People will needlessly die because of this decision. Mark my words.

It's all good. That money will be funneled into the football program and Jimbo's contract. Not any actual research and development.

The group will inherit a facility that has long served as one of the nation’s most important nuclear weapons research centers, but has recently been marred by major workplace safety issues.

And they awarded this to aggy? From bonfire to meltdown, what else could go wrong?

This man is functionally retarded. I mean that with no value judgement, his brain just doesn't work right.

Haha is he referring to a play in a game that happened 6 years ago to try to make a point about conference superiority? The best part is. of course, that this reference and their best season in the SEC was their first - with players who all went to a B12 school. JFC.

Lucrative Los Alamos National Lab contract awarded to team that includes Texas A&M

The Texas A&M University System is part of an alliance that was awarded a lucrative contract to manage and operate Los Alamos National Laboratory, the birthplace of the U.S. atomic bomb.

The U.S. Department of Energy, headed by A&M alumnus and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, announced Friday that a five-year contract has been given to a limited liability company called Triad National Security, which consists of A&M, the University of California System and Battelle Memorial Institute, a research and development organization.

The University of Texas System also bid for the contract, which is worth an estimated $2.5 billion a year and can be extended for five one-year increments following the five-year base period. The New Mexico lab's current management contract expires at the end of September but will be adjusted to allow for a four-month transition period, according to the Energy Department's news release.

“We are committed to building on the legacy of world-class research, unparalleled innovation, and service to public good that have been the hallmark of the laboratory since it was founded in 1943,” A&M System Chancellor John Sharp said in a statement. He said Triad couldn't provide additional information until the transition begins.

Thanks Perry....what could go wrong?

After a couple weeks on the job, aggy will be put in charge of emptying trash cans and sweeping floors.

aggy hoping the excess radiation will cause Jimbo to grow to 5'5".

Jimbo's dad was 6'3". Maybe momma Jimbo took a liking to a midget. And maybe, just maybe, Jimbo learned his cucking ways from his daddy.

So, Univ of Cal Berkeley and aggy are going to work together?  How far apart culturally could two schools get?  Perry did this. What a joke.

Man, when conference realignment was happening and the prospect of aggy going to the PAC with us seemed possible, I was downright giddy about the idea of aggy taking their freakshow to places like the Bay Area and LA and Seattle and watching the reaction. Sigh.

This mean they are doubling down on cold fusion?

I had a really weird dream last night. The Aggies presented a future National Championship trophy to a new coach who had yet to coach a game. The actual date is to be added later. Then I woke up. Sometimes, dreams make no sense whatsoever.

You need professional help, nobody would do such a thing in real life..

It was a banner day for Looch on texags radio today.

Rants about how people in Austin are accusing aggy of cheating, how U of H had their lowest point in their program's history by inviting UT to their satellite camp this weekend, and Major Applewhite should be ashamed of himself. How once again, the recruiting for "Hermensa" is over, but they'll still recruit well at 6-6(??).

Basically after every commercial break is the good stuff.
