Y'all Gonna Watch the Fox Nation Patriot Awards Tonight? Sponsored by Golden Corral

Tonight the Fox Nation Patriot Awards are being held at the Hard Rock in Fort Lauderdale. While the Patriot Gold tier is sold out, you can still get a seat at the Patriot Silver ($250) or Patriot level ($125). Special guests include Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Jeanine Pirro and more.

Just one thing to know in the disclaimer:

IMPORTANT: In order to attend The Patriot Awards, all attendees must show either (A) COVID vaccine card OR (B) a negative COVID test taken 72 hours prior to the event. Before entering the venue, your vaccine card or negative test will be verified by a Fox Nation team member in front of Hard Rock Live. Once confirmed, a colored wristband corresponding to the package you purchased will be provided and you can proceed into the venue.

Sure, Ron DeSantis signed a law that says no vaccine passports, but that doesn't apply to Patriots. Show your card or be refused entry.

The title sponsor of the event? Golden Corral. No, seriously.

An insane "patriot awards show"......where the party putting it on requires proof of something that every personality working for that party condemns.....sponsored by a shitty restaurant chain with the unofficial motto of "we'll make you fat and unhealthy, or keep you fat and unhealthy, for super-cheap....just don't expect it to be good!"..... man, that's chef's-kiss peak perfect 'murica 2021.  You could not create a more perfect snapshot of the utterly pathetic shitshow that we are as a country.  Record it, put it in a vault in the Smithsonian, because it will be the centerpiece of the "Was America really that bad in the first half of the 21st century?  Yes, it was!" exhibit some 50 years from now.*

* I mean, it probably won't be shown in an AMERICAN museum, because we'll be some version of Panem by then, but maybe it will get smuggled out so our good friends in Canada or somesuch can play it as a cautionary tale.

Aw man. I'd go, but I'm already booked to lead the line dancing at the Warriors of Viking Jesus convention, sponsored by Hunt Brothers Pizza.

As much time as I’ve spent in the sticks, I haven’t once had even a slice of Hunt Brothers. I really need to remedy that.

You...really aren't missing much.  In fact, I honestly can't recommend it.

Maybe it was just the location in Idalou that I got it at.  Mayby other Hunt Bros locations are more "gourmet".

I see a hit auto-tuned country song, starts out a cappella:

I can have all those things. I’m Surly top 1%. Or top 90% - either way, I win.

Also a blessed sacrament of church of Brisket.

This. The one in the Bluffton Store near the ranch is just fine when the next best option is (was) the Pizza Hut in Llano.

See you bitches at the Cracker Barrel after party.  For everyone in your party who solves the table top triangle game in under four hours, you get a free book to burn.

Also, this should be entertaining:

  • There will be a mandatory check point on site for all attendees prior to entering the venue doors.

Chesters is a fine choice.  But of the gas station fried chicken choices, Krispy Krunchy is the king.  It may be the best fast food chicken out there.  Yeah, I said it.

Gas station food talk not going anywhere.

Brisket -- would you nominate Krispy Krunchy for a Patriot award in the "Most American" fried chicken category?

Well, I mean, if they spelled it “Kchicken,” they’d probably win any award Fox could think of.

Y'all gotta start hitting the gas stations with the Salvadoran lady with the tiny food concession off to the side. You can't find her with GPS. In fact, just because she was there last week doesn't mean she didn't move the whole operation this week. You just need to stop at a gas station on a 2-lane road, stop, walk inside and find out.

I will confess that every time I stop at the Stripes^H^H^H^H^H^H^H7-11 between Wimberley and San Marcos, I either buy a cup of those mini-tacos or curse them for not having any.

When I want to go to St. Patrick’s for a service (Not Catholic, but the service and building are peaceful) I wind up walking past there. There is just such a weird vibe around that building.

Sometimes they film out front. I wonder if one could sneak in a sign. Maybe Faux News: Goebbels would be proud or something like that. Most rubes wouldn't know who Goebbels was.

I was there years ago when my band played a couple songs on the Imus Show.  We got there at like 3am and had a security escort in and out of the building any time we needed to leave (smoke breaks).  The female anchors were in the tightest dresses you could imagine and looked very uncomfortable, downing coffee in the break room between segments.  It was a scene man.  No pics.
