Would be interesting if you could compile the stats on selected tests.  Like all of ours, then see the scattershot.

And I agree some of the questions could have been worded better or split out better.  Like "improving humanity through genetic mods AND abortion"    Why not separate?    Not like 101 is that much worse than 100.

You are a traditional Conservative Democrat. Heart is in the right place. You like a slow ride.

As with most of these tests, the questions are not perfect and invite clarification.

Yep, so many lacked nuance that I had kind of a hard time answering.  Should probably have been more strongly agrees and disagrees from me based on the straight up question versus the caveats and nuances I came up with.

For example, on a lot of the "religious influence" question my answer was based on my belief that whatever religious training one has does affect one's political and other thoughts, rather than whether it should or not.  Hence theocratic.

I answered a lot of the nationalism questions based on the notion that it's ok to be proud to be an American, but don't be a dick about it, when the latter really wasn't part of the question.

Not quite sure where the autocratic and authoritarian stuff comes from.  I did kind of pull my answers a little on voting.

I'm a near total technocrat, yet I fully realize that technology of all kinds needs to be dealt with carefully.  So I probably nearly broke their brain on that.

I have so many mixed feelings about so many things now.

Slightly-conservative (slow pace forward) centrist. This group is firmly in the Democratic Big Tent (and running the show).

What’s it say about me if I still have no idea how to read the chart

It is four different charts with four center points.

It is confusing chart that may confuse those who work regularly with data charts.

It is more of a dashboard showing four different results.

I believe this says everything we need to know and already knew about you.

Food Choice test and class status - https://www.idrlabs.com/food-choice/test.php

My dislike of eating gold foil ruined my application for admission to the upper class.

that chili has a fuck ton of beans in it.  and the fact that it's called "chili con carne" on the description told me it was british.

i don't know whether i should say fuck no that's a shit ton of beans and being british it's probably shit or i should just assume it's a version i would make of chili and therefore amazeballs and i'd eat the fuck out of it

so answering that i'd eat pretty much everything in there gave me max scores on everything but lower class - had to hold up a bit at chicky nuggies because the only mcnugget i've eaten in over 35 years was nasty shit.  give me chick-fil-a nuggs and i'll eat a party tray.

The photos are awful. Perhaps intentional or poorly designed. On the chicken nugget question, I thought of chick-fil-a nuggets rather than a mcnugget - and that does satiate an occasional itch - so that's a +1 for me. I loathe mac and cheese (-1), but lobster mac and cheese (French Laundry-style) is heavenly (+2). The chili question made me think of what our chili champions here would concoct - so that was a +2 for me.

I think my natural bias after three kids is to downgrade what I think of as kid food (which has nothing to do with how others view those same foods). But then I kept remembering how good "kid friendly food" can be.

When I saw the hot dog photo, I thought of this (+2 on my scale).

(Chicago-style hot dog)

The pork photo was particularly unrepresentative of the succulent nature of the luscious fat goodness rendered from piggies. (+2)

(Pork Tenderloin with Sauce Poivrade)

The gold leaf eating cuisine is gonna get rich folk eaten by the when push comes to shove. Additionally, eating gold leaf is aesthetically tacky and gauche.

spacer.png

tacky, tacky, tacky.

Seriously though, if the research is accurate, I wonder what role food islands play in creating the divergence in food choice across classes of American society?

Lowest I could go was neutral. I’d eat all that, but admit I did a little mental post processing on the picks cause some were horrible. And “pulled pork burger”? I wanted to down grade that one out of principle. You have to put some of the Vic Mackey food thread pics up for me to go into the red consistently.

I am the anti-Anastasis for food.  I was only above the second concentric ring for Middle Class (73%).  Everything they showed me looked like some dogshit food.  I guess I'm a middle class snob!

I imagined my ideal of each food and ignored the photos.  Some things threw me for a loop. I think foie gras is one of the best things in the world to eat but would not order it on a burger given the option. Foie gras is awesome and burgers are awesome but they don't need each other.

The photos were horrible and I just replaced the pictures in my mind with what it would look like if I made it or ordered the dish from a known entity.

Gold food is Salt Bae shit. There should be a separate category for "lots of money but no class."

Exactly how you should have done it. No way would meat and bean stew represent chili.
