Only one QB from this list hasn't transferred now. Arch is the man.

What a bunch of nothings and Arch Manning. The funniest shit is that ESPN and On3, if memory serves, each went out of their way to rate guys higher than Manning in order be contrarian geniuses.

Moral of the story - if you got a badass QB with the last name Manning, you simply go ahead and just rank the guy at the top.

Arch to Tennessee confirmed

You know, gotta say, Arch is the ONE guy with pedigree and hype that you'd expect to do something like this.  Just reminds me how lucky Texas is to have him.

Their fanbase is dumber than we thought.  Their defense, esp. DL, was fantastic.

Here's the Opponent Adjusted OFEI and DFEI for teams that made the playoffs last year.  Nico was not the reason Tenn was there.

Well Jeez...now it's clear why OSU won the whole thing and Texas/Penn St/ND were the other Final 4 teams.

I'd start making these contracts incintive based, not hyped based. How is this guy a Heisman candidate?  He and his dad just made just fucked up. He could end up shining at another school, get drafted good career,  but there's a better chance this "lol" moment follows him around and becomes a problem.

You're making a lot of money, chill the fuck out, get better and get to the league.

Sooo according to the couple of minutes I spent on a vols message board. 90% of the people are saying they will be better without him…really? He was the main reason they made the playoffs. 5% say that he was tampered with by another sec school. And the last 5% are clearly upset that he’s leaving but don’t want to go against the grain. I understand the importance of showing the team that no one is bigger than the team but damn that’s quite the player to show the team with.

Our defense and RB is why we made the playoffs. Several were writing him off and I was one of the few saying he could be good and just needs time.

A&M is exactly the kind of stupid to land Nico.

I’d love it. It would blow up their QB room. Again.

So, they’ll probably figure out a way to do it. Squeeze, Ags!

Sometimes you think you’re special.  Then You find out you’re not

Maybe he realizes he isn't special, and figures he better cash in before everyone else figures it out.

I can't imagine anyone would pay over 2 million to deal with this.  I think he really f'd up.

TN isn't an innocent in this mess either.  Iirc, he was in the process of taking his visits when he committed out of nowhere.  Turns out he was money whipped for 8 mil, hence the sudden commit.

Maybe when Trev is inevitably fired they can bring in Nico Harrison, too

(Grant Ramey) Josh Heupel addresses Nico Iamaleava situation: 'No one is ever bigger than the program'

Quote

Josh Heupel addressed the Nico Iamaleava situation publicly for the first time Saturday afternoon during a pregame interview with The Vol Network before the Orange & White Game at Neyland Stadium. Tennessee parted ways with Iamaleava after a messy breakup over the last two days. Iamaleava was in contract negations for a new NIL deal on Thursday, then no-showed at practice Friday morning and did not communicate with Tennessee coaches through the day on Friday.

It was reported Saturday morning that Heupel and the Vols were “moving on” from the redshirt sophomore quarterback. “Man, listen, it’s the state of college football,” Heupel told Brent Hubbs on The Vol Network radio broadcast. “At the end of the day, no one is ever bigger than the program. That includes me, too. We’ve got an opportunity. We’ve got a bunch of guys that will give their all for Tennessee. We move forward. Got a great group. Let’s go compete.”

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported Saturday morning that Tennessee was parting ways with Iamaleava, a decision Heupel shared with his players Saturday morning. On3’s Pete Nakos on Saturday morning reported that Iamaleava plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal when the spring portal window opens on Wednesday.

Nakos first reported Thursday that Iamaleava was in contract negotiations for a new NIL deal. It was reported by Volquest’s Austin Price Friday that the redshirt sophomore did not practice with his teammates Friday morning. “Iamaleava missed meetings and practice on Friday,” Thamel reported, “which was the driver of this decision.” It was a widely reported later that the absence took Tennessee coaches and players by surprise. Iamaleava was not in contact with Tennessee on Friday.

Iamaleava last season threw for 2,616 yards, with 19 touchdowns and five interceptions in 13 games, completing 63.8% of his passes. He had a career-high 314 yards passing in the season-opening win over Chattanooga and a season-high four passing touchdowns in the win over Vanderbilt on November 30.

Nice time to point out the SEC doesn't allow transfers to other schools within the SEC during the spring window, including grad transfers. So both the player and the program are screwed if they were hoping to poach from another SEC school. The player could try to sue to change that but you're already toxic at that point.

If another sec team wanted him, he would win the lawsuit

Nah this is bad. Helicopter dad shopping his kid since December. Demanding double the cost for his kid that below average. Tennessee got wind of the shopping because Lanning called Heupel, allegedly. He skips out on practice and his dad is on social media calling reporters bitches.

Dan Hurley’s approach may be appropriate for such a time as this. When sizing a kid up, he says he sizing the parents up as well, since they’re a package deal.

I think we would pay that much NOT to deal with him and his helipopter.

would that count towards roster and scholarship #s?   It’s serious question dick heads!
