if you dump the first 21 games from the rivalry and only do since game 22 when they started rotating between Austin and College Station, Texas still leads 61-33-5

My favorite would be to adjust the record for years the NCAA determined a team to have committed major infractions. Without the Jackie/RC FedEx era, whoops.

Throw in the Charley Moran cheating.

By my count, the record is 85-28*-5. *minus aggy known cheating years

I removed the known cheating years and counted them as forfeits. Pretty damned lopsided.

What in the living fuck are those hayseeds blathering about? Christ almighty, they’re more into their feelings than when I tell my 7 year old he can’t have candy for breakfast.

Some are into the anger stage of grief, some are into the bargaining (just wait until the rest of the SEC sees what we see).

It's beautiful.

I know we are accustomed to this and immune to the intended insult, but the way they talk about Texas is so unique in CFB. To us, they're in-state rivals and a cult (facing dilution) of weirdos. To them, we're the object of a jihad to protect the faithful against the Great Satan. The below is from a highly decorated poster. He really believes what he is writing.

image.png.c6377550118f9fe83d883d4c2007910f.png

From an even more highly decorated Texag, below, we get the usual big lie. If the SEC schools were insecure, this lie might take hold. The Aggies don't realize that those schools are not thinking about either them or us all the time. The Aggies are like some drunk cowboy in a saloon railing about the evil that's coming. The saloon doors creak open, and it's Gus coming in from Lonesome Dove for a whisky. The entire SEC Saloon starts roaring with laughter at the idiot cowboy. (I realize that I just described that excellent video of Texas and OU joining the celebrating office.)

I think dermdoc must be a generalissimo or something.

image.png.1e81d2caa889ae9a07345155bec3f2e3.png

1 The horror of turning in a criminal.

2 Made-up shit.

3 Our reach is incomprehensible. Who do you think encouraged Hitler to invade Poland in 1939 to distract the world from the glory of the virtuous Aggies "winning" a national championship? You guessed it. tu

Their ability to hold dissonant thoughts in their heads at the same time is unmatched.

image.png.6d3ba7e555c779342e4b2e4054299109.png

See note #1 above. Texas is evil for telling the NCAA we were cheating our asses off during our most successful period since TV/Texas only knows success through cheating an unlevel playing field.

image.png.be2bf17929cbbb707daa4452067602e9.png

One might wonder about whom he is writing. Who comes to mind when clowns make their way into a conversation.

image.png.f0f89388c085224650c818b5ef10ea7b.png

Another Aggie, maybe Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Genius, flexes what that Aggie degree and ring really mean.

1.  Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee,  Auburn, and LSU don't by any means subscribe to the idea of a fair and level playing field in the SEC.

2.  It's hilarious that they think they should have gotten major concessions like they had bargaining power.  What were they going to do be the one dissenting vote if the SEC didn't play ball?

Even for aggy, this level of delusion is amazing.

UT has always tried to be fair in their dealings with the other schools (revenue sharing, LHN).  The administration has never acted like the Borg despite what these morons are saying.   Can you imagine Alabama or Georgia getting fucked over by the refs against Okie St.?

Being in a league with more than one peer will be advantageous on many levels.

I like how aggy claims Texas has killed two conferences, yet their rampant cheating destroyed the SWC, and their insufferable spite of being in our shadow lead them to leave the Big 12. Though it's tough to say the Big 12 is destroyed, it will likely be the 3rd strongest conference once the realignment is finished. What USC and UCLA are doing to the Pac-12 is much worse, but I don't blame either of those schools for looking out for themselves. College conferences should be looked at as nothing more than a way to easily schedule some games close to your school.

Lol at that last sentence following the previous.  Those are antithetical thoughts.

at this point conferences are pooled resources to leverage collective bargaining power for media rights deals.

Sips are going to come turn us in for cheating again, they are such a dirty program!
tu only THINKS they have more money than any other SEC school, but it’s not true and not like it’s public info anyways.

But here’s the thing.  If ESPN had gone to aggy and offered 300M for their own network, they would have quickly declined because that wouldn’t be fair.   Honor code and shit, right?

Just so we can trigger the absolute shit of them

Also do people remember dermdoc being doxxed by reddit over his him threatening his Obama voter employee? that little bitch bent the knee real fast back then, surprised the wife let him back online.

The best part of the announcement regarding us joining the SEC in 2024 is hearing all about how clever we are in getting what we want or the fact SEC associated themselves with an 800 pound gorilla that gets what they want through all necessary means. In the end no matter how we do it they are afraid we always get the best deal for us to the detriment of others. All we ever think of them is what stupid deal with they get themselves into next. It says it all about how we perceive each other and they want to think we take their lead.

I can't imagine how tough life is on people that stupid.   Couldn't happen to a more deserving group of idiots.

