French 301 in 1962 - 32 students (me, one other guy, and 30 of your hot moms & grandmas).

It was like a dream come true for a horny asshole who had just graduated from an all male Catholic high school.

Daguerreotypes or it wasn't true.

When I was in HS, our French teacher mentioned Wesson Oil parties in class one day. When we asked what a Wesson Oil party was, she said "rubber sheets and a bottle of Wesson oil". We were a little stunned and too naïve to take the hint.

Oddly brand specific, but nevertheless I'm IN.

This is likely the one thing I can 100% relate to as someone whose freshman year was 52 years later. That experience transcends time.

What does this mean?

When she turned 60.  I’d have been down to clown until then.  There are beautiful women over 60 but she wasn’t one of them.  Plus that’s the year I turned 18. I don’t want to get wholesome Mrs Brady in legal trouble.  That’s where Johnny Bravo comes in

I was reading the obits in the local newspaper today and there was an aggy that passed away. He was in the class of 1959. They mentioned that his name would be read during the aggy muster thing this coming April. The oddest thing about the obit was, as they mentioned his surviving children and extended family, they put in parentheses their respective university they attended and the year they graduated. Most went to aggy.

The only people impressed by someone going to aggy are other aggies.

Her name was Marge. She was the receptionist on the top floor at Exxon Production Research, one of my consulting clients. She would come down to the lobby to escort people up, because the elevator needed a key to go to the executive level. She had short, curly red hair, prototype brick shithouse body, and dresses that left little to the imagination. On one visit, as the elevator ground its way upward, I asked her what she was doing that coming  weekend, and she replied that she was going to a Wesson oil party. Having no idea wtf that was, I queried her about it, and got invited to go along. Which I did. Your imagination can fill in the rest, but my clearest memory is hearing her say those dreaded seven words, "I thought it would be even bigger."

Did she have blue hair?

I've not heard the words "wesson oil party" in a long, long time. No rubber sheets, though: mil-spec poly sheeting 20 feet wide and 8 or 10 mils thick - don't want any rips to get Wesson oil all over your nice shag carpet, right?
