The Elk doesn’t hire people on a whim. He meticulously investigates candidates like nothing we’ve ever seen before. The Elk’s coaching searches are so organized that even Saban has studied them.  In fact, the top minds at nasa are studying his methods right now.

Did you know he went to Penn???

I check in around once a quarter on this thread and skim for about 2 minutes before I have to stop myself because I’m not capable of reading nonsense and laughing at it, I want to apply logic and reason and demonstrate that the stupid stuff being said is stupid. I’m not made for interacting with aggy. The stupid burns and bothers me too much.

Well, if there were national idiot poster rankings for school message boards as there is for school football recruiting Texags would not be a sleeping giant as far as that goes. There are instances where it could get close sometimes but I think their no. 1 ranking would never really be in jeopardy.

Boy, they still have it in their heads that our culture is bad, we don't develop talent, and that we are weak in the trenches. They got all that after we pushed their shit in for 60 straight minutes playing a 3 star backup LT, a 3 star LG, a 3 star C and a 3 star TE. And our walkon safety picked them off, broke up another pass and had a TFL while delivering an emotional post-game speech about a fallen teammate while showing an incredible amount of restraint and class.

But yeah... it's all about NIL and Texas buying players. That's the only reason Texas is any good. We've had top 5 recruiting classes forever and jack shit to show for it.

Man, don't you know anything? They were like 3 plays away from beating us... with a FRESHMAN QB! That's basically as good as a win. Just wait til next year, sips.

All they had to do is just run the FG play, the TD play, and the 2 pt conversion....and voila....aggy victory.

You forgot our 3 star DE that detonated their fourth and goal play and broke their lil hearts

You know they have a point there... Sark was totally out coached, got all the calls, and all the bounces, and they were two plays away from winning the game by multiple scores.  They don't need to change a single thing with their program except have all that stuff for their way instead.

you....you....dirty rotten scoundrel

While it was an inevitability that they'd ultimately edit the game result into a fictionalized victory, it's still always funny to see. The speed is surprising, but also adds to the entertainment.

The bigger thing to me is that it's indicative of behaviors throughout the whole organization. The Elk blamed refs, the admins and boosters think they're a few plays away, and the fans convince themselves of their hypothetical wins and glory. Nothing therefore changes, no one gets introspective and grows, and they play Charlie Brown to the world's Lucy, again and again.

The part I like, is that this is ultimately the same joke over and over, year after year, and yet, somehow we find new ways to enjoy it.

Every time I read some of their drivel I can’t help but wonder how theoretically grown men can run around typing tu instead of UT or Texas. It’s so immature and cringey. And they think somehow that’s an insult when no Texas fan cares at all. It’s just weird.

You are on a board where 95% of the people type "aggy" instead of "Aggie / A&M"

FIFY.

Not once, in any Texags or other post, have I seen any indication that any Aggie cares at all about the “aggy” thing. It’s very Aggie to type aggy.

I used to do it. And then one day thought “this is dumb.”

I stopped doing it a long while ago, last time I used it was for the official name of the rollercoaster.

Aggie is good enough seems to be the same singular groupthink mentality but without the childishness.

RIP TPE.

They believe their own shit.

They are salt-of-the-earth, homespun, honest folk. God's children. Austin is a den of iniquity populated by scum without honor. So, psychologically, they have to be better than us. Their whole worldview demands it. They have to have tried harder than us, we have to have cheated if we beat them, and there have to be conspiracies holding back their innate greatness. Otherwise, they're just a bunch of dumb rubes that everyone laughs at. It's a religious mentality built on absolutely nothing.

Really?? They censor it on Texags. They can't even type anything that ends in aggy without it being censored.

Texags launched in 1998.  The Aggies won their last conference title in 1998.  In genuine sincerity, I do not think this is a coincidence.  The victim complex groupthink generated by that website amongst that fanbase (even at the highest, most influential levels) has done immeasurable harm to that athletic department, and I love it so much.

Except “aggy” is blocked out on Texags.

And he wasn't the only one wrecking shop on that play.  Check out the rest of the D-line on that play, esp. Broughton and Norton.  Frankly, the aggy RB wouldn't have scored even if Burke hadn't made the play.

You are correct. However, that is a lot of words for cult!