I dunno...perpetual victimhood is a thing these days. If you're off on your own as a mediocre insurance salesman, you can get away with playing the victim all fucking day long and it may even make you feel better about your lot in life. If you're a con artist and play the role of a perpetual victim, whether in business or in politics, they're the exact type of person you can convince to follow you. Obviously they're death to team morale though if you're in that type of environment. But if you're hiring people, or in charge of the people who hire people, there are relatively easy and effective things you can do to screen for them. In fact I was just coaching someone yesterday on how to do just that after he bemoaned the number of perpetual victims on his team.

In fact they're now claiming Texas had "Our Guy" in charge of the NCAA and that we also controlled a regional committee that decided which infractions merited further investigation. The University of Texas is the only reason, per aTm, that they got busted for their program breaking bright line NCAA rules. I seriously just read that above.

Coach on hotseat with the worst buyout in college football history that they can't afford, in year 5 goes 5-7 while losing at home to a really bad App State and then has a massive transfer portal exodus = about to go on Bama-like run. Once again, those arrogant damn t-sips are ruining everything for them.

The truth, and they will never admit it, is that they need us in that conference so they can have someone to blame for all of their failures. The decade plus they've had in the SEC without Texas just wasn't enough time to prove that they are actually the problem and their own worst enemy. It's better for them that we come back so they can direct their ire outward instead of looking inward. The boogeyman is back. Act accordingly.

The national media's perception of the UT/A&M rivalry is so weird. I got algorithm recommended the Andy Staples pod and their reasons for why UT was "obsessed" with A&M was Geoff Ketchum's twitter feed, "friend of the show, Billy Liucci," and threads like this on message boards. One of the hosts also opined that Johntay Cook really liked A&M but ultimately chose Texas because A&M's offense was bad, and that maybe in the future, our rivalry game will decide "who gets Johntay Cook." I was in school from 2008-2012 and Texas Tech was a bigger deal! OU is the big rival!

I won't be listening to that again.

I think they truly believe that our conversation with the SEC went something like this:

CDC: Hey Sankey, we think it would be mutually beneficial for us to join the SEC with Oklahoma.

Sankey: I'm listening

CDC: Well, since you are inviting us, we have some demands..

Sankey: OK, anything. Just let me know what it is.

CDC: We want you to break your gentlemen's agreement with A&M in the most embarrassing way possible.

Sankey: But that will set their program back years..

CDC: Exactly. Next on the agenda is that we demand the first game back be played in Austin.

Sankey: But that will make them feel very belittled..

CDC: You catch on fast. Also, we would like all of the other schools in the conference to target them in recruiting to stop them paying players.

Sankey: I suppose I can ask Nick and Kirby, but won't that lead to a 5-7 season full of turmoil and transfers?

CDC: I knew I liked you.. Finally, and this is an important one.. We want longhorn logos embossed on all of the chairs at SEC media days. This is non-negotiable.

Sankey: Gosh, I suppose if it's just for a day..

CDC: No... forever.

Sankey: Deal

CDC: Say hello to Mrs. Sankey for me.

I imagine it went like this:

Texas: "Hey, we'd like to join the SEC, and we're bringing OU."

Sankey: "Fantastic! We can send aggy and MIssouri back to the Big12."

Texas: "We'd love that, but it's time to make them our bitch again."

If Texas and OU weren't bringing more eyes and money, they wouldn't have been brought into the SEC.  It's that simple.  it's not complex, and that directional school had little say in it. That stings.  Bringing UT in was them being told they aren't the premier school in Texas.  They also didn't bring any bowl dollars to their conference either, while comfortably securing the mid-tier their entire SEC existence.  They whine but it's all about money and they know it, especially since they bag most of their team.  Furthermore, Jimbo was just made to bring in an offensive coordinator because their offense stinks, and they couldn't afford his buyout.  Otherwise, their diploma mill university, shit show sports writers/bagmen, future produce stockers masquerading as current players were on trajectory to run the SEC.  Sure thing, pre-war WWII champs.

The only thing that will be UT's fault will be the annual aggy beat down Texas inflicts on their sorry asses, which sent them packing from every conference they've ever shared.  Thanks for keeping the SEC warm with a presence in Texas but hope you kept all your belongings in their well traveled boxes.  We fully expect you'll be running again real soon.  Fucking Case McCoy'ed their asses right out the door the last time, and now there's a Manning in the fold.  Goodby and good luck.

1.) Absolutely, and also hilarious.

2.) Make no mistake, they were fulling planning on being one dissenting vote, and the SEC told them to go get their fucking shinebox. Except, in this story, aTm went and got their shinebox and then dropped to their knees without word.

Texas, looking out for its interests, talks to PAC about bringing in some B12 schools but ultimately stays in the B12 = mean ol tu destroyed the great B12 conference!!!!11!!

corn, CU, Mizzou, and aggy actually leave the B12, some in a behind the back sneaking manner = we're smart because we left the shitty, dying B12 that mean ol tu killed!!!11!!!
