Were the fatalities all in one vehicle?  Bystanders claimed he hit other vehicles for up to a half a mile, which is frankly hard to conceive.

An article I read sounded like it was a single fatality in 5 different vehicles.

So....which one did the hitting, the semi or the box truck?  Because....the box truck is out front.  Honestly, I'm diagraming that scene in my head, and I can't make sense of it.  Wrecked vehicles on both sides of the road, flanking the semi....but stuff wrecked in front of it.  Or maybe the emergency crews moved vehicles all around for access already.

The semi that caused the crash is at the top next to the wrecker truck with crane.

Oh.

Fuck.

Although I still don't understand how there are wrecked cars on both sides of the semi at the bottom.

A loaded semi and trailer can weigh up to 80,000 pounds. My F150 crew can weighs 7,000 pounds for comparison. Even if the trailer was empty it would still be around 35,000 in weight for the tractor and trailer. After that it's physics.

Oh, I get the bowling pin effect.  I just don't get the layout at the bottom -- there's a white semi in between the wrecked cars.  And there are wrecked cars behind it.  If the wrecking ball semi came through and scattered those cars, that makes sense.  But how did what looks to be another intact truck end up between them all?

That seems extremely improbable but I guess it could happen.

I don't know, but that company is probably pissed because their name has shown up in pictures more than the company that caused it.

Oh, and awesome.  The truck driver's name is Solomun Weldekeal Araya.  He ain't no real 'murican.
So, this story is 100% going to become one of how a dirty immigrant killed 5 people......and 0% about how Amazon and Bezos privatize all gains and by using contractors for everything (with all of said contractors being LLC shells with no assets and the bare minimum insurance required by very generous laws passed by lawmakers owned by industry), but socialize the losses of multiple ended/ruined lives.
That'll be a real nice topper to this awful story.  It will be an excuse to further demonize and punish "the other," but in no way will it be used to even SUGGEST corporate accountability.

Dont worry. He’s on the motherfucker!
