With how much shit they talk about the big 12 you’d think they won it more than 1 out of 16 years.

Don’t forget the year they were big xii south champions*

*didn’t actually represent south in title game

Yeah but they had Big XII coaches when they were in the Big XII. Now they have SEC coaches

Uh, no, they have an ACC corch.

The fact those rubes have convinced themselves Longhorn coaches have nothing better to do than troll texaggy.com looking for copypasta is beyond glorious.

Never self reflect, it's all a big conspiracy to keep the sleeping giant from waking and taking over CFB!

One of those programs beat App State.

How dare you talk about AppSt like that. I'll have you know AppSt did indeed have a road win this year against an SEC team unlike aggy. In fact it was against the premier SEC West team in that state! 6-6 with two wins against FCS is what kept AppSt from a bowl game. It's not like AppSt started the year ranked #6 in the nation and went 5-7 while giving up a Sun Belt team's only road win of the year.

forgive me, not sure if it was this thread or the Jimbo 2023 where there was an info dump of their targets. I'm gruntled that their 9.99ers aren't very bullish, and our 9.95ers still are W/R/T Hill. Seems like their renewed confidence last week in getting him back in the fold was short lived.

Please let one of the mystery candidates be Todd Graham. Innovative offensive guy. Terrible human being. Perfect fit for aggy.

Please let the mystery guy be Scott Frost…

Combine his drinking issues that got so bad that it interfered with him being able to recruit, with his personality and temper, with Jimbo’s meddling and it might be a more toxic situation than Petrino.

If you’d pissed yourself hiding in a closet watching Lawrence Phillips beat up your lady friend, you might drink and have a temper too.

*Sends email to Jimbo*

I have to wonder how many of those rubes actually do that.

don't say too much - there are a ton of Texas folks who write letters to Sark (and Herman, and Strong, and Mack and...and...and...)

Hmm. It's almost like taking mercenaries with questionable character, particularly ones from places like Miami or the East Coast and placing them in College Station might be a questionable way to build a football roster.

I mean, who could have possibly seen this coming?

Absolutely no recognition of that in those posts. I guess Jimbo is a hell of a recruiter is all they have left for a few months anyway. They were perfect when recruited but, evidently, couldn't live up to the Ag Code of Honor and the pressure of being in the SEC West.

Good riddance!

Good luck attracting players in the portal to sign on for depth purposes.

They are going to be pulling those G5ers who can't crack the starting lineup to fill out their SECSECSEC roster. What could possibly go wrong?

I have a feeling this is going to be the hardest landing we have seen in quite some time. Sure they might fill in their roster with some guys, but they sure don't seem to be making much noise in any talent acquisition channel at the moment. It's almost as if Jimbo doesn't know what to do, and even if he did, he still has to convince kids that all that stuff that happened last year won't continue. Nobody is giving them the benefit of the doubt on the OC hire either.

It would seem to me that players would see aggy running for doors like the building was on fire and realize that's not a place to be.

It was only his fifth year. I’m sure recruits will overlook these growing pains. As long as they lift the bags with the legs and not their back, anyway.

It’s hilarious they act like these “depth guys” are no big deal when they had so many “injury” issues this year. One of the most “injured” teams in all of CFB and they don’t see it as a problem that their roster is basically one or two actual injuries away from a complete and total implosion.

They're just depth guys. When has depth ever helped a team?

It's always crazy to watch aggies rationalize bad shit happening with their program. Of the 20 guys officially in the portal from ATM, 9 of them are from the last two classes. 6 of them were originally top 100 national recruits. 13 4 stars, 2 5 stars. Y Brown was a 4 star and he's not listed yet. If Cooper does jump, he's another 4 star. Admittedly, one of the players (3 star) is a kicker, but the premise that many of the rest of these guys were dead weight is laughable. Their guys going in are young.

Compare their losses, so far, to Texas. Texas has 12 scholarship players in the portal. 4 of them are offensive linemen. ATM has one OL in there. You want the non-performing OLs such as Garth, Parr and Karic in there, as they don't contribute on special teams. Admittedly, losing Angilau wasn't ideal. There are 4 guys from 2021 in there and none from 2022. One of the 2021 is the punter. It's mostly older guys that have been passed over on the depth chart.

Sign a big class every year and then optimize & cherry-pick from the portal. A&M is bizarrely doing the opposite. Signing a tiny class and then trying build all of their depth in the portal.
