1. Elite Recruiting: Sign Top-5 classes annually, focusing on physically dominant players and building depth across all positions.

2. Quarterback Play: Land and develop a star QB.

3. Dominate the Trenches: Build elite offensive and defensive lines with size, strength, and athleticism, having depth to sustain performance throughout the season.

4. NIL Strategy: Use NIL effectively to recruit and retain top talent.

5. Player Development: Emphasis on hiring elite position coaches who specialize in developing players at every position.

6. Win SEC Matchups: Beat Alabama, LSU, and other top programs in key games.

7. Lockdown Defense: Build a defense that thrives in big games, leveraging size, strength, and depth to dominate opponents.

8. Minimize Mistakes: create a football culture which reduces turnovers and penalties.

10. Injury Prevention: Keep players healthy throughout the season by managing the workload of a deep roster.

11. Fan Support: Leverage the passion of the 12th Man.

12. Close Strong in November: Peak at the right time for the playoff push with a deep, resilient team.

Same but different but same

The real danger of AI is now apparent...

I joked about this before.  They will go through the AI research process and fuck it up.  One of their idiots will put in some wrong aggy information and New Mexico State will end up winning the national championship.

We would have won if we had just kicked a field goal every time we entered Randy Bond's range

They entered his range twice and assuming he actually made both FGs, they would have had 6 offensive points. Idiots.

If you’re sad now, you might still feel sad there, okay? Do you understand? That makes sense? But remember, you’re still going to be you on vacation. If you are sad where you are, and then you get on a plane to Italy, the you in Italy will be the same sad you from before. Just in a new place. Does that make sense? There’s a lot a vacation can do. Help you unwind. See some different looking squirrels. But it cannot fix deeper issues like how you behave in group settings or your general baseline mood. That’s a job for incremental lifestyle changes sustained over time.

Don’t think I’ll hold my breath waiting for Graham’s SEC power rankings. He didn’t post them last week. Too bad. He’s a great troll.

I was starting to think he was a troll until last week when he didn't post weekly rankings. He was clearly worried about how thing were going to play out. Otherwise, why not post them?

I need to frame this fucking post, can't tell you how much I love seeing this. Aggy gave me a shitload of grief on reddit for saying they should move to the Big Ten if they couldn't beat Texas on the field. All that bragging, time spent stewing about Texas ruining the conference, etc. It was for NOTHING. That is aggy. They are NOTHING.

It's funny how they realize that their only positive offer to these other conferences is that it makes it easier for other schools to recruit inside the state of Texas. That's it.

"Maybe they will like me if I let them exploit me!"

It's pathetic. They're pathetic.

They are like women with daddy issues.

Just took a look on Texags.  I’ve seen some pretty gloomy meltdowns on that site (minimum 4 per year), but I don’t think I’ve ever seen aggy fans in a worse state than they are now.  Those sorry bastards are living their worst nightmare now and it’s great entertainment.  Let’s keep kicking them while they are down!

We now have a full 12 month's supply of aggy tears to hold us over till next year.   There is so much material here, that I don’t think I’ll ever get thru it all.  Reading Surly here is better than any novel that I can think of….keep it up aggy..!

They say that Kyle Field is very hard to win in.  And yet A&M, who plays in Kyle more than anybody, has won barely 50% of their conference games in Kyle field since joining the SEC, proving the idea that it's a hard place to win in very, very wrong.

aggy spends 13 years fixating on us, puts enormous obsessive pressure on the program to win this game above all else, and wonders what their problem is.

Meanwhile, our culture expects us to win every game and compete for championships. There is tremendous pressure, but it is different. Our program doesn't write off losses with "Well, if we just beat x, all is well." The pressure is steady and constant, and our best teams learn to deal with it. Our businesslike approach to that circus last night bears all of this out.

If we had gone and lost to Arkansas and Kentucky no redemption would have been found in beating aggy.  The same can not be said for their culture.

It's not complicated at all....but hundreds of thousands of them can't see it.

To be fair, that guy came up with a more detailed plan than Bjork ever managed, and aggy was paying him $1.5M/yr before he left to go fuckup tOSU. Hell they should shitcan Trev and let this guy work for free

Quote

In the two weeks between the firing of Fisher and the hiring of Elko, Texas A&M AD Ross Bjork said he spoke to 30 coaches and more than 25 ex-players -- some of those, like Lions head coach Dan Campbell, are both -- which, he said, "helped crystalize the identity of the ideal candidate."

However, the most instructive activity Bjork and his team undertook, as he recounted Monday, was a research project that studied how each national champions in the SEC are built.

"The more you look at it, the simpler it gets. The majority of the winners have these things in common: a defensive-minded head coach, a championship-level culture, recruit and acquire elite NFL-type talent, play great offense and score a lot of points with a high-level quarterback," Bjork said

There's some gems in that article, starting with the obvious, which is the idea of that fat fuck Elko taking the stairs anywhere.

This is Texas A&M:

ESPN's website has a "Win Probability" graph for each game that tracks both teams' chance of winning the game as it plays out.  In last week's aggy @ Auburn game, aggy hit a 100% chance of winning when they took the lead 38 to 31 in OT.  100%.  And then?  They lost.  aggy lost a game they had a 100% chance of winning.  That is Texas A&M.

I love the Aggie tears and the general depression overall on the maroon, comedy channel i.e, TexAgs. What is shocking to me is that they one hundred percent thought that they had a prayer of winning this game. Those fucktard‘s actually thought that the fans in the stands were going to get them this win.  That cult is insane.

I was smiling all day with the upsets going on. My aggy wife’s mental “roller coaster” was going up and each upset another clickity-clack. I knew their team was shit but kept keeping that hope alive, so that when she’s yelling at me to leave the room later because my clapping is arrogant and uncalled for, that’s the freshest of aggy tears. So deliciously bitter. 🤤

I think it was reasonable to think they had a chance. What wasnt reasonable was the blind confidence that they were going to destroy us. And after the first half it was abundantly apparent that they were gonna lose in convincing fashion.

Bingo. Never change aggy.

I know it's in the nature of fandom to be really emo after a big loss, but TBH I think some of them are overdoing it with the harikari act.

Their losses this year are to very good Notre Dame and Texas teams, on the road at a very solid SC squad, and a road 4OT heartbreaker against Auburn. That's....not that bad for year 1 of a new coach? They beat decent LSU, Mizzou, and Florida squads.

This is aggy, and this is what they do. They are Charlie Brown. They hired a coach that looks like a 40-something year old version of Charlie. They have the blueprint/recipe/secret, but they clearly can’t read/comprehend the measurements. Aggys, even if it’s fool-proof, they can still fuck it up. Case in point the post shown below. It’s their milieu.

It’s hard for Aggy to win there too. Doesn’t this make our record at Kyle Field 6-2 in our last 8? Keep twirling those towels, the breeze feels nice. 🤘🏼

Let's review how Bjork's championship genius plan is working:

However, the most instructive activity Bjork and his team undertook, as he recounted Monday, was a research project that studied how national champions in the SEC are built.

"The more you look at it, the simpler it gets." Bjork said. "The majority of the winners have these things in common:"
A defensive-minded head coach (CHECK)

Recruit and acquire elite NFL-type talent (NO CHECK)
Play great offense (NO CHECK)
Score a lot of points with a high-level quarterback (NO CHECK)

It's not a prediction of the game, it's a tracker that advances during the game as to the likelihood of each team to win with the score of the game and the time remaining and the way the game is going, etc.  Works in OT the same way it works in regular time.
