and cannon shoots PERPINDICULAR to the face of goal

That one seemed like a Zardes accident goal waiting to happen.   But wasn’t to be this time.

Setup by his brilliant first touch that went like 20 feet in the air.

lletget has passed the ball backwards on his last 6 touches

canada can simply unload their right side because lletget absoultely will not try to run at anyone or attempt to give and go

zero threat

actually threat measured in negative numbers

Did Dike just hurt his shoulder trying to draw a foul for a face rape?

Yeah, if he did that’s on him and kind of embarrassing from the angle I saw.

I've got a lot to bitch about, but it's apparent I've bitched enough on this thread.  I'll just say this, though...

1) We had ZERO shots on goal and ONE corner after the 20th second.  That would piss me off against, say, Italy.  Against Canada, that's disgusting.

2) Berhalter let the midfield get run over for 60 mins, then, used all of our subs for the final 20 mins.  That left Dike playing with a possible broken collar bone because the US had no more subs.

3) Speaking of subs.  We had to run the game out after bunkering for God knows how long.  What's Berhalter's great plan to overcome his other great game management?  Throwing out a midfield of Lletget, Yeull, and Roldan (with Hoppe who did well).  And I thought Charlie Strong was bad.

That has to be the worst win I’ve ever seen.

I hear you, but I’ve seen some crap wins through the years.

I don’t understand how a Zardes / Dike pairing is supposed to work.

They must have looked at this in practice, but it seems like an obvious disaster in my opinion.

This turned out to be spot on.

I’m trying to think of a Mack Brown win that was the equivalent of that game.

2009 Big 12 Champ game?  13-12

only other one close would be the 1999 Rice game  18-13

Andy Swift was the 2nd GM of the Dallas Burn and was and may still be a concacaf match official.

Peter Welpton was a founding member of the Inferno in 1996 and hosted the first dedicated soccer radio hour in Dallas in the late 90s.  Pete was I believe the producer for Kidd Kraddick for 2 decades.
