i've been waiting for someone to catch this

we never had an OOC deal w/ aggy

we're not listed for '25 - there was no home/home

we were not listed for '24 until sometime in the past 3 months

this udpate was made when the 24 sec opponents were announced - my suspicion is every school has access to their FBS page for schedules, personnel, etc.

archive.org does not show Texas listed during the last scrape in march as an aggy OOC opponent

this is 1000% full-on aggy vaginal bleeding

My guess is when they added the 2024 SEC conference opponents to each teams’ schedule, the non-con page automatically populated Texas as one of their games since it likely assumes we will still be in the Big 12.

Texas A&M faculty worry about long-term damage over university leaders’ treatment of professors

Miranda and other faculty members described a sense of disappointment, sadness and concern this week about the future of their university following the resignation of Texas A&M President M. Katherine Banks amid a surge of backlash over the failed hiring of a Black journalist to lead a revived journalism program, first reported by The Texas Tribune.

The turmoil grew when the Tribune published another report Tuesday detailing a second instance in which school officials made employment decisions in apparent response to political pressure. University officials suspended and investigated a professor who was accused of criticizing Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick in a lecture. She was cleared of wrongdoing.

Ordinarily I'd say "that's gonna leave a mark", but sadly it won't.  Sharp doesn't give a damn.

This is exactly right. We’re living in a topsy-turvy world.

In theory this should be a major scandal and hurt aggy in the perception of the public, academia, and alumni.

In reality, the rational people who laugh at and/or despise aggy will still do so, and the hive mind thinks Sharp’s actions and those of the white-sheeted folks who ran off Dr. McElroy were exemplary. This is exactly what they WANT Sharp to do.

“Now, Manziel isn't even remotely the first NFL player to blow a million-to-one chance to star in America's favorite game . . . Even nerdy Browns linebacker Myles Garrett was suspended indefinitely in 2019 after trying to behead a Pittsburgh Steeler with a helmet.

Didn't they both play college ball at . . . at . . .  no, don't tell me, I'll get it in a minute . . .

Black aggys raised hell because of the institutional racism during the Melvin Watkins era. They even threatened to redirect prospective students/athletes away from the school. It’s time for them to stop threatening and use the little leverage they have. If A&M simply cannot abide black liberal professors, it follows that black liberal 5 star athletes should be as undesirable.

Got a feeling, this ain’t gonna end well, in the long run, for aggy…..nttawwt.
Doesn't seem to affect their football recruiting much if at all, they still manage to pull some 4/5*'s not only in state, but from urban areas of other states as well. Guess fish camp starts before enrolling.

One cannot ignore the fact that they pay well. They have to. Unbridled racism is expensive.

"winning national championships."

Their best finish came in 2012-2013 placing number 5 with 1131.1 points.  This was their first year in the SEC  and also the year the football team, made up of players and coaches who all signed on at aggy to play in the Big 12, had their best SEC football season ever!   Tied for 4th/5th with South Carolina.

"Texas A&M climbed to fifth place with 1131.50 total points. The Aggies tied for first in men’s outdoor
track and field
and finished second in women’s tennis and women’s track and field."

So "national championship" for men's outdoor track and field which they tied for.  And ..........

Is it after this "best finish" ever that they built the "Hall of Champions" to celebrate their men tying for first outdoor track and field and the various meat judging titles they were set to earn at the Corp Glory hole's?

To be fair, Texas Tech may have more "chops" when it comes to meat judging.  This is article from 2021 about Tech winning their 3rd strait title and 16th overall title.  Also, if you click the link and look at the picture they look much more normal than the last aggy team to win.
