Not shocked to see ol' bohls himself ranked as the worst voter of the poll. Alright. Not worst. But the one who deviates the highest from the rest of the group. They track this by week and season long. He is rock bottom for both.

Also aggy voter having aggy 3 over Georgia is very on brand for aggy.

I'm mostly happy to see LSU out of the top 25.

They never should've been there to start with, but I assumed they'd get the standard sec benefit of the doubt and hover around 23-24 until they lost a conference game.

I guess everyone is seeing the writing on the wall for the ogre.

They'll probably be back in after beating up on McNeese State and Central Michigan.

Hang on let me have a couple more beers and I'll hit him up on twitter for that one.

Who the fuck is that that he has 9? Utah? This dude is senile and needs to be stripped of that vote. My God.

Probably not worth making sweeping generalizations since the math mostly reflects last season still, but it’s interesting how our S&P+ is in line with our human rankings for once

I like FPI much better - even if I'm ignoring UT's ranking. Anyone that thinks that USC is better than Cincy or that Utah is the 11th best team in the country deserves a decisive kick in the testicles.

Also - Michigan 7th? Good God.

Won't be popular with HORNS fans, but based on that win over lsu, ucla looks better than us right now.  I also think if ucla stays healthy, they will beat the condoms  this year.

I hope Iowa State beats Iowa this year, but based on last Saturday's performances I kinda doubt it...

Kansas State should not be ranked right now with Skylar Thompson out. They are probably going to lose to Oklahoma State, who has a pretty good defense again it would seem, without him. OSU has a Thompson-less K State and Baylorat home before Texas, they may well be 5-0 and ranked top 15-20 when they come to Austin after the RRS, despite looking pretty meh so far.

The poll 'system' is a fucking joke of epic proportions. Everything is set up by preseason ranking that are ridiculously fucked up and shouldn't even exist.

If we win against Tech and it’s relatively convincing, we’ll be in the bottom of Top 25 along with TCU if they beat SMU.

Possible, depending on perception of Arkansas vs aggy. If they win and acquit themselves as a good team then the loss starts to get penalized less. If they lose and look mediocre then Texas is going to have to win in Ft. Worth to get back in the polls.

Yeah I get it, but the only way we're not ranked when we play ousux is by losing one or both of the next two, and I certainly don't hope for that, so...

The thing about college football is that there aren't 25 good teams. I can't complain about a 3-0 team with lopsided wins over Stanford and Nevada being ranked 25th.

The CFB polls is kinda like US News college rankings.  It's only used for jostling over the top 5, top 10.  Beyond that nobody gives a shit about #32 vs #33.

Was wondering if we’d sneak in at 25 or so. Kinda happy we did not.

would be interested in some voter rationale for the delta between Texas and aggy. I know the answer and it’s laziness but would be fun to see them try to explain it otherwise.

I love how we have the same record and loss as aggy, and have better wins, yet we are #26 and they are #13.

For the sake of argument, I'm not sure I'd say it was really the same loss...

But hey, preseason rankings are dumb and we live with their reverberations.
