They don’t realize that they lost because they’re not as good as South Carolina or Auburn. And we’re only winning because our schedule is so easy. 🙃

Yes! There is the weird assumption that we are coming into the game on equal footing regarding our seasons to date.

Our "stuggles" with teams where there were a few moments in a game where it seemed like the other team had a chance equal their three losses. In their eyes, neither of us are what our records say we are. They lost three on their easy schedule, we lost one. Our only loss and one of theirs were to top ten opponents. Ours was by two scores; theirs was by one.

We avoided upsets. They succumbed. Once, they got slaughtered.

Sure. Pretty equal.

They're ranked #25 likely because they play us this week and voters like to set up top 25 match-ups. Otherwise, they'd be among those receiving votes where they'd belong.

Anything can happen, but I don't see the rankings being wrong regarding our teams. They're not going to like what happens. I suspect Texas will be exhilarated in the dread night of an SEC contest.

Someone ket me know why they're delusional enough to think they're beating us, but lost to 5-6 Auburn and an average USCe team?

Whg are they confident? They have no offense, suspect defense, and a simpleton as a HC.

It's it the Pyle Field thing where they swear it'd the hardest place to play, even though no numbers to back that up?

Because that’s what they envisioned would happen when we joined their conference and they screeched until they got the first game at Pyle. It just HAS to turn out that way.

Whooo - big night game at the Pyle. They are barely above .500 at home since joining the SEC.

The “media” has exacerbated their home field advantage for decades, which I truly don’t know why? A mediocre team with 100K plus fans is still mediocre.

Hook’em!!!

What makes Kyle and the Aggies stand out is the regimentation. In addition to the precisely executed and rehearsed cheers from the '30s, they look uniform in crowd shots. They look angry, and their shouting seems directed at some wayward dog that shit in their collective yard. Wrap all that up in drab maroon, and you've got a very loud but seemingly joyless band of fanatics.

As I wrote somewhere else, where other enthusiastic college crowds look festive, diverse in expression, and like they're having that especially intense fanhood fun, the Aggies look like they're following orders.

The whole grim crew becomes jihadic when ebil, toxic tu comes to town to scatter their herds and eat their children.

And eat their children we shall. Not grimly, but with joy and festivity.

The epitome of Aggie delusion. Reality is exactly the opposite of the post. TAMU is a have-not program  always has been, always will be.  If they would just accept their place in the world, they’d be much happier.  They are exactly Miss State, Texas Tech, and Houston.  They are NOT Baylor (who has had multiple 10+ win seasons and conference championships this century).  They are about as far from blue blood status as you can get.

So Auburn and USCe are better than UGA.

Their posts never fail to bring up their resources, and then inevitably a couple posters show up to bitch about ticket prices and concessions like the cheap losers they all are deep down inside. They’re the guy crowing about his new truck and jet skis, nevermind theyre 4 months late on child support and they park the truck at their moms because they don’t want the repo man to find it. But it’s important that we think they’re well heeled while they bitch about the price of eggs.

It’s just so interesting how they operate. They got embarrassed in SC and then lost in 4OT to a really bad Auburn team. And yet, a few days after saying they hired the wrong guy, are totally believing they are going to 1. Destroy Texas 2. Lose to UGA 3. Make a deep run in the playoffs.

Truth is that they have 3 problems: 1. Their roster is right there above average across the board. They are not terrible, not close to elite. 2. Their coaching staff is just average. Elko, I think, is able to game plan and adjust but his staff is very average and I think their team knows it. 3. They live in a pressure cooker of idiocy. Since its the day before Thanksgiving I’m just sitting here on the back deck watching Pat McAfee (because sports) and on that show, Saban was just talking about high pressure rivalry games and how you cannot win or lose the game on the first play of the game. It takes focus and control to win the majority of 100+ plays and be mentally ready for each and every one of them. No way ags have that level or awareness, self control, focus, ability, etc. They are probably practicing their horns down dances right now… not thinking about how they win on the play.

That’s what I think. But I also have a screwdriver in my coffee mug so that my wife thinks I’m enjoying some afternoon tea.

#3 is the problem that gets them every time. Their tradition is bravado and braggadocio, whether it’s warranted or not. They make up stories to puff themselves up so much that they can’t come to grips with facts. See: the claim that they’re the richest program and in part with Texas. They aren’t and they never have been.

They can’t escape their own unrealistic expectations. They brag so much, but they never back it up.

A wise person would stop bragging. Alas, they are the Aggies, the Aggies are they.

1. They use this word so much. Underachieving. I'm not sure how their bar could be much different than 8-4. They are consistently achieving at the expected level which is mediocre with occasional flashes and occasional slumps.

2. It's a shame that writing winning cures all doesn't cure all because they write that all the time as though it's a fresh notion.

3. Put it on the wall. 2024: National Champions (Five wins from same.)

And, golldarnit, people like us.

Does any other school's fans talk about themselves like this?

Replace "dear leader" with "our fan base" and A&M is the North Korea of college football. As I think about it, they are about the same status-wise in the world of football as N. Korea is in the real world: noisy and mildly threatening to a few lesser powers, yet a mere annoyance to the major powers.

This is the essence of redass versus 2%er:

The influx of 2%ers is their only hope, but it's a dim one.

Not sure this Aggie has grasped the full concept of "last chance."

Love this guy. Bright, shiny days!

It’s always been a 1 game season for them. The Elko making progress and moving the program forward bullshit is just lies they tell themselves. It’s why they shook off a catastrophic loss to Auburn in literally 10 minutes. If you don’t believe me, go listen to the TexAgs postgame recap. “We can still beat Texas” platitudes in the opening paragraph.

I hope we win, I think we’ll win, if not I’m going to get it worse than many of you lucky bastards living outside of Houston. I’ve somehow become the Texas guy on a rodeo committee pushing 1,000 people.

The things they can convince themselves of is truly a sight to see.

Aggy WR's > [enter team name] >  UGA WR's

Georgia is susceptible to [enter anything someone else does better]  to their OL/DL

Jaquez is better than any RB on Georgia's roster.

This lie they keep feeding themselves is why they are a perpetual loser and bottom dweller. Trey Zuhn being an ex plane saying he's faced better LB than a top 10 player in next year's draft. Lol k.

They really are a special needs bunch.

Oh, and outside of football, apparently they've convinced themselves they're getting so much elite baseball talent. Lol k. Again.

Oh man, I hope they circulate this everywhere.

Aggie: "Let's all be chickenshits and get rid of ebil Texas."

SEC: "Speak for yourself, chickenshit."

I think this used to be a satire of negative ags. I guess the dumbasses forgot.

I actually think he's too pessimistic.  Our defense travels, but our offense can go through some of the most head scratching awful, prolonged stretches of play.  Our offense can keep any team in the game with turnovers and short fields.  I'd feel a lot better about things if Quinn didn't look so injured in the second half of the last game.  If we struggle in pass pro, this one could be a tight, ugly game.

Except Ohio Stadium really is a citadel that's almost never broken, which makes that win even more exceptional.

Other teams win at Kyle Field all the time.

Yeah but App State was not an SEC game at night.
