Shooting a 68 with a triple bogey is amazing.  Scottie still in this tournament at -9 after two rounds...

Spieth     -12

Hossler finished -11

This course is garbage and the winner is gonna be -25 or better. Sets up well for a no name or first time winner because a lot of guys can compete with conditions this easy.

Mackenzie Hughes with a 40 on the back nine to miss the cut by 2 strokes...

My kinda back 9   😋

Look at Ross Mullinax Thursday, his 68 was 29/39. I mean I've shot 10 strokes worse but not shooting under part.

Meanwhile across the pond:

Lev Grinberg, a 14-year-old Ukrainian amateur golfer, became the second-youngest player to make the cut at a European Tour event after shooting a brilliant 69 at the Soudal Open.

The teenager carded 70 in his opening round on Thursday on his first appearance at a European Tour event and followed that up with another superb display on Friday to make the cut tied for 29th position in Belgium on three under par.

I can't remember anybody throwing away their future in a way quite so spectacularly stupidly as Phil Mickelson.  All because of greed. Having a lot of money wasn't enough for him. He wanted to have ungodly amounts of money.  So fucking shortsighted.

But does Phil have a lot of money now?  He's lost big money in the past and still likes to gamble...

I would expect scoring to be not as low this year. Last year they had a lot of rain, and the course played soft. It'll be much more firm and windy this time around, and that course is a beast.

Have you considered joining in the Stonk thread. We are looking for people with insight and great powers of perception.

Id bet he’s somewhat broke / hard up for cash. He could have handled his pga exit, much better. Hot rumor is he owed bones a bit of pay, that’s why they broke up
