quarterfinals for me, please.

I would think the money is on either Italy or England. England has the easier path to the final.

1. Belgium (decent gap between 1 & 2)
2. England
3. Italy
4. Spain
5. Swiss
6. Denmark
7. Ukraine
8. Czech

Put Belgium up there too but they would play Italy in the semi.  On paper, England should have an easier semi matchup but with it being England I don't expect them to make the final.

Edit - that's not right, Italy-Belgium is next round and winner would get Spain in the semi.

Italy have been really hot/good for a long stretch. I think they beat Belgium. But then they would have to beat Spain, assuming they take care of ze Sviss..

England should make easy work of Ukraine and whoever wins between Denmark and Czech.

Yep, Tevez and Wayne Rooney were built from the same short stocky/rugby cloth. You could see the vampire teeth coming out of Tevez if he ever smiled.

I think Italy are doing fine, but I don't see why such a love fest. In my mind Belgium and England are well ahead of them in talent with Spain likely being above them as well.

I have the same except Italy beating Belgium. I figure that has to be one "upset" in those games. Belgium is the higher ranked team but Italy arguably have been the best team in Europe as of late. Italians don't concede goals but they haven't had to cover a dude like Lukaku yet. Should be a fun game.

Italy looked like shit vs Austria, and Group Stage runs are fools gold for the knockout rounds. That said Italy will always have the bunker/counter mentality for these matches, but I struggle to see where the goals will come from against better comp.

No neck, 1.5 to 2 heads worth of head. Look at the size of his head vs Agüeros.

Also, look at Tevez next to a listed 5’10” Heinze.

Butt Tevez’s head…. ENORMOUS!!

i don't know how tall/short Santi Cazorla is, but Juan Mata is a full inch taller than The Little Magician, so he's pretty damn small.

Italy also hasn't lost in 31 games and won their last 13 in a row. You don't have that long of a streak by being a sub par team.

PLUS…

Aren’t both KDB & Eden Hazard out for the Italy match?

With those two, I would take Belgium.

Without those two, I’m taking Italy.

KDB out is massive, Eden not as much as he hasn't done much for 2 years now. Italy are a machine at this stage, but Belgium are far more creative. Lukaku can single handedly knock the Italian back four into submission.

He's 5'3"ish depending on how soft the grass is.

Totally agree on talent, but again the coaching has them playing as a unit. And I think that is what gives them the edge. Especially with Belgium’s injuries.

Czechs have to fight against the Archangel Eriksen, I'm not sure they even score on Denmark.

Maybe.  I dunno.  Sometimes the other team wins in the Euros.  Sorry for the shit-talking, I know European football is a very polite sport with no room for smack talk.  My apologies for rooting for some squads and against others.  I get predictions wrong all the time in sports, everybody does.  I hate England, Belgium, Italy, France, Russia, and a bunch of others.  Those Spaniards, they seem nice.  It's been a great tourney so far, I'm enjoying it and look forward to more face-fucking.

Italy/England in the Final.

I'd pick Belgium to take Italy out if Hazard and KDB were healthy.

And I'll root for Spain to beat Italy, but I just don't see it.

And yeah, England has a history of Englanding, but they haven't conceded in four games and they finally beat Germany, so this feels different.  I don't know if they can win the Final, but I'll be shocked if they're not in it.
