Pretty clear running into the kicker call just plain ignored/missed on that last kick. I mean Miami didn't really deserve to win but that should have been called, imo.

No targeting against the Miami DB?…

…then no running into the kicker bullshit against UVA.

F (the) U !!

I understand, and wish that officiating could be even and transparent.

But man, fuck Miami, let UVA have this.

Miami - Florida State just turned into UConn - Vandy with caviar on top.

And Miami is quietly shuffling into Nebraska/Tennessee "lol wait that team used be relevant? Naaaah." territory.

The difference is Corn and Vols are like that for a reason. Corn was doomed due to prop 48. Vols have no local recruiting bed. Miami is in Florida, which is loaded with good football players. No excuse for them to be where they are. Four coaches in the last 12 years Shannon, Golden, Richt, and Diaz.

They are a small private school who’s stadium is 30 minute drive away from campus and their facilities are shit. Yes, they are parked in a recruiting hotbed, but Bama and Clemson have been poaching all the best players from down there for a while. Hell even Florida outrecruits Miami in SoFla quite a bit.

Their boosters are down to pay and party with kids but they won’t front for facilities and shit that will yield long term success. Manny sucks, but their admin does not give a fuck about football and until that changes, Miami will continue to suck.

Miami as a university is most analogous to TCU or SMU if those schools had no distant football tradition but just locked down Metroplex talent and played in Cowboys Stadium back in the 80’s.

Tennessee is the way it is because a series of bad coaching hires since they fired Fulmer. Like Texas during late Mack and Charlie years, the QB play hasn’t been there much either. Metro Atlanta has a ton of players and Tennessee can make a living dipping  into that pool, along with the growth of Nashville providing more talent than has historically been there. Problem is, none of the kids there can remember the last time Tennessee was nationally relevant. The recruiting base is there if they can ever get their shit together on the field, which becomes harder to do the farther they get away from their glory years.

Nebraska is just fucked. I don’t see them ever being a true power again.

Kind of makes up for some leading with the helmet no calls Miami benefitted from.
