Japan Airlines Plane Collides with Delta Aircraft at Seattle-Tacoma Airport

February 6, 2025 by David Jones

A Japan Airlines aircraft collided with a stationary Delta Airlines plane on the runway of Seattle-Tacoma Airport on Wednesday morning. The incident, which occurred at 10:17 a.m., resulted in damage to both planes but no injuries were reported. The Japan Airlines plane was taxiing across the tarmac when its wing struck the tail of the parked Delta plane.

Images shared by passengers on social media depicted the wing of the Japan Airlines plane slicing halfway through the tail of the Delta aircraft. One passenger described the incident as “very scary,” adding that the impact was loud and startling. The plane was subsequently inspected for further damage.

Despite the collision, the airport reported that the incident had a “minimal impact” on its operations. The airport is currently working with both airlines to ensure the safe disembarkation of passengers and their transportation to the terminal.

This incident comes amidst a tense period for airports nationwide, following two recent fatal accidents. Just a week prior, a collision between a US Army helicopter and an American Airlines jet at Reagan National Airport resulted in the deaths of 67 people. Two days later, a medical evacuation jet in Philadelphia crashed onto a busy street and exploded, killing all six people on board and one person on the ground.

Adding to the unease, the Federal Aviation Administration’s Notice to Air Missions system (NOTAM), which provides crucial information about potential hazards to aircraft and airports, experienced an outage over the weekend. Although the system was restored on Sunday, the outage caused delays for hundreds of flights.

A Frontier Airlines passenger was restrained mid-flight after a violent outburst on a February 4th flight from Denver to Houston.

The incident, which took place aboard Flight 4856, began about 20 minutes into the flight when the passenger, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly started screaming in multiple languages and became increasingly agitated.

According to passenger Tanner Phillips, the man attempted to communicate with the woman seated in front of him, but when she didn’t respond, he began punching the seat in front of him and the airplane window.

“He was screaming in multiple languages, punching at the window, lying back, and trying to kick it out,” Phillips recalled during an interview with ABC World News Tonight.

The chaos continued as the man’s actions caused damage to the aircraft window, with cracks appearing in the glass, and blood reportedly splattered on the window from the passenger’s injuries.

Other passengers quickly reacted, restraining the combative individual and securing his arms in an effort to prevent further escalation.

Despite the terrifying incident, Frontier Airlines decided not to press charges against the passenger.

Rock Star’s Jet in Fatal Runway Accident at Local Airport

February 11, 2025 by David Jones

A fatal collision occurred at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday afternoon, involving a private jet owned by Vince Neil, the lead singer of Mötley Crüe. The incident occurred when a Learjet 35A, registered to Neil’s company Chromed in Hollywood, veered off the runway after landing and collided with a parked Gulfstream 200. The Learjet had flown in from Austin with four passengers on board, while the Gulfstream had one occupant.

The fatal accident resulted in at least one death. However, Neil was not present on the jet at the time of the collision. Among the passengers on the Learjet were Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Andreani, and her friend. Both women survived the crash and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Andreani reportedly suffered five broken ribs. The dogs accompanying the women on the flight also survived the accident.

Two pilots were also on board the Learjet at the time of the crash. One of the pilots tragically lost his life in the collision, as confirmed by Bret Michaels, Neil’s friend and the lead singer of the band Poison. The private jet charter company Jet Pros, which owns the Gulfstream, reported no injuries on their aircraft. One person at the scene declined medical attention, according to Scottsdale officials.

Eyewitness footage shared on social media showed the Learjet struggling to halt on the runway before skidding into the parked Gulfstream. The impact was so severe that it pushed the stationary aircraft several yards before both planes finally came to a rest. Images from the scene showed one of the jets without landing gear, surrounded by emergency vehicles and personnel.

Scottsdale officials stated that the left main landing gear on the Learjet appeared to fail upon touchdown, leading to the collision. This incident adds to a recent series of airport accidents and air incidents that have heightened anxiety among travelers nationwide. Just last month, a collision between a US Army helicopter and an American Airlines jet at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, resulted in 67 fatalities. Two days later, a jet crash in a busy Philadelphia street killed all six people on board and one person on the ground.

Vince Neil has a PJ?

On a quick search..."Vince Neil has an estimated net worth of $50 million. Beyond music, Neil has a diverse portfolio with investments in hospitality venues, tattoo parlors, poker tournaments, tequila, and gentleman's clubs."

Sounds about right

Frontier is going to start selling an upcharge so you don't have to sit next to an insane person.

I sat on a dude at the sky Marshal's request so he could cuff a guy who had grabbed a flight attendant.

