When did the spelling of "whoa" change to "woah" - noticed it as an alternate for years, but now it seems to be the only one.

I'd blame Keanu, but I've seen John Wick.

Always thought the first was a direction (as in trying to stop a horse), while the second was a proclamation of surprise/bewilderment.

But you're right... The conflation is real.

Do people actually go to car dealers and get excited to buy dark gray cars? "Fuck red, blue, silver, black and white (and any other color like orange, yellow or purple). I really want that dark gray one"

Can I replace fluorescent bulbs with led bulbs without changing the balist?

They make LED bulbs that are ballast compatible, but you have to make sure that they are compatible with the type of ballast in your fixture.  The compatibility should be listed on the bulb package.  However it’s probably better in the long run to either bypass the ballast, or just replace the fixture

You can leave the fixtures in place and just bypass the ballast. Super, super easy rewiring on the appliance itself. I replaced all the fluorescents in my garage with these, and it was quick and easy, following their directions. No extra parts needed.

These are now out of stock, but I’m sure there are plenty of updated models. Get the right size. Pull one of your existing fluorescent bulbs and the size will be printed on it.

Be gentle…. I’m not a “March Madness” guy.

Texas is in a play in game with Xavier right?  But they are playing for an 11 seed correct?  Shouldn’t play in games be to see who gets 16 seed?

It SHOULD be that way. It’s really shitty than any auto qualifier has to play-in. They got the auto bid

when they first started play-in games, that is how it was.  maybe only lasted for a year or two.  they didn't like how winning a game gave you a reward of immediately getting slaughtered by north carolina or something, so they changed it.  mathematically, it makes sense for it to be 16, but the practical application left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

Let’s say I own a nudist destination and would like to expand my business. How do I lure more out of shape middle age people that should never be seen nude in public to come sit on towels around my Motel 6 level pool? Is it all done via print ads in naturist magazines like it’s still the 1950’s, or do they make video commercials? And if they do where do these commercials air? I’ve never stumbled across one while cruising the internet. FWIW it’s understood the world is a better place with me being clothed in public, it was just a thought that came to me after seeing a YouTube video of a nudist couple looking to buy a house on HGTV.

Ah. I see your point now. My guess is that those special-interest publications and web sites exist, and when one visits those web sites, or subscribes to the publications, one then starts receiving the targeted advertising.

I accidentally took a wrong turn onto a nude beach while jogging on Bygdøy peninsula outside of Oslo one day. It was awful. 80% old, fat dudes, the other 20% old, fat ladies. There is nothing titillating about a nude beach.

Now beaches in Spain, where ladies let their puppies get some sun?  That’s a different story. There is indeed some spectacular scenery there.  Although it’s liberally sprinkled with saggy baggys also. <Insert Ronwhitealrightgrandmarollthembackup.gif here>.
