So 76ers really need to go 1-2 down the stretch. That would put them in a group opposite (probably) Boston, Nets and Bucks.  If they avoided those three they might have a chance to make the ECF.  I don’t think Harden isn’t trying I think he’s just done. They should encourage him to go sign somewhere else this summer.

This really cant be stated enough. My dislike for Lebron greatly exceeds my dislike for the Lakers, but stick them on the same team and fuck that entire mess. What is it, 20 teams make the playoffs these days? Lulz.

That's not true at all.  All of his advanced metrics and per minute stats were on par with his best season in Toronto.  He simply was trapped on a terrible team.  Now Westbrook?  His numbers and qualitatives all point to a massive decline.  DeMar was a far better player the last two seasons headed into FA last summer.

"Steep decline" was a poor choice of words, but no teams with legitimate championship aspirations were chomping at the bit for the privilege of paying DeRozan--who had already marginalized himself as a 2 point specialist--$26M after his forgettable stint in San Antonio.

"Better than Westbrook" is obvious, but an extremely low bar. I'm guessing that the Lakers were the only team with a winning record to discuss trading for him. Unforgivable.

Aaaaaand Brooklyn is back in the 8 spot.

And if they win out (as they should) and if the Hawks win out (as they should), I think Nets-Hawks would be 7-8.

Clevelands season has just gone totally off the rails and last nights loss at Orlando is the chefs kiss.

But at least we’ll keep the first round pick that was foolishly sent to Indy for Levert.

He'll do that. I can't imagine Vegas trying to set odds on this Nets team.

I think the Nets are going to be very dangerous in the playoffs. It looks like they are going to avoid the play in and possibly even jump the floundering Cavs for the 7th spot. With a healthy KD and the way Kyrie is playing, think the Nets will be playing in the 2nd round

Yeah, the only question for the Nets is what seed they are for the play-in. If they win out they're 7th no matter what. If they beat only the Cavs they could end up 7 or 8 depending on what the Hawks do. If they lose to the Cavs they could be 8-10 depending on what the Hawks and Hornets do.

Kinda hard to win games without Allen and Mobley. They were doing really well until the injury bug got them. It's a young core, they have a lot of room to grow next year, I'm still very optimistic about their potential.

Sets them up well for Lebron's return to gut them once again...

Imagine if LeBron hadn't busted out a couple of 50 point games.

Also noticed that Magic and Kareem seemed to taking shots at the King. I guess they are no longer witnesses.

Magic has definitely thrown Lebron under the bus with his latest comments regarding Westbrook the mismanagement of the roster because Lebron's influence, and Lebron has to be fuming about MJ publicly placing the blame on him. There's no way this will end well. I've got my popcorn ready

Hopefully Cleveland is smart enough to say thanks but no thanks for a third ride on the Lebron train. Lebron can ride off into the sunset with OKC, NO, Sacramento, Orlando, or whoever agrees to draft lil Bronny.

Especially given the fact that Lebron will demand the next team he plays on to draft his son Bronny. Can you imagine the drama that will create? What if Bronny sucks(which is likely) in the NBA, yet Lebron wants more minutes for him at the expense of other more deserving players? Cleveland has a very nice little thing going and if I were them I wouldn't want any part of the Lebron train 3.0

If Cleveland thinks they have any chance to win, they absolutely take Lebron back. They have been trash since he left. At the very bottom. This happened both times he left. And fell off the rails this season as well. I am not sure how much of a good thing they really have going. And Lebron makes them relevant again in terms of PR and fanbase in the seats. Cleveland has not even sniffed the playoffs in Lebron's absence. You can go back before Lebron was drafted and this holds true. They are nobodies without him. An aging Lebron might be different than when he went back in 2014. They would absolutely sell their souls for the chance at relevancy.

LEBRON'S LAKERS NOT EVEN MAKING THE PLAY-IN GAME...  😂😂😂

This current Laker team quit -- Yeah, LeBron's legacy has been hurt no doubt.

I’m excited to watch the playoffs this year. Admittedly while I admire his phenomenal playing ability I don’t like Lebron. Don’t care to see him have as many rings as Jordan. I mean Lebron handpicks/assembles these teams and yes it’s for a chance to win it all and they all have. But when the wheels fall off: he quits in games. He throws multiple teammates under the bus (or at the very least does nothing to correct the criticisms coming at players from the Heat, Cabs and now Lakers) and he will move on to another spot, likely the Cavs and do the same thing. Coaches get fired etc…players get thrown under multiple buses and he just moves on to another shot at a ring. I loved that Luther video on the other page. It’s hilarious and should be made for JFF and Baker lmao.

