Gobert named DPOY

Crazy that a dude that gets played off the court against modern offenses wins DPOY. But the candidates blew this year: Kawhi missed the season, Draymond literally phoned in the entire regular season, KD played a great two months of defense to begin the year then never bothered again until the playoffs, and Paul George wasn't the best perimeter defender on his team. Roberson probably wins if he doesn't get hurt.

Unless I’m mistaken Lebron made an amazing defensive stop on the play before and then that nasty turnaround game winner. The combination of that wins easily play of the year. And this is coming from a biased rockets fan

I didn't realise that had occurred that often. I would have lost that bet.

Were any of the previous 3 fired, or did they just change teams?

Karl and Schayes were fired.

Riley likely would have been fired. That was the end of the Showtime Lakers and they were tired of his military style.

What did Mutumbo win an award for?

He's done a bunch of charity work for his home country, DRC. He was also a damned good player and a pretty charismatic one, at that.

Lmao. Chris Paul is much more valuable to the Rockets. The MVP let his team get blown out in 2 closeout games for a chance at the Finals.

It's a regular season award. Are you always this stupid?

One led his team to the best record in the league, the other led the highest payroll to the 4 seed in the East. so...

He played on the team with the best record, it was led by Chris Paul

It was rhetorical anyways.

Look, I don't  care who wins mvp, good for harden he's a great player. But Over the years ive kept up with the nba, it's easy to see that the voters have no idea ,much less consistency, to their criteria. They seem to like to spread  the award around. The fact that goo punch  brings up team stats for an individual award just makes the point that no one knows what the criteria is.  Whatever