Closest I've come was a stewardess asking me if I was able to open the main door in case of emergency because I was sitting 1A.

Let's do a roll call. Which frequent flier on Surly has not had a deep compulsive desire to punch the shit out of a bitch ass person on a flight that wouldn't shut the fuck up?

Now, how many Surly folks have been the person I wanted to punch out on a flight for not shutting the fuck up?

I'm going with a near 0 number on the first question and I'm guessing probably 3 on the second.

It’s (was) a 35 year old Learjet. He’s not exactly flying on a Global Express.

From a reddit thread, it was stated that the deceased woman was of above average girth, hence she couldn't be moved/dragged up the aisle.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/26/australia/qatar-airways-flight-dead-passenger-body-intl-hnk/index.html

An airline traveler has spoken of his shock after cabin crew sat him next to the body of a fellow passenger who had died during the flight.

The female passenger collapsed in the aisle beside Mitchell Ring and his partner Jennifer Colin during their Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne to Doha, they told CNN affiliate Nine Network. The Australian couple were on their way to Venice for a vacation.

Ring recalled watching the crew try to revive the woman.

“Unfortunately, the lady couldn’t be saved, which was pretty heartbreaking to watch,” he told Nine.

The crew then tried to wheel the body toward the business class section but were unable to maneuver it through the narrow aisle, Ring said.

“So they looked a bit frustrated and then they just looked at me and saw seats were available beside me… and they just said to me, can you move over please?” he said. “And I just said, ‘yes, no problem,’ and then they placed the lady in the chair that I was in.”

Ring then sat next to the body for the roughly four remaining hours of the flight, he said, despite there being other empty seats on the plane.

Another passenger offered Colin an empty seat across the aisle from Ring, where she sat for the rest of the flight.

“I was really shocked,” Colin told Nine, calling the experience “traumatic.”

“We totally understand that we can’t hold the airline responsible for the poor lady’s death, but there has to be a protocol then to look after the customers that are on board,” she said.

Flight to Vietnam years back - I'm tucked in and this sweet Asian woman and her very little girl take the seats next to me.  I'm thinking fuck my life.....that little girl was the sweetest little thing ever.  Never cried.  Just sang, colored, read books, slept well.  Had a few moments, but nothing wild.  Mom didn't speak much English, but I think she got how amazing her little girl was when I was complimenting them both.

Fast forward to a flight to Sweden - SIX screaming kids just in our section of the plane.  One kid was in serious pain and mom's took turns holding and rocking this poor little dude.

I fly quite a bit and I can honestly say I've never seen any type of blowup or altercation either on the plane or at the gate other than sometimes people bringing food that stinks up the place.  Fingers crossed.....

Had a guy lose his shit on me boarding a flight to PHX last week. Wife and I were seated in first class, but the bins up front were full by the time we boarded so we had to go back a few rows to stow our bags and then swim upstream doing the “excuse me, excuse me” routine while we shimmy past the folks heading to the back. We get to our row and there’s a guy blocking it so I do the “excuse me” thing and he loses his shit. Dude is super red in the face and has a vein popping in his neck. Starts screaming at me a calling me an idiot while my wife is standing behind me. I maneuver to block him so my wife can sneak behind me into her seat and he starts pushing me. I slide into my seat once my wife sits down. Meanwhile the whole first class cabin is looking on in disbelief. Flight attendant immediately goes to the cockpit to let the pilots know what’s happening and they hold boarding. Gate agent boards the plane and removes the guy.

Was a super odd experience. Who hasn’t flown and had to let someone by that is swimming upstream to get to their seat? And why is that the thing that would set you off so much that you get removed from the flight for being a psycho?

I was boarding a flight in phx and this entitled douche was banging his way through people boarding instead of waiting at the back until everyone got boarded as a polite person does. I bet that he brags on a message board about flying first class.  The uncoordinated doucher then stepped on my ingrown toenails while squeezing by to the first section.

I got kicked off the flight but I got a surprise for him when gets home.

I fly a lot so I have witnessed a lot of interesting events through the years.

Was on a flight late last year to Heathrow out of ATL. There was a guy that was making a scene at the gate with the gate agent prior to boarding the flight. I am not sure what it was about. Any way, they let him board. Upon arrival to LHR we all stand up to gather our belongings. We are then asked to sit back down. Security then boards the flight and takes the guy away that had been making a scene in ATL. I would think that he was not a physical risk but I am thinking that the airline was able to get some type of grievance against him and had the satisfaction of letting him think that he got away with something only to be disappointed at the other end.
