What is it with Lake Travis QB shuttle time?  Kid ran a 4.22 at 6'6" 200 pounds and looks awkward as fuck.

You're going to watch this video and try to tell me that this isn't one of the quickest football players you've ever seen?

also for those of you who really want a good laugh and like me didn't realize how wack as fuck Rivals is, Bryce Foster is their #9 overall prospect in the country (Composite #64.) Ahead of Tommy Brockermeyer (Composite #5 overall.)

They also have Camar Wheaton at #7 overall (Composite #18 overall)

Fucking Ferrell and OU. So transparent and shitty.

Watching Foster in the Conner HUDL is all you need to see to understand how bananas that is. He spends 5 minutes not touching anyone, not trying, or simply falling over people and if you think I’m exaggerating watch it. I did it the other day and it is ... something.

Just find #74 in this video ...

Shemar Turner 247 story

Spoiler

DUNCANVILLE, Texas — One of the biggest targets left on the Texas board for the 2021 recruiting class, DeSoto four-star defensive lineman Shemar Turner, was out at Duncanville Fieldhouse this past weekend to watch some club high school basketball as he is delving deeper into his top five schools.

That top five includes Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas and Texas A&M. Texas and Texas A&M have been considered co-leaders in this recruitment for the latter half of the summer as the two in-state rivals push for one of D-FW's best defensive line talents in the 2021 class.

Working in Texas' favor is the possibility of early playing time and the relationships he has built with the coaching staff, especially with defensive line coach Oscar Giles.

"Our relationship is pretty good," Turner said. "They've been talking about me coming in as a freshman and starting and having a chance to start if I come and work out."

Following Quinn Ewers' commitment on Friday, Turner was able to take a closer look into what the future will look like in Austin as they brought in one of 2022's most coveted prizes.

"I didn't think he would be committing this early," he said. "I don't really be paying attention to Twitter like that, but when I saw it, I was like dang."

Texas A&M remains a steady contender as well as his relationship with defensive line coach Terry Price has been solid throughout his recruitment.

"We've been good," he said. "He's just been talking to me about the name, image and likeness stuff since it's a big thing that they really try to get across to athletes and stuff."

Alabama has had a big summer as they have quickly jumped up to the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, something Turner has kept an eye on and noticed.

"They got a solid recruiting class," Turner said. "They treat their players like NFL players, they have great facilities, great coaches, national championships. They have everything."

As far as a timeline for his decision, he is still holding out in hopes of being able to take a few more visits. The current NCAA dead period is in effect until September 30 and is expected to be extended through the end of the calendar year.

"I'm hoping that official visits get opened up again because I haven't been to two schools in my top five [Georgia and LSU]," he said. "I'm just looking for something that feels like home and makes me feel comfortable in that area."

At 6-foot-3.5, 285 pounds, Turner is the No. 117 recruit in the country for the class of 2021, according to 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 10 strong-side defensive end in the country and the No. 19 recruit in the state of Texas.

I watched this the other day after you posted something about it. I'm definitely not an expert at film eval but my takeaways were that he has bad footwork which leads to not being in the right position to make blocks, and he doesn't finish plays. There are several examples of him pushing his blocking assignment directly into the ball carrier and many of him standing around watching the play. I think he has the tools to be developed into a solid college OL based on measurables and the quick footwork he shows in throwing the shot, but he's going to need to put the work in for sure.

I think I noticed this back when Conner committed and I heard that he wasn't even the top-ranked OL on his HS team.  I thought, "Holy shit, their line must just destroy teams then."  And then I watched Conner's tape and for the life of me, couldn't figure out what number Foster actually was.

That one you posted above literally has about 5 plays in 6 minutes where Foster looks like a good, engaged lineman.  The plays at 1:28, 4:15, and 5:03 are hysterical.

He looks to me like a guy who really doesn't like playing football that much.  So he's missing the most important tool required for development.

For the oldz????

The world wide internets are saying bandit emoji and then the ssh I have seen.

Let's just say you should point your glizzie at your nizzy post it on social mizzy and find some thots to celebrate. Does that help?

We may or may not have a football player commit soon. Lots of twists and turns. Will keep both ears on the ground, but I wouldn't expect this to happen soon unless it does.

Horns 247 / Mike Roach / 2021 QB Maddox Kopp talks Texas interest

2021 QB Maddox Kopp talks Texas interest

MikeRoach

The Texas Longhorns have a hole in the 2021 class at quarterback.

After losing a commitment from Jalen Milroe, Mike Yurcich is on the hunt for a passer to fill that void. Maddox Kopp could be the next target for the Longhorns. The 2021 three-star quarterback from Houston (Texas) St. Thomas participated in the Elite 11 finals and opened some eyes. Kopp told Horns247 that Yurcich reached out to him and indicated some interest.

“They said they were super interested and have been interested, but they just did not recruit me because they wanted to stay solid to their commit,” Kopp said. “If they offered, it would mean a lot. It’s a school that you have to look into, but until it happens, I have to move forward with my recruiting process.”

Kopp originally set a date for commitment on September 1st, and he plans to stick to it unless something drastically changes.

“I am getting there,” he said. “I set a date to commit on September 1st and plan to stick to it. We will see what happens.”

Kopp has yet to make it to Austin as a recruit. He’s seen a game at DKR before, and he understands the history of the program.

“I went to a game my freshman year, but it wasn’t as a recruit,” Kopp said. “I know the history behind Texas and what it means to the people who go there. Other than that, I have not really been on campus.”

For Kopp, the factors are simple. He’s looking for a program where everyone is pulling in the same direction.

“I’m looking for a program that is very similar to a brotherhood,” Kopp said. “I want people that love working together and a program that is going in the right direction.”

At 6-foot-5, 210 pounds, Kopp is ranked as the No. 25 pro-style quarterback in the country and No. 95 overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports Composite.
