This is proof that the BOMC doesn’t exist. If it did, no way aggy would get preseason hype every fucking year. Those idiots get way more press than they should for continuous mediocre results, especially with the number of cupcakes they had to play to even attain consistent mediocrity.

They get hyped by the ESPN/SEC machine so that when the good teams beat them it counts as a "ranked win".

Shamelessly stolen from TexAgs:

Since our Big XII Title in 1998:

Number of seasons with better than an 8-4 record:

Slocum: 0 / 4
Fran: 1 / 5
Sherman: 1 / 4
Sumlin: 1 / 6
Fisher: 2 / 6
Elko: 0 / 1

5 / 26

21 of 26 seasons have been 8-4 or worse. This is actually unbelievable.

You know... I remember the condescension of one particulary aggy fan in 2012.  It was brutal.  Sort of like a, "oh... it will be your turn soon enough".

Yeah, its usually our turn.  Shut up and get back to your rightful mediocrity.

Quote

Texas A&M (8-4, 5-3 SEC) finished the season disappointingly after losing to Texas (11-1, 7-1 SEC) in the revival of the Lone Star Showdown but fell woefully short on both sides of the ball despite allowing just 17 points on the night.

With the loss, the Aggies were virtually eliminated from the College Football Playoff and lost their shot at facing Georgia in the SEC Championship game, as the Longhorns will face the Bulldogs in what should be an entertaining rematch.

However, despite the loss, the future looks bright under head coach Mike Elko. He is heading into his second full offseason with plenty of recruiting momentum ahead of Early Signing Day, but he will need to match his transfer portal success from last offseason, especially at wide receiver and defensive line.

After losing to Auburn and Texas to finish the regular season, Texas A&M fell out of the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25, which isn’t a surprise but could still be ranked in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

----------------------

Goes through the whole ranking, then the projected matchups before hitting us with the money shot:

Apparently aggy thinks they've only lost to Texas 62 times instead of tbe actual 77

It worked for Fran when he randomly decided to count the spring game as a win. Why would it not work for the rivalry? Just put it on the wall.

Question:

With all the dust settled, if aggy had won one of Auburn or SCar, would they be in the CCG?

Georgia and A&M would go to tie breaker - they only shared 4 common opponents - Miss St, Auburn, Florida, Texas

If aggy lost to SCar only (since Georgia beat Auburn) - It would go the 3rd tie breaker - which is record against top teams in the standings and work your way down.

Since Texas beat Aggy and Georgia beat Texas....aggy would still be out of CCG.

By my count we won 8 or more games 19 times in that period.

Damn

15 including this year.

Well Texas did suck for basically an entire Decade or so. Can't win them all...I'm sure aggy did MUCH better over that time.

Yes, I’m sure TAMU would’ve dominated UT in the interregnum when UT was flailing, as evidenced by firing 3 coaches who either overstayed their welcome (Mack), or were in over their heads (Herman, Strong).

After all, A&M was having unprecedented success, as evidenced by their firing three coaches for incompetence and hubris. So of course they would have dominated UT.

Our turn to do what, finish 3rd in the SEC West? We've done a little better than that.
