I’ve put this out there before but their only leverage is threatening to NOT fire him and make him stay and make his life as miserable as possible.  “Are you sure you want 5 more years of this?” stuff. Such a weird situation they’ve gleefully run full speed into.

CSPD is anti aggy.  Fulmer Cup standings out front should have told you.

Guys - that poster is just being snarky about some KKL statements (about Jimbo walking away and foregoing his buyout, and about his supposed net worth), and the others are giving him props for that.

They can't really be this dumb, can they?

I know aggy are not smart, but none of them actually believe Jimbo will walk away from +$70M because he "respects the university"...right???

You misread it. It's because "he respects this Univeristy."

Stallings was 27–45–1 at aggy. Also, Stallings did not win until 1992 and A&M was in the middle of Fed-exing themselves to good seasons and in 1992 had one of their best seasons. So I call bullshit on what good all Dr. Dave said.

These aggys already have it all lined up. If Jimbo wins next year they will say, we told you you were not ready for us you stupid sip. If Jimbo loses take your pick:

a) Jimbo wants his money and he let you win so he could get fired you stupid sip.

b) We are not upset about the loss since you helped us get rid of Jimbo you stupid sip.

c) You got lucky this was not our year, come back to us next year when we kick your ass you stupid sip.

They'll probably try to get him on a violation of their honor code or walking on the grass.

Then they get to pay attorney fees on top of the guaranteed pay.

They created a paper trail from the Hurricane Harvey relief funds straight to Jimbo.

They wouldn’t fire him for that, he’d just have to sit out coaching the first quarter of the PVAMU game

Using that logic, a large bag of pills wouldn’t do it either.

In the words of the honorable Edwin Edwards, the only way Jimbo’s getting fired for cause is if he gets caught with a live boy or a dead girl.

I’m thinking the sex scandal is a no go. Jimbo probably never leaves his castle after he gets home. They need to set up some agent provocateurs in the stands to heckle Lil’ Jimbo and get that Napoleon rage flowing on camera, like the FSU “come down here and say that shit” video. Their only hope for “cause” is to get him to blow his lid and lose it on a “fan” or something.
You're working under the assumption he still gives a fuck about any of that. He knows all he has to do is go through the motions, don't rock the boat and the aggybucks will keep flowing into his bank account from here to eternity. (In football years at least) He could phone it in every day until his contract expires (remember, a non extension when his contract nears it's end is the kiss of recruiting death lololol) and the gomers are helpless to do anything about it.

This is a panoply of aggie tropes all wrapped up in one glorious post.

-it’s too early to fire jimbo (in year 6) - check

-alludes unrelated and dated coaching decisions in other sports and eras - check

-makes a favorable comparison to shitty SEC programs that haven’t been nearly as good as referenced Big 12 programs - check

-speaks wistfully of an alternate universe  in which ATM has a perfect record - check - they do this every fucking year!

-condescends people about age while being the stereotypical old aggie who is so comfortably indoctrinated into being a loser that he can’t even fathom why the youngins are demanding change - check

-next year is the year! - check

-disingenuously paints the team as really young even though they’re only starting one freshman on either side of the ball and have 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year players all over the field. - check

The guy damned near covered every base with that post.

The one that gets me the most is #3 where he says that don't "get to play" Ok State, but rather "have to play" SCar and Arky.  That's an epic WTF amonngst the legion of WTFs.

Jimbo will be the aggy coach next season even if he loses out.  He isn’t going anywhere.

They'll keep him, then use losing to Texas to rally the donors.

Only because of Aggie prayers. Can you imagine any other fans being nice to someone who fell down in the stands?

At Memorial Stadium, Longhorns usually shower them in urine, stomp them to death, and then throw them off the top of the upper deck.

Dumbass redneck does not get that they moved heaven and earth just to get one over big bro, remove the Texas element and A&M does not leave even the Big 12 out of turdition.

You want em to fire Jimbo? just show em Texas fans asking them to keep Jimbo, that ought to do it.

Yeah, the delusional Ag poster is referring to the 2012 season in which aggy beat Bama, which went on to win the NC game in Jan. 2013 against Notre Dame.

Put it on the wall!

Vato is a long troll horn.   Amazing that only a few of them over there have picked up on it.
