He's trying to make a cute jab at Biden after the Satchel Paige gaffe.  It's stupid but this is the guy who called a member of Congress a brother fucker the other day, so no surprise there

Ah, should have figured it was some Fox News bullshit. Sack is basically a Fox News abbreviated summary for those who choose not to read or watch the whole thing.

It's not unnoticed you still can't answer the question.

If he doesn’t like the question he ignores it. Part of the troll playbook.

Guys lay off sack for his laser focus on pedos - we know that conservatives tend to focus in on things that remind them of themselves. We see it all the time with gay bashing elected repubs paying gay escorts to give em the NowThis. Or church clergy and pastors cheating on their wives with secretaries while spouting hellfire and brimstone

Y'all keep poking fun at him, he just gin up a reason to self defense you

Pretty soon y'all will be going "what pedo?"

"Our" pedos are nobodies till they get shot. You elect them. And then fly flags year-round in support of them.

It's fucking hilarious how church-y conservatives occasionally wanna run the "we're against pedophilia" windsock up the flagpole every now and then to gauge when is the right time to go full on histrionic fascist.

Hell Donald trump is a pedo. And if Johnny sack got out his AR and went over and shot him I’d consider acquitting the sack if I was on the jury so maybe he’s right after all.

Are you trying to say he should have waited to shoot him until after the convicted serial rapist gained control of the rifle.

You voted for a serial rapist and a pedo for president in 2020. When are you gonna deal with trump and how are you gonna get past the secret service?

Well lets just award him a medal then. I spent many a night on sixth street, witnessed many fights and otherwise out of control situations, and I too managed not to shoot anyone. Where’s my fucking medal?

It's an observation about the situation, and gives a bit of assurance that he wasn't actually the bloodthirsty serial killer some of you seem to think he was. If he was really out to kill as many of the protesters as he wanted, I think he would have been a lot more liberal with his bullets. It's still a trainwreck of a situation, but it doesn't hurt to acknowledge how it could have been worse.

I would guess that if Kyle never encountered Rosenbaum that night, nobody would have died, and nobody would know who Kyle is. I believe he likely instigated the initial encounter and definitely escalated it to the point Kyle was legitimately scared for his life, and therefore he did have the right to use his gun in self defense.

Kyle could have been more wreckless during the ensuing chase by the other guys and done a lot more damage, but he didn't. He could have shot the one guy with a gun in the head instead of the arm or hit him multiple times. It shows at least some control and restraint, and I think that's rather noteworthy in the context of the case.

it’s so convoluted and longwinded that even rittenhouse is yawning.

yeah i have to think crim law 101 is to tell your defendant to not yawn during jury instructions. but he's a white dude so maybe i hit that wrong.

I'm a white dude. full disclosure

I haven't been following . . . is Sack's angle that Rosenbaum deserved to be shot because he's an alleged pedophile?  Wouldn't Rittenhouse be expected to know this before any shred of justification could be offered for the shooting?  Never mind the fact that Rittenhouse isn't law enforcement, and never mind that spur-of-the-moment public executions are not part of the legal code, even for cops (ahem, George Floyd), I'm just trying to wrap my brain around Johnny's typically warped thinking.  I think I have a good read on it, but please, disabuse me of my incorrect notions, should I have any.

also these instructions are fucking bonkers. you want a lay jury you gotta explain things outside of law books. i assume this is normal but this judge seems to me to be breezily baffling the jury with bullshit

they're agreed on before hand, or at least competing instructions are offered, but both would sound just as technical and batty.

I am glad he's dead because he's a serial child rapist.  But it is not the basis for self defense.  The basis for self defense is him twice threatening to kill Kyle if he caught him alone, chasing him, cornering him, and lunging at him while yelling fuck you and attempting to assault him and trying to take his gun.  That is clear cut self defense. He would have been justified shooting him earlier than he did.  He let him get close where he put a hand on his rifle.

It is not surprising someone with a history assaulting minors dies while doing that.  I am glad this one had the tool to defend himself.

It is an irrelevant post-hoc rationalization. Objection sustained.

Then focus your argument on what is relevant. Objection sustained.

Can we also stop talking about Rittenhouse having no business being there, illegally carrying a weapon, and crossing "STATE LINES" with a gun?  Because none of that is relevant and the last two are not true.

So your position is that rittenhouse had a right to obtain a rifle by straw purchase, violate a local emergency order and curfew, and self-deputize himself into an armed patrol 20 miles from his house?

He has no pending charges for any of that shit so it's not relevant to this trial.  He was legally openly carrying a rifle and was attacked by someone who threatened to kill him and who tried to take his gun.

He is attempting to deploy the he was a good kid pseudo-defense.

That is certainly an argument in sentencing if found guilty, but irrelevant to the initial aggressor element or the self-defense allegation.

White supremacist street fighter is shielded from charges after killing two, while a similar fact pattern with flipped politics ends with the would-be defendant being shot 30 times by cops without warning. After being specifically targeted by trump for retribution at a rally, of course. Echoes of history.

You pick out what CRT books you're going to burn at your verdict party yet?

Nothing similar at all about those facts.  Either the killing or apprehension/police reaction.
