Living in southeast Texas, a lot of the kids from the rural areas end up at aggy. I'm glad this thread and aggypedia exists. As soon as my boys can read, they'll get a daily dose of these doofuses

Actually while I'm on that topic.....wasn't it a Sea Aggy who was the captain of the Exxon Valdez back in the late 90's? If so that explains A LOT lol
Nah, he was a Sea Scout, (I googled) something sea aggy can only aspire to. If a Sea aggy got a hold of a tanker they'd simply park it in Houston and sell it by the barrel (by siphon hoses) to help pay Jimbos salary.

Oklahoma State to sell beer at Boone Pickens Stadium

Just throwing this in here:

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP/KXAN) -- Oklahoma State athletics will start selling beer at its venues this fall.

The school made the announcement Thursday in a news release.

Oklahoma State's concessions partner, Sodexo, will administer all beer sales at sporting events following a successful pilot program at Oklahoma State's baseball and softball games during the spring.

At football games, beer will be sold at up to 22 locations adjacent to existing concession stands throughout Boone Pickens Stadium. The offerings will include craft selections. Oklahoma State joins Texas and West Virginia as the only Big 12 schools that will allow fans to purchase beer throughout stadiums.

Earlier in the week, Oklahoma State announced it was devoting more than $1.5 million to concessions enhancements.

The Cowboy football season kicks off at home Aug. 30 against Missouri State.

The University of Texas at Austin only started selling alcohol at its football stadium in the fall of 2015. The decision to start selling alcohol in the general areas of the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium came after the university tested similar sales at other sporting events and in other facilities in 2014.

Let’s be honest: it’s no coincidence that this came after just one season of the Charlie Stronghorns.

Except when it's clear satire.

That's what scary about aggy.  They are so damned ridiculous it is sometimes very difficult to truly determine if it's satire, or just aggyness at play.

Yeah...that never happened. So let's not ever speak of it again.

So they basically don't want competition and the probability that a new vet school will render their's 2nd rate? Sounds aggy

It is beyond absurd (but clearly logical to aggy) to expect the same people who created the problem to solve the problem. The state’s economy needs more large animal vets. Sharp, etc al, didn’t see the problem as it was developing. Obviously, an additional perspective into managing the state’s veterinarian needs is called for. Texas needs the Tech vet school to motivate aggy leadership to get their shit together with respect to managing their vet school.

Why is this here????

Yeah, we don't need another vet school because fuck the animals. Or maybe they're worried that animals will now have the option to be treated with being jizzed on?

Btw - is it true that they're claiming Dr. Doolittle was an aggy?

That really was a remarkable argument.

Issue: Not enough vets in rural areas (which is funny because this is aggy we're talking about) nor ones who serve non domesticated animals.

aggy: it would take away some of our funding and we don't need it because they're trying to do something we're already doing, albeit on a much smaller scale, because we can only house 100+ students a year. Some of which were hand picked to solve the rural problem.

No CR but you should be ashamed if you vote any of these fuckers into office regardless of which gang you bang.

So according to their own "logic," we can expect aggy to shut down their law school because I can assure you that this state does not need an aggy law school.  Anything they are doing there is  being down at other schools with better quality.

Tech takes the initiative to go out and build something from the ground up that is better for the state and the animals and aggy cries about it.

Aggy buys a law school and just slaps a new name on it and we just keep going about our business.

Hypocrisy and idiocy in action at a high level with those fucktards.

What aggys don't seem to understand is that there is a clear tendency for individuals who complete advanced degrees to remain in the geographical area after graduation. The law school argument wasn't as much about there not being sufficient demand for an aggy law school, it was there wasn't sufficient demand in the geographical area around the Brazos Valley to warrant an additional law school in College Station

The current vet school structure in Texas is clearly not sufficient. That aggy wants to expand into west Texas makes sense, but they haven't addressed the argument concerning why competition in this sector wouldn't be beneficial. Unquestionably, aggy administrators need something to get them to start being more attentive to the needs of the Texas economy.

Give the new vet school to Tech, let them compete with aggy in that sector, and maybe Texas will break out of the cycle of perpetually chasing the needs of the state economy. Then Texas will finally have a supply of veterinary professionals sufficient to meet demand.

To be fair, aggy doesn't have a great track record on building things from the ground up.

Honestly I think Texas missed an opportunity and should have picked up a rural system school with an ag program and modelled it after UC Davis.

Randolph Duke will be along shortly to tell you that isn’t needed because aggy is the rural system ag school for the University of Texas.
