What's the story with Tarp? Is he a fighting texum aggy? He sure seems to have seen the light re: their team this year. These truth bombs he's been dropping don't really fit with the hive over there.

A non slanted mod is a nightmare for them. They don't want to hear anything other than Weigman will win the heisman next season. Liucci will gladly feed them that, but Tarp seems to be playing it straight(er). Honestly, Johnson outplayed Weigman yesterday by a fair margin. He looked more accurate with better decisions.

Isn't Karen the one that lead herself right into the Oklahoma State comparison? If true then she is just that thick otherwise I would have started to think she was a troll. She gets the folks over there all riled up every time.

No, that was some dumb 20-something chick on Barstool Sports. No one pays Karen to show up, spread her cheeks, and show her hairy butthole for the world to see.

But he’s right in line with them if the topic is Texas.  Just happens to be somewhat introspective on his school, and they can’t stand it.

Make no mistake in regards to Tarp, he'll bash Texas any chance he gets.  He could put out a article right now comparing both teams and tell you aggy has an advantage at every position on the field and coaching.

A certain kind of stupid, huh?

Edit:

So his angle is to try and educate the fan base with his enlightenment re: the fighting texum football team, yet still pump them up as better than the real Texas football team.  Ergo, anything he says bad about aggy means the Horns are worse still.

Fun fact: Jim Everett went to my high school. I don't think anyone called him Chris.

Eldorado Eagles holla!  Y’all had to get police escorts to play my high school, Española Valley.

We somehow beat a much better Waco team in basketball in 86. We had to have a police escort back to our bus after the game.

I mean, you’re right…calling someone “Chris Simms 2.0”, and believing that this is somehow a negative thing/implies failure, is fucking idiotic; but in fairness to these dipshits, half of our own fan base would think the same thing.

Chris Simms would be one of the 5 best A&M QBs of all time statistically.

would have been top 5 in career wins i believe. top 5 in career passing yards. top 5 in career TD passes, his junior and senior year would have been 2 of the 10 best seasons a QB has had in their programs history by TD and passing yards.

doing a little more digging, i think he would have left A&M as the career leader in passing yards (would have been passed by Mond, Johnson, JFF), would have left the career leader in passing TDS when he graduated (would have been passed by that same group), would have had had the two of the three highest single season passing yards in program history, would have had the 2 highest passing TD seasons in program history, would have had the highest single game record for passing yards and tied for TDs. would have led the program in all time TDs when he graduated.

his senior year statistically would have been the greatest single season a QB had had in program history up until then. #1 in passing yards, #1 in passing TDs, tied for most wins in a single season in program history, most total TDs in a single season.

If I were on the scout team and had a glorious spring game to win one of those, I'd display it and tell the story. I'd end with the absurd, "And that, my friends, is how a scrub wins an MVP trophy in a spring game." Amusing humble brag.

If I were a scholarship player who'd likely made All-District and maybe All-State in high school and had now played in Division 1 football games, I'd either toss this or give it to a young nephew or niece.

So Shemar, you were a starter for the once premiere and only SEC team in Texas. Even saw the field in the NFL. I remember seeing you on TV. So what's this trophy here?

So glad you asked. It's the MVP trophy from the Maroon-White game in 2013. Of all the 60 or so scholarship players, I won one of the three MVP trophies. (Hefts it proudly.) A trophy!

1 Jesus. At last.

2 Ooops, still not to any point.

3 Ahh, here we go, the proclamation.

4 And the reasoning behind it. Sound stuff! Now you can go back to boring the shit out of everyone you meet talking about your football days, your other international travels, the careers of your four daughters (at least the ones that aren't prostitutes), and prognosticating absurd events. May we one day share the Captain's Table!

Zwerneman not being A&M enough for them is so funny to me.

He went to SHSU and played baseball. but he has written 4 books about A&M. covered the team for 15+ years. he was selected as the person to break Texas/OU to the SEC. he broke the Fran "newsletter". was literally named the national beat writer of the year by the Football Writers Association of America in 2021

he literally met his wife at the Dixie Chicken.

Man, that’s a ton of attention being paid by another team’s fans to a player who is currently our 3rd string QB.

I was going to make a joke asking where our multiple threads were on how their 3rd string qb looked…but apparently they don’t even have one until Reed shows up this summer. As always…advantage Aggy

All that sturm und drang about horns down...on their boards...I mean really.

Also, I cannot laugh hard enough at how upset they got over the Kiffin quote. It's not even insulting - he literally just pointed out that they run a tempo offense and Jimbo doesn't. There's things you do to run tempo and they have to coach their transfer WRs to do those things. Pretty fucking innocuous, but they are so thin-skinned and paranoid that anything Kiffin says must not only be an insult, but a personal affront to every Aggie with an ounce of self respect. Just look at how they piled on the one bastard who had enough self awareness to comment that Kiffin was actually correct.

correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the first penalty having to do with the hook 'em sign against a TEXAS reciever that threw it up after a touchdown to the fans in the stands?

why wouldn't we ask why the other team can do the horns down in our player's face and not get a penalty after that?

Sure he can beat us. Let's see how he does against 25 teams that are better than us! Beating. Us. Is. No. Big. Deal, asshole!

Nothing much else to cut and paste from @texifornia' excellent work (Longhorn Frenzy, too). The overall impression is just that they're so strange and hateful. There are dissenting voices and plenty of normal people who don't post on Texags, but that site identifies the soul of that school.

I've never seen anyone let alone a group speak with such vehemence and genuine scorn about another college football fan group. They are genuinely psychotic when it comes to us. Trying to explain this to someone unfamiliar with them is just about impossible. When I explain to my beloved that the A&M - Texas thing is different because of these traits we all know, it just comes across as me deriding any other football rival.

They really believe that every single one of us is an arrogant dickhead who the entire world hates just as they do.

Another thing I notice how their language doesn't change or evolve. Hype is no longer common usage, but they wear it out. Book it! is another tired thing that most normal people don't use to punctuate an opinion anymore. And, of course, the lying and total disregard for reality.

I'm adding nothing new. I just have to stand back from making fun of them to see just how exceptionally hateful and crazy they are.

Not quite. We were playing at Tech and one of our  receivers (nickname Magic) scored and stopped in the end zone. He did the guns up sign and then holstered the pistol. He was penalized 15 yards.

Texas rightfully protested that he was doing nothing different than all the teams doing horns down. That is where whatever rule there is came from. I'm not sure what the rule reads, but I'm betting it's against doing something like that with anyone's hand sign.

Aggies have been told this many times, but they embrace falsehood as usual.

It's shocking how much they're going on about that subject. Stalkers and psychos.

Taunting is literally unsportsmanlike conduct, and that rule has existed forever.

Not sure how any thinking person could ever describe horns down by someone on the field as anything other than taunting. We never asked for special consideration, but it's always nice when the rules are enforced equally.
