How ground up are the Longhorns today? How many players died?

Sure, we'll show up for OU. I mean, they're just another BDF re-tread like us. But then Georgia? And then the rest of the SEC schedule? The grind? I weep for our players!

Oh the humanity!

This is where I get confused; is ousucks now an SECSECSEC juggernaut that can win on the road against an SECSECSEC Blue Blood like Auburn?   Or is ousucks a BDF re-tread just like those over-rated sips?  Or does it depend on who they are playing?

The mental gymnastics necessary to be a texum aggy twelfth glory-hole man are exhausting.

Relax and hit the copium ags! (Maybe that is the shit the milkmen admonish the ags to "pass it back")

I love being a bit behind on this thread and reading posts such as these knowing that BG went on to lose to (checks ESPN app) Old Dominion 😂

Aggycoaster is undefeated. The only other thing that compares is the other undefeated thing that starts with a p

Mizzou ain't that good; aggy has a solid chance to beat them.

Missouri has a WR corps and a QB that should knife through the ATM back seven if the Mizzou OL can handle the DL. It could actually get ugly if the QB is on point this Saturday.

Separately, Mizzou has a pretty damned good defense.

They run too. I think Drink’s team is one of their best.

Missouri has played two teams with a pulse and easily could have lost either, or both.

That said, Missouri has the ability to punish A&M’s secondary in a way that could put a lot of stress on a couple of pretty unimpressive maroon QBs. Imo.

It looks like another quality loss incoming, but I think Missouri just isn’t all that.

Power ranking the SEC after week 5: #6 - Texas
If I had told you coming into the weekend that Texas would have struggled with Mississippi State more than Florida did, I’m not sure many would have believed me. I’m not going to buy any backup quarterback excuses, given the hype around the Longhorn QB2—and it wasn’t his fault, anyway.

No, this was something more surprising: the Longhorns plainly let Mississippi State control the game for most of the first half. The Bulldogs had a lot of success on the ground early on, gashing the Longhorn defense several times on the first drive.

However, with no Blake Shapen, the MSU pass offense was nowhere to be found. In a way, though, this makes the rushing success that MSU had far more surprising: you’d think that Texas would be able to walk down on all the receivers and load up the box to completely stymy the Bulldog rush game, but that’s not at all what happened.

MSU had their second-highest YPC of the year against Texas—more than they averaged against Arizona State or Toledo—and their third-highest rush success rate. The Longhorns themselves struggled when they got behind the chains, with only a 29% success rate on passing downs.

I’ve suspected a performance like this has been coming for this Longhorn team for quite some time, which is why I’ve had them a little bit lower than others. Make no mistake: top six in the SEC is still good for a top-15 team overall, but some of the games on the Longhorn schedule are beginning to look a lot more intimidating after that performance.

Power ranking the SEC after week 5: #4 - Texas A&M
Even though Texas A&M football is completely hamstrung on offense thanks to the quarterback situation, they just keep finding ways to win. This was a horrible matchup for their offense this weekend, but they found a way to emerge from Arlington with a victory.

This was almost a blowout. So many games are won on the margins, but it seems like a lot went poorly for the Aggies that almost didn’t: an uncalled PI, several missed deep balls, a dropped pick-six, and Arkansas converting on a fake punt and 75-yard touchdown. We could have easily been looking at a 35-6 or 42-6 kind of result here had things broken just a little bit differently.

The what-ifs don’t win you games, but they are sometimes useful for looking forward. Texas A&M is remaining this high because of what they can do with a capable passer behind center, which Marcel Reed has not proven to be so far. When Conner Weigman returns, this could be one of the most dangerous teams in the entire nation.

Win the game against Missouri this weekend heading into the bye, and that playoff talk that we saw in the preseason cranks right back up. If we see no. 15 back behind center on Saturday, watch out.
