The first one i assumed was a typo; then he doubled down on making “ontop” a word.

My phone won’t even allow me to get away with that without a fight.

Shit, he used "fuck" once and then in the next paragraph he used "fk".

He also doesn't know what a hyphen is.

Sad.

This list is far too generous to A&M.

They wish teams like Oklahoma State and TCU were their peer group for football. OSU has had consistent football success for 20 years, and has won a conference title and played for several others. Same for TCU, who (unlike A&M) has made and even won a game in the CFP. Utah and Oregon have also won conference titles. Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa, ISU, and Wake Forest have all at least played for conference titles.

A&M hasn't even come close to doing shit in football since before Hitler's demise. They are on par with Texas Tech and Washington State, at best.

Even when they whine about their lack of success, they overestimate their importance.

Baseball - Wake Forest ('55), Minnesota ('56, '60, '64), Oklahoma St ('59), Cal ('47, '57), Missouri ('54)

Basketball - Wisconsin ('41), Oklahoma St ('45, 46), Cal ('59), Utah ('44)

Football - Iowa ('58), Minnesota ('40, '41, '60)

So that leaves A&M plus 13 others:

Boston College

Virginia Tech

Illinois

Northwestern

Purdue

Rutgers

Iowa State

Kansa State

TCU

Texas Tech

West Virginia

Oregon (basketball '39)

Washington St

Texas A&M

If you look at this list, the two schools that they most closely resemble are probably vatech and wazzu.

Vatech also has a strong rotc presence I believe and is an engineering school, plus their primary school color is a deep red/maroon. It’s not 1:1. Oh and they haven’t won shit in 80 years.

Are you kidding?  They were awesome in 2020 Covid year per Liucci.  I mean they did get smoked by the one good team they played.  But they beat 8-4 Florida as their signature win by 3 points.  And won the Orange Bowl.  Against a 5-loss UNC team whose entire offense was sitting out.  They were right there man.

Dating back to 20 years after aggy's last football "natty" puts this one squarely in the Pleistocene.

Some poor fucker just had enough and chucked that shit into the woods. That’s fucking hilarious.

It's an amazing testament to human resilience, denial and delusion that people still willingly go to that school and root for their sports teams.  The a&m logo is a badge of futility and shame, yet we still see them everywhere proudly displayed.  Just amazing.

I stopped into the VaTech campus when driving my sister’s car & dog up to NYC and was shocked at how impressive the campus was. (I have seen the difference between UNC & NC State.)

Some of the structures reminded me of the Duke campus (that I haven’t seen since 1990).

Here are a few shots I got before dusk when I was racing to find a bathroom.

I drove through coming back from New England and just a few weeks after the shooting. Worthwhile side trip. I did the same thing passing through Tuscaloosa. I'm not like you rich fuckers going to all the away games.

I drove through W. Virginia one time. Gorgeous drive but Morgantown is a surprising dump.

I went to see Texas versus WVU on their last trip to Morgantown. We spent a long weekend in Pittsburgh and loved it. Had a car take us into and out of Mortantown as promptly as possible. Good trip.

I've always wanted to visit W. Virginia. I've heard it's absolutely gorgeous. Same with Vermont.

Vermont is prettier from the parts I've seen - I'll be back this summer. Would like to visit New River Gorge in WV, though.

Yeah, same (W. Virginia). I've heard nothing but good things about it. Everything I've seen it's gorgeous. I need to take off work and take a vacation there. Same with Vermont and New Hampshire.

Mrs. NNM is a Hokie. It’s a very good school, with a corps of cadets that likely has a much higher rate of actual enlistment as TAMU’s cosplay army. And they don’t pretend they’re a military academy.

They also know their place in the world, and despite roughly the same amount of futility/mediocrity/occasional success (Bruce Smith, Michael Vick), they don’t run their mouth, pretending they’re a blue blood. They have plenty of rich alumni also, as one would expect with a school of that caliber.

Interesting note, Mrs. NNM was a sorority sister of Hoda Kotb. Sad note, one of their sorority sisters died by suicide by jumping from the top of that stadium freshman year.

Someone kept clinging to the zeitgeist by being an incredibly useful name for crossword creators. Almost as important a clue to know as the classic opera arias.

You mock Aggie success in the business world but those cattle don't artificially inseminate themselves and those pools don't clean themselves.

From what I've seen here and some talk I've heard, the list is:

1)  When he signed on, Schloss was promised some facilities improvements, not just to the ballpark, but also practice facilities and such.  Those were slow played after the Jimbo firing.

2)  After their success in 2023, Schloss asked for more money for his assistant coaches.  He was turned down, because Jimbo.

3)  As part of the post Jimbo austerity program, some of the baseball support staff were let go without letting Schloss know until after it was done.  When he protested, he was told that it was just that way and he'd better get used to it.

4)  Alberts heard that Schloss was dissatisfied with the above developments and might consider looking elsewhere, so he called Schloss into his office and basically told him that if he was unhappy at A&M, he should look elsewhere.  He invited Schloss to leave.

In short, A&M Aggied it up as only they can.  Why would anyone want to stay and be part of that kind of unprofessional cluster fuck?

There were some fan things as well.

He fought to get the pom squad to dance on the dugout, you know, like every other normal team. Well, old army aggy fans didn't like that because it wasn't turdition. So what did they do? They held up a newspaper in front of their faces so they wouldn't have to see it. Oh the horror!

This was the same game that he called out the fans for being assholes and yelling at the players over the dugout.

IfI were CDC, I would still wake up every morning chuckling about how I fucked over a&m by stealing their baseball coach when we needed one. It really was a masterstroke. Just amazing.

What Aggie fans can’t understand is that it wasn’t about them. UT needed a baseball coach. CDC and Schloss had a great relationship. Trev had destroyed his relationship with Schloss. Done.

It had nothing to do with “owning” little brother or the rivalry. It had to do with CDC finding the best baseball coach he could, with whom he had a great relationship. And Schloss upgrading to a baseball and overall athletics blue blood, the top of his profession (short of MLB).  A business transaction. That’s it.

Not cool of Schloss to pass judgement on the fans' choice of sexual entertainment. So what they wanted some milkmen grinding their cocks in their faces?
