Doesn't get any better than that.

No, we were not from Killeen.

APD Chief: Crime, violence has dropped on East Sixth Street since weekend reopening to cars

Last year, police officers used force a total of 177 times in January and February in that area. That dropped to 88 during the same period this year. Meanwhile, the number of officer injuries there decreased to four from 14 in the same period, while arrests dropped to 113 from 171.

Color me not shocked at all

"But you're ruining 6th street!?!?!?!?!!?"

On a related note, unless I'm missing something, last homicide in Austin was February 12th.  I'm sure I've jinxed it now.

Also, has there been an update on this? https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/pedestrian-fatally-struck-by-vehicle-on-south-mopac-frontage-road-in-south-austin

How do all those black women get through that neighborhood to Mt. Bonnell without all the Karens calling the police?

The shooting happened around 4:08 p.m. on the southbound Interstate 35 service road at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

Drove past there at 3:30 p.m. yesterday so this hits close to home.

Two more pieces of shit out of the gene pool, at least for a while (I hope).

If your masculinity is so fragile as to get into a road rage incident, we're all better off without you around.

I have to say this headline sucks... was it near the UT campus?  Yes... it was on a feeder by the UT campus but it had nothing to do with or would have truly impacted anyone on the UT campus.  Kind of feels like a fear-mongering headline.  How about road rage shooting off of I-35.

Simple solution…

Don’t leave anything in your car that is valuable.

In my north austin neighborhood, neighbors would complain of breakins. One lady liked to leave her garden tools in her truck. Others would report wallets stolen.

Some people even advocated for leaving your doors open so they wouldnt break windows. That may work in the Tenderloin district surrounded by crackheads, but up here we have people just randomly checking if doors are open

Random guess that it wasn't the first warning shot the guy's fired.

The only thing of value in my car is the change in the console.

Years ago, I used to leave my keys in the armrest console of my Jeep Cherokee.  Had it parked in the Stiles Switch parking lot for a visit to the flower shop and left it overnight when I was overserved.  All the change was gone the next day, and the armrest up, but the car was still there.

Braelynn's mom back in Katy isn't going to click and give them eyeballs if it just says "shooting off I-35"

But "near UT," where her precious baby boy goes?

So you went across the street from Stiles Switch for the moist brisket?
