Had lunch at B-Daddy’s in Helotes today, the brisket, potato salad, and slaw were all really good.

I love their Mac n cheese. The brisket Mac n cheese sandwich slams and goes hard. I’m not a fan of their just meat dishes though but the sandwiches and tacos they offer are fantastic.

I realize it's not Texas and I realize it's not BBQ, but I didn't think there would be enough interest/content in Turkish street food to start a thread and wanted to post this video. I would demolish this.

Would smash.

I'd would have went out towards 16 / 151 / alamo ranch / med center. 16 to alamo ranch is damn exploding. Has to a younger demographic too

that's not the Terry Black's business plan at based on their current locations...plus evidently they are building a hotel, another restaurant and that Terry Blacks at the Broadway location?

  • Austin: South of the River slightly
  • Dallas: Deep Ellum
  • Waco: Downtown
  • Lockhart: this is an outlier but it's also probably a spite store

totally agree with you on the area though. huge opportunity for someone to open a cool spot there and make a killing. that whole WWestover Hills / Potranco Road / ALamo Ranch area is exploding

Let my property value explode as well!

Potranco/211 is insane growth right now....Medina Valley building a second HS as well due to expected growth.

Went to Briscuits this morning for the first time.   Until this morning it was the only Austin place listed by Texas Monthly that I had not tried.  Had the biscuit with brisket and smoked strawberry jam and it was great.   Brisket was moist and would have been great standalone.  I also got the blueberry sausage, but haven't tried it yet.

Finally got out to Meanwhile Brewing yesterday so I had to try Distant Relatives—  can confirm it was very very good.    Brisket was moist and tender and had great flavor, the chicken was really good, and the blackeyed peas with burnt ends were a tasty side..

If you can't smoke a yardbird to be tasty, then I can't trust you to smoke anything else.

This is my favorite Tarrant County barbecue joint, but also the double meat smashburger (ground brisket) is top shelf too and at $9.95 is the best burger option in town, imho.

I've gotten to where I'm starting to get my burger fix at barbecue joints.  Had Stiles Switch last week and LeRoy & Lewis not that long ago.

Shoot, I've had better burgers at TexMex places than I've had at some of the local legends.  I really don't know why people find it so hard to make a cheeseburger.

What's the line like at Reese Brothers' like during the weekend?

My two experiences: consistent 20-30 person line if you aren’t there right at 11am. Goes pretty quick though because you order at the front and they bring the food out to you after 5-10 min. You grab drinks at a different
Counter in the back.

Heading out to Spring for something and wanted to stop by Corkscrew.

I won't get out there until 12:45/1:00pm...are they going to be out of a bunch of shit by that time?
