She has that “I’d like to speak to your supervisor” look about her.  Always curious to me, the way in which people voluntarily aspire to lead such ordinary lives.

(Jeff Tarpley) 2019 Expectations for Texas A&M: Playing at a championship level

Here’s an aggy type expectation...

God himself could not sink this ship!” This quotation, made famous by Cameron's film, is reputed to have been the answer given by a deck hand when asked if Titanic was really unsinkable. Whatever the origin of the belief, there is no doubt that people did believe Titanicto be unsinkable.

Quarterback

Kellen Mond's passer rating is closer to the bottom of the SEC than the top but he came up big in some big games last fall and his strengths aren't readily available to the eye. He'll need to improve his accuracy this season if he is to take the next step as a passer but he gets A&M into the right plays and should be a better quarterback this season with numbers returning in the offensive line and wideout.

Ranking - SEC championship level

Advantage, A&M.

"Jimbo Fisher is an elite recruiter and evaluator who elevated Mond as a quarterback, came up with great game plans, found ways to run the ball with an inexperienced offensive line, and used time management to keep A&M's defense off of the field and wear down opposing defenses which made late-game comebacks possible. He coached with a sense of urgency and assembled a staff that improved the Aggies as a team to the extent that they were playing their best ball of the season in the bowl game. There's no higher compliment than that.

Ranking - National championship level"

For the bolded part, he must be referring to Auburn's late-game comeback against aggy.  I have to admit, it was an impressive comeback.

Did jimbo's mother write that crap?  secsec db's, btw, are crappy.

it's actually in a strip mall which often get confused for their football field, which looks just like a strip mall.  They could actually just relocate the entire Law School in to their "hall of Champions" in Kyle Field and neither entity would be effected nor affected at all, either way.

They understand there will be liberals and diversity down there?  I guess so since this is year 3.  They must send their fringe 2%s.

Wow, three straight years at the largest gathering of intellectual and creative mindpower in the United States?  Quite a streak fellas.  If you truly gave a shit about broadcasting your technological and innovative prowess, you'd have been at SXSW 10 or 20 years ago.  But your Anti-Austin and anti-inclusion bullshit clouded your judgement.  Now you're one of a hundred universities featuring something at SXSW and you're still at the kid's table.  Wow, a party at Fleming's?  Cornell has a bigger presence at SXSW than that and they have what?  9 alumni in Texas.

From Texags today comparing Herman and Fisher:

  Quote

Just waiting for you to start "insulting" Jimbo for his wife's alleged cheating, like you've done so many times in the past, proving just what a low-life, pathetic tool you are.

Jimbo was 5-6? Jimbo wasn't allowed to coach the final two games of the season - against UL-Monroe and the bowl - because he'd already agreed to be our coach the next season. You're trying to act like he had a losing record when he didn't, which is just more pathetic hilarity. He went 7-6, just like Tommy did in Year 1 at Texas. And unlike Tommy, he lost his QB, as well as a ton of other players. He also did it against better talent.

You're not posting "simple facts." You're posting absurd, twisted drivel in order to try to make yourself feel better about your own sad life. 2005 is just as irrelevant as 1939 is, champ. 2009 is just as irrelevant as 1998. If they weren't, Texas wouldn't have been so ****ty the last decade. Nor would A&M be better than Texas now, which they are.

Jimbo finished 2nd in the most difficult and talented division in the sport in Year 1, behind a program that's the greatest dynasty the sport has ever had. I think everyone here is pretty happy with that result. Tell us - how'd Tommy do his first year in the weakest league in the sport? Tell us, how'd he have done this past year in the our division?

I'll let others take over from here. What an incredible tool.

You mean he had the exact same record that Herman did in Year 1 at Texas with similar recruiting classes and against less than half the amount of NFL talent? Desperate sucker? The same LSU program that's going to kick the **** out of your tshirt team in about 6 months tried to hire him the year before. I guess a few programs are desperate to higher the coach with the highest winning percentage in ACC history, a guy who averages over 10 wins a season in his career. Imagine how desperate we'd have to be to hire a psychotic drunk who cheats on his wife and breaks NCAA rules from the American Conference.

You are such a pathetic, stupid mother****er.

  Quote

The problem is, nobody cares. Nobody thinks Herman is on Jimbo's level. Because he isn't. Herman is also 1-0 against Bob Stoops. One meaningless bowl game where FSU was forced to play its 3rd string QB vs. a UH team in its biggest game ever doesn't really mean anything. But what does mean something is the repeating pattern of losing to ****ty teams that Tom has done every single year of his career.

Why do you keep trying to push a position that is so easily disposed of? I've dealt with rookie government lawyers that look like ****ing Einstein compared to you.

well, having been working on a project that has involved the mayor's office, the University, Daimler Benz, and the folks at SXSW for some time now, the thought of aggy, anywhere near any of those negotiations for "exposure at their event" is fucking hilarious on many levels.

If they are there, they are in a corner and go worked to get there.

of these two dynamics, I am supremely confident.

Jimbo’s 5-6? More like 5-3 and a half in heels. Also, Jimbo’s “same record as Vodka Tom” included an FCS team. We don’t play FCS teams.

I love how they think Vodka Tom is somehow an insulting nickname. Like Herman throwing back some Titos and G2 is an embarrassment to UT.

Maybe our coach is less of a pussy hobbit bitch than yours, atm.

Saw Beer Belly Chin Pubes Liucci at HLSR tonight.  Hitting on an over-served underage girl near the petting zoo.  He had a 2-3 man posse with him.  I can only assume they were watching the market lamb show.

Absolutely every word of that is 100% true and I couldn't make that up if I tried.

Wow so much stupidity in one place...but a couple questions come to mind immediately...

Are they referring to LSU trying to hire Herman, because that happened...

And why couldn't Jimbo get FSU motivated to play UH in the meaningless bowl game? Isn't that his job?
