it wasn't just someone

bjork was told during day 2 of the '21 conference meetings

bjork texted sharpe from in the meeting

sharpe called zwerneman to make sure he was in position and not on his 2nd martini

within 10 minutes the meeting paused for a break, bjork walked out and called a spontaneous presser to bitch and moan, zwerneman had a flash story out in less than 10 minutes

aggy made it a fait accompli that we would be "recruiting under the sec banner"

instead of just keeping their traps shut

Sharpe new about it. Bjork intentionally did not.  He was allowed to go code red and look like an idiot to make him the lightning rod on everything.

Sark had/has the rep of being a coach who can develop QBs and is one of the top OCs in the country. QBs and WRs want to play for him.

Shrek is a mid-level coach. Klein's offense beats up QBs and isn't known to be WR friendly. Recruits aren't overly excited about either coaches.

Shrelko?

I don't care how terrible Florida looked against Miami or how much trouble their coach is in, A&M is absolutely putrid on the road. The last true road game A&M won was against Missouri in 2021. I can't believe they are laying more than a FG on the road against anyone, much less in the Swamp against a desperate Florida team that doesn't lack for athletes.

Plus DJ is a super unknown, Florida could spank them or Napier could sit him all game, anybody that is betting on this game is an idiot.

None of those previous road games had the home team starving after Elko wiped the town out of food the day before the game.

Advantage aggy.

After Lagway, who’s from Willis, TX, beats their ass Saturday, watch the aggy “media” promote the rationale as to why they need to portal him back home. Back up the trucks BM aggy!

Of course they’re all banking on Napier being fired by season’s end? With the Gators schedule, post-aggy, it definitely gets tougher for the Gators.

Holy shit, they have no context when it comes to the McNeese State game. They really the Cowboys aren't the worst scholarship team in all of football and the results they like from that game are harbingers of future success against teams with equal or more talent, despite seeing what a borderline Top 30 team did to them at home.

Their OL is in the bottom quartile of the SEC

Their QB has no proven track record other than injury

Their best playmaker on offense is out for the season, leaving a very JAGish RB room.

Their WR/TE are in the bottom quartile of the SEC

Their DL (the best room) on the team is delivering average results. They don't have a Collin Simmons anywhere on their depth chart.

Their LBs are bottom quartile of the SEC.

Their secondary outisde of Anderson are bottom quartile of the SEC.

Somehow they think that leads to a 8-4 or better season.

242nd best team according to Bill Connolly. About equivalent to a bad Ivy League team. (Also lol at OU being completely unable to convert a third down against Temple, they are abysmal).

They'd already moved past Weigman a few days ago and were saying they need DJ to deliver them out of the wilderness. I'd say that outcome is doubtful. I wouldn't be shocked if DJ left UF, but I just can't see him heading to aggy.

I hope Napier’s just playing games with A&M, but he’s so stupid that this may actually be real. The only chance Napier has of saving his job is going with Lagway for the rest of the season.

After watching Napier use all 3 of his timeouts while being down 20 at Texas, it’s real and it’s spectacular.

Weigman over Ewers, Dart, and Iamaleava. No context stats are fun!

Good to see 3/5 of the vaunted aggy OL were rewarded for dominating McNeese. That's a challenge far greater than Graham and Grant posed in the Big House.

those are decent stats.  are you saying it's a bad running game?

Padded just a bit by McNeese.

Notre Dame was 38/146, 3.84 YPC.

McNeese was 38/333, 8.7 YPC.

UF is at least as bad as TAMU, but I would be shocked if TAMU’s dogcrap OL can get their RBs more than 3.5 YPC in the Swamp, particularly if it’s wet.

This is the rote recital of Texags and red-ass Aggies everywhere.

Billy Billy Billy! He's dreamy.

Wildly talented defense should dominate. Wrecking Crew! Wrecking Crew!

By golly, I know the guys are working hard every day with Aggie burning desire to win!

All they need is inspiration! It's all about emotion just like every other aspect of Aggie-ism. (Recall the Texags solution to the Calzada problem was to have a BBQ with Aggie dads to calm the young QB and teach him about leadership.) (Seriously)

Leaders! We're Aggies. We know about leaders. We have the Corps which means we're all going to a military school which means it's like we all got admitted to West Point. We know leadership. Rah! Howdy! Whoop!

image.png.821b9f1755720129ffa9ef8ff6c7c552.png

Usually accompanied by "his players" but he allegedly has the 7th most talented team in college football if not the history of college football. This take buys Elko loyalty for at least a season and a half from these Aggies.

Lunatic alert!

Idiot Alert! (I just had the worn-out bulb on this alert replaced. They go out about every other week)

Try the 1950s as a start, and don't even compare yourselves to either team historically.

This is perennially one of my favorites. Being condescending about MissSU.
TAMU is 6-6 vs MissSU since joining the SECX3, 8-9 against them all time. MissSU is a BETTER program than TAMU. If Aggies would just accept that they’re a mediocre cow college, they’d be much happier. They think they’re Bama. They’re not. They’re MissSU.

Aggy IS MSU, but not the one in Mississippi. They're the one in Michigan.

Those posters downplaying high school WRs are just so detached from reality. Through 2 games it looks like this WR class is going to be all-time good. Jeremiah Smith, Cam Coleman, Ryan Williams, and Ryan Wingo all look like they'll be awesome. All were 5 stars. I have no idea how the one guy is lumping Leach, Briles, Sark, and Kiffin together as simple offenses while saying Klein is advanced. One of the reasons Sark's offense is so well-regarded is because of all the pro-level concepts he brings in. That post is incredible.

I crack up when I see anyone defaulting to the notion that Klein is of course some sort of wizard. The guy had to be reset at least once by Kleinman. He's shown nothing at ATM. I've yet to see much that I envy in his design or use of weapons.

I love how close they are to getting it. It's entertaining.

"5 and 4 star with speed"

"They pay up a lot for that."

Yeah no shit dumb ass were shopping at Wholefoods and you're shopping at Fiesta.

They are close but never seem to get there.  A lot of them are realizing no good WRs want to play in their shitty offense but can't quite make themselves admit our offense is great for WRs.  It's only because we pay more apparently.

"Wah wah, wide receiver recruiting is so hard! We need to shell out $$$$ for more blue chips!"

Meanwhile, there's several Big 12 teams who set passing records using JAGs from nowhere. The problem at A&M isn't recruiting, it's development. They just don't understand that they are at the beginning of a long road that leads, at best, to them being a slightly better version of Oklahoma State or KSU. That should be their goal. But I doubt their AD / boosters have the patience to reach that outcome and, even if they do, they won't be happy with it for long.

1. They fail to realize that WR is probably the easiest position to identify and judge talent.

2. Then they go with Kleins concepts are too difficult for high school WRs compared to the simple spread offenses and such..

3. The coup de gras-Klein is keeping back the good plays because of some stupid scrambled egg omelet analogy...

Sold our souls to the devil to get banks? Weird I just remember doing a ton of fucking work raising funds, and then working with others to craft a message that was catchy and went viral. And it fucking worked.

And, we had to overcome the uphill battle of selling a shithole city, a school that has no winning college football tradition, and a coach who has never won anything or shown any aptitude. 😉
