who the fuck is telling these idiots they have the most resources in college football. blatant lie. they keep forgetting or don't want to believe that besides any resources they claim, TO PLAY OR COACH AT AGGY YOU HAVE TO STAY IN SHITHOLE COLLEGE STATION. therefore you overpay until whoever you overpaid to be there comes to their senses and leaves that abortion of a town.

The BMA that killed the Stoops deal was the same who ponied up to buyout Fisher, who was a friend. That BMA is buddies with Liucci and friends with The Elk.

Bjork oversold the ability to replace Fisher with another big name. Guys and their agents weren’t even taking ATM phone calls, Bjork makes the panic hire, word leaks, the BMA involved talks with Liucci and they throw a fit, the BMA calls Elko and hires him.

This BMA isn’t going to let Elko get fired any time soon and they’re not going to be willing to foot the buyout. ATM is in a pickle unless they find help elsewhere and are fine alienating a major force inside their donor base, both for athletics and academics.

Self-criticism is key to any successful operation. Hanging on to old approaches and traditions and habits is fatal in a competetive field. That's a ball and chain the Aggies will likely never escape.

This is it. This is why they fail.

They think just buying players is the fix, yet they bought the best HS class of all-time and they are barely over .500 with them. It is 100% development and supplementation. The portal allows you to quickly back fill holes on your roster, but Ole Miss is proving you can't build a consistent winning team through the portal. You still need HS recruiting and development.

They have shitty position coaches and a horribly antiquated S&C regime. Their players are not getting better there, while our 3 star guys are getting developed into quality starting players and potential NFL draft picks.

Well said

The parrots have created reality through repetition:

Sark didn't recruit them. Sark didn't coach them to any effect. Sark has little to do with the success of the program since his second year. They bought him a roster.

You know why the idiots who agree with this idiot hold to this? They proclaimed Sark a drunk incompetent who never won anywhere and wouldn't win at Texas. To hold onto that absurdly wrong claim, the parrots in this flock must say coaching doesn't matter in order to hold their ground on Sark.

It's the Aggiest thing in the world. Be wrong or do wrong, and the world must be changed to make you right. Every riot they started in the last century was started by the other side doing something horrible, usually to an aged grandmother or war veteran.

They're the greatest school and student body in the world and only conspiracies keep the world from seeing the truth or allowing the Aggies to prove their manly manful ascendancy over all.

They hit the portal hard. We buy players. A distinction without a difference.

ETA: I wrote this before seeing @HtownHorn's post. Alas, I become a parrot.

They have no comprehension because they’ve never done it. Any success their program has had has come through cheating. Mercenary players. They tried  it again and failed miserably. It’s hilarious. Turdition.

Since they are so sure that NIL is what saved the program and roster, i wonder what dissonance they’d patch together if they were told that thought is proof that Texas was never cheating in the same way that they, or lsu, bama, Georgia, were cheating all along.  Such a thought doesn’t seem to be occurring to them organically.

It's not because the entire world looks at the milkmen and the dead collie scoreboard and the elephant walk and various places on campus where the grass is sacred and can only be walked upon by seniors and says "those are some fucking weirdos."

To a non-gambler, ridiculing a person for not risking more money at a gaming table seems strange. If you're getting a kick out of being at the (evidently) despised $25 table, why risk more?

I will say his appearance suggests either the $3 table or beneath a blue tarp would be appropriate environs.

Yeah, I get that $25K is probably nothing to someone who makes what he makes, but if I were actually trying to win, win, I wouldn’t sit down without at least 1000 units.

If he’s not trying to win, win — and looking at the way he executes a strategy and builds a team and staff, he probably isn’t trying to win anything — then the objective is likely just to play as long as he can before he runs out of time, so why not play at a lower stakes table?

There is nothing wrong with a $25 table. I’ve never been able to bring myself to playing for more unless it is with house money.

As to his appearance, unfortunately it’s par for the course even with nice strip casinos these days. There are plenty of shabbily dressed folks at the craps and blackjack tables.

Well, let me stop you at non-gambler. These threads get derailed for cheese, so why not some gambling? Although, let me try to explain it in other terms. It’s not so much ridiculing his risk aversion, it’s ridiculing his fucking income to risk.

The point of gambling is thus:

A) To make money

B) The excitement of the risk

C) Both A and B

That fat slob makes millions of dollars, he’s not making any meaningful money (for him) playing $10 chips, and therefore there isn’t much of a rush for winning/losing. So he’s wasting his fucking time drinking free Coronas. If he doesn’t like gambling that much, fine, then why isn’t he doing something else like fucking game prep? or eating at a nice fucking restaurant, as clearly he likes fucking eating and boozing.

He makes millions of dollars, we’d also ridicule him for dressing like a hobo, eating nothing but $1 Jack In The Crack tacos, driving a used pinto, etc. The guy is a John Daly/Matt Rhule level boozer and we’d also make fun of him for drinking a cosmopolitan.

Signed,

A guy who only plays $10 chips at $25 dollar tables.

I have not seen much ( any) discussion of the tail spin of the aggy season and how it correlates with Reed. He comes in against LSU and leads the ags to victory. Then named starter. Then loses 4 of the next 5 games with the only win against a shit non P4. Yet I see their reaction on him as QB 1 to be quite positive.

am I wrong?  When does the mob turn on Reed?  I find it odd considering how quickly aggy usually turns on the starting qb when the furk coaster is rolling.

They’ve already turned on Reed. They want Klein’s scalp. The LSU game was fool’s gold. Reed completed 2 passes in the game, and LSU can’t fundamentally defend a running QB. I also think their schedule was a more backloaded than they cared to acknowledge. South Carolina and of course Texas are top 10 teams. Auburn was just a horrific loss on so many levels, but we/they should have seen it coming. Auburn has their number.

Their continual comparisons to Sark’s first year are hilarious. The only reason Elko was hired was to preserve the ‘22 class (he helped recruit them, and knew how to use them). Everything was built around that class. They were not supposed to be in rebuilding mode. Elko even acknowledged that.

But the window on that class slammed shut. They will now start rebuilding. They’re in year zero.

Or the Robert Downey Jr Less than Zero.

CTJ was correct, of course. I put the wrong class number in.

Aggy Misery Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their aggy misery problem.  It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.M.A. meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their aggy misery problem.

A.M.A.’s primary purpose is to help aggy misery addicts to achieve sobriety.

image.thumb.jpeg.b29b977f23a850a1a4f8b293bf028e02.jpeg

How A.M.A. works

Members use the Twelve Steps to maintain sobriety. Groups use the Twelve Traditions to stay unified.

image.thumb.jpeg.f897558f84618d6efc7e4758ff4445da.jpeg

A.M.A.’s Twelve Steps are a set of spiritual principles. When practiced as a way of life, they can expel the obsession with aggy misery and enable the sufferer to recover from addiction.

The Twelve Traditions apply to A.M.A. as a whole. They outline how A.M.A. maintains its unity and relates itself to the world around it.

The book Aggy Misery Anonymous describes the A.M.A. program of recovery. It also contains stories written by the co-founders and stories from a wide range of members who have found recovery in A.M.A.

Who Are A.M.A. members?

We are people who have discovered and admitted that we cannot control our compulsion to read TexAgs. We have learned that we must live without it to live normal, happy lives.

We are not against aggy misery and we have no wish to reform the world. We are not allied with any group, cause or religious denomination. We welcome new members, but we do not recruit them.

We do not impose our experience with aggy misery addiction on others, but we do share it when we are asked to do so. We know our own sobriety depends on connecting with other aggy misery addicts.

If being addicted to Aggie misery is wrong,  I don't want to be right.