I actually am excited to watch a playoffs without it being about Lebron and I can’t stand the fucking lakers anyway.

I read up on the KAJ stuff. Basically one soundbyte was taken and run with, as we often do during the Twitter era. What he said about LeBron was entirely fair and he apologized twice and clarified the context of his entire statement and he's right. I mean I guess. I'm not a part of the black community though sometimes I wish I were because white people are by and large terrible.

Charlotte is fading hard. Go ahead and pencil them in at 10. I think Borrego's seat is getting hot. Saw a weird tweet from Trez and then looked back at the box score and realized he played zero minutes last night against the Heat even though I watched the game. I mean Mason Plumlee is their starting 5, you would think he might be a decent matchup against Bam. It's not like they were playing against Joel or Joker. I like Charlotte a lot (fun to watch, Eric Collins, etc) but they are going to lose the play in by 60 again if they play the Nets.

I'll be honest...these playoffs look like they'll be super interesting...even with a probable overwhelming favorite in PHX...and a most likely collision course for PHX/Mil part 2....I really could see a number of other teams making deep runs and challenging them.

Lebron giveth and taketh away. They got their ring in the bubble season. It's been a disaster ever since. AD's constant injuries both seasons and then Lebron this offseason going full regard and putting a team together of all his old buddies that never meshed at all and had zero chance of working. They got rid of all their assets for these guys. Even with AD healthy, not sure how good they would have been. This is why teams have dedicated GMs to make roster moves and decisions. Based on many factors. Players are always going to have a conflict of interest. Not to say players of his stature do not have input in moves being made but Lebron pretty much has full control of all personnel decisions, from players to coaches.

The Lebron era in LA is tricky to judge. They did win a ring. Yes, in the bubble but every team was playing by the same parameters. But the next 2 seasons were failures. Season before the ring was a failure. As a Mavs fan, I'd love to even get out of the 1st round (haven't did that in 11 years) so I would love to have a recent ring. But I am sure they were expecting more from the Lebron era, especially after being paired with AD.

The best thing to happen to that Lakers team was getting all that time off, so Davis couldn't hurt himself.

Or the King could go to Golden State???

unless he goes to the Mavericks I don’t care but he won’t go there…

LeBron is such a little bitch sometimes. Steph and LeBron were pretty tight when Steph first came into the league. Then, when Steph starting winning MVPs and titles, he felt threatened and took every opportunity that he could to slight Steph. Now that he firmly reestablished himself as the most popular player of his era, they can be friends again. Transparent.

What's the deal with his kid Bronny? Is he good? Destined for the NBA good?

The real deal is that he is projected in the mid 40's in terms of draft pick order, and without Lebron's surname he would likely be undrafted. I've read a little on him, and the consensus is that he is a decent shooter and defender but lacks quickness and explosiveness for his position. So basically if he could add 4 or 5 inches, he's a solid NBA prospect, but at his size he's not. One expert I read described him as a 6'2" guard with feet and quickness of a 6'10" big man.

I'm not trying to make the point that Cleveland would NOT take him. Who knows? And I'm also not arguing that Cleveland wasn't hot garbage before they drafted Lebron. Everybody knows that.

But you are greatly underestimating what the Cavs have going currently with their roster. Yes they are at the bottom of the playoff picture in the East, but they have been hit with more injuries to key players than probably any other team in the league. They have an excellent core of young talent and look like a legit up and coming team in the near future, and I'm not Cavs fan... actually I could give a fuck about Cleveland or Ohio period, but why would they be willing to gut their team to take on Lebron/Bronny for some short term gain? I think they have likely learned their lesson.

I think baseball takes the prize for father/son duos. Griffey, Bonds, Alou, Alomar, Fielder, Biggio, Bell.

I think Dell Curry's kids have shown some potential to contribute to NBA teams but yeah, does seem baseball takes the cake. Even more so adding in three of the best young players in the game with Bichette, Tatis Jr., and Guerrero Jr.

What really blows my mind is how there aren't like 8 Kemp Jr's in the NBA. Just playing the odds seems like that should be a starting 5 at least.
