well first off, nobody here said that. second, shane gillis has fooled countless people into thinking that he’s a right wing, bro rogansphere, trump supporter all while making fun of those exact people on a daily basis. his sister is married to an arab man; he has black, arab nieces and nephews; he’s volunteered multiple times with the special olympics; his podcast cohost and best friend is a liberal nerd with a black wife and mixed race kids; and perhaps most glaringly obvious, he kept on drinking bud light during every public appearance after the right had canceled bud light, to the point where he became a bud light spokesman.

the funniest thing in this thread is people like you thinking that he’s a right wing comedian and then scoffing at the idea that his work has any nuance, when in fact his entire routine and persona has gone over your head. he shares the exact same values as you, makes fun of the same people as you, and you’re over here mad at him because you don’t even get it.

Oh, look at Mr. I Never Start a Confrontation is desperate for some attention. No one asked you, cunt. Since you've apparently got your incel brain in a twist, post #2015 you pathetic fuck is a couple of paragraphs about the nuance of his humor.

I also never said a word about his politics, just his third grade level approach to a topic. Not surprised you're a fan of a lazy fat fuck that tells obvious jokes for simple people. That you actually think his humor goes over anyone's head is only showing your own room temp IQ. Once more you've proven you're a sad little boy that can't handle anything that disrupts your carefully constructed bubble of (in)security. What are you now, about 40 years old and still can't tell the difference between fact and opinion and still can't handle when someone disagrees with your kindergarten thoughts.

Get fucked and keep my posts out of you self-obsessed world.

I think Gaga has lost her edge. Both performances were more goofy than avant-garde. She has very devoted fans, so I think she’ll stick around as a pop star, but she hasn’t had a solo number 1 hit since 2011.

She’s a terrific pianist, singer, and actor. I hope she can find the right lane.

Wickline is worse at skit comedy than a good percentage of the hosts. Like non-comedians. Charles Barkley is better at it. Truly baffling.

While I wholeheartedly agree, it must be a generational thing because she has a fanbase.  But she does seem like she won the "audience member gets to be part of the cast" contest every time she shows up.

She's 38 why would she still be edgy? Her album is pretty good actually. She's getting married. She's not the hot young pop start anymore and that's okay. It's hard to continue to find inspiration and make music as you age and she's still doing it wonderfully.

I can't tell you where avant garde stops and weird starts but I thought her performances landed with me the same as her others in the past.  Maybe times have changed and that accounts for it, but I don't know.

she was big on tiktok IIRC, but goddamn, her humor doesn't last longer than 30 seconds I guess. Every time she shows up it's just to sing shittily with a crappy keyboard

WU is best now when they use Jost as a punching bag and Lord Gaga nailed it this week.

Wickline may have a fanbase, but she has to pivot more to the mainstream to stick.

Sarah Sherman has done this masterfully.  She had a very narrow niche with her comedy prior to SNL, but she has adjusted to more conventional comedy while still working in her weird shit from time to time.  And now she's my favorite cast member.

Yep. Sherman is the right mix of weird, funny and chutzpah.

Pip was really good. The performances were great.

I was shocked by how funny that was...the bad CGI actually made it even funnier.

And the whole it's "2 ounces too heavy" bit and "It was just too heavy right Pip?" as he walked away with his sunglasses got a real laugh.

Also that song in that banged more than both her performances.  Felt more like the Ariana Grande one she did "My best friends house" skit.

Lord Gaga and Kendrick Perkins were both great.

I wouldn't mind more Lord Gaga.  Jost's deadpan turn and stare off to the camera as he said "just imagine your wife making more than you" destroyed.

Sherman is the underrated MVP for me.  Mikey Day would be next.

Jack Black has a new movie coming out that should do well. Fine and unavoidable. Lizzo is the lone head scratcher. She was washed before the controversies, but she also has a new project. Lorne is doing a favor for one of his supper club buddies. He likes a comeback story, but I’m not sure she deserves this opportunity.
