The poor jury is waiting and the judge is filibustering. He certainly has a lot of opinions on meta issues.

he needs to have more opinions on how the law works in his courtroom, and fewer about how the case is being covered.

Has he mentioned surly horns and Johnny sack yet?

Surprised Sydney Pollock wasn't in front of the camera more often.  He really was a great actor.

And The Firm is very underrated.

Really? I thought The Firm was pretty highly rated. That’s a great movie with a great cast. Wasn’t it a big hit?

Yeah something about Cruise in that movie was just off and I normally think he’s great.

You may be right.  But that was one of Grisham's earlier works, and I thought the book was better and read criticism from others along those lines.  So maybe I'm confusing that with the otherwise critical acclaim.

And yes, the cast was excellent.

Over acted

Not sure about overacted.  But for the lead, and given his bankable star status at the time (as a reference point, A Few Good Men had come out the year before), I don't think he was head and shoulders above* the other actors (Gene Hackman, Ed Harris, Holly Hunter, Hal Holbrook, Wilford Brimley, David Strathairn, Gary Busy, Tobin Bell, Steven Hill, etc.)

*do you see what I did there?

You are a racist sack. You just don’t have the self awareness to realize that so you don’t see it in everyone you hang with.

I do.

He means people more racist than him.  If you're equal or less racist than him, you're welcome.

This morning the jury requested to view videos admitted into evidence. They appear to be resolving unknowns or points of disagreement - or they just want to see it again to validate beliefs/disbeliefs.

It slows the process down, generally. It's common.

But it may be also the jury agreeing with each other, but there is one loose end they want to cleanup, which, in that case, they could decide minutes after re-watching the footage.

Ah shit. Not this again?

Ok sack isn’t racist. End of further discussion and let’s all move on.

I'm saying I agree with you that he is racist.  Just that he doesn't see it that way, he only notices it when someone is more racist than he is.

By loose end, do you mean Juror Cobb?

Plus sack is too busy spreading potential conspiracy theories in the other thread. It’s kind of hard to follow but best I can tell he wants the prosecution to formally respond to internet rumors spread by right wing websites. The prosecution better hire the entire litigation department at Fulbright to get that accomplished.

Was Sack in there spreading the Posobiec rumor that a US Marshal had allegedly told him that two jurors were holding up an acquittal over fear of antifa backlash?

Probably.

What I saw him now was focusing on a report that some black dude claimed to be the jump kick man Kyle shot at and missed which the prosecution then told the defense about last week. Don’t get the outrage about that yet but I’m sure the DT crowd will fill in all the necessary gaps to show how Castro killed Kennedy.

I think the "conspiracy" is that the prosecution hid JKM from the court, including the defense.

Yeah I know. It’s dumb though. Just because some criminal claims to be someone in a video where you can’t see the guys face doesn’t make it true.

And they told them about it and as best as I can tell the defense hasn’t even complained about, just the right wing lunatics on the net. It’s just more of their internet stupidity at this point.

I thought Ted Cruz's dad did that.
