...and here I thought betting on aggy to choke in big games was the safest bet
Any of you degenerates have aggy's record against ranked teams this past season? Mizzou "upset" notwithstanding?

Lost to Notre Dame, Texas and South Carolina (currently 14, but unranked when they played).

Beat Mizzou and LSU. Only Mizzou is still ranked.

I did my weekly rummage thru the TexAgs Texas game thread lololololol

75% of the posts are over analyzing every play for no call Texas hold and crying why we had zero penalties... until we finally got one then they complained we only had 1 penalty... etc etc

Their collective psyche is so totally broken and fucked by our performance last two years.  It's total comedy.

The remaining 25% is asking why they couldn't do such simple things such ass make those CK passes on our defense lol

Can someone calculate how much aggy is paying per win this year? Factoring in Jimbo and The Elk’s salaries, etc. and just assume aggy will lose to USC

Jimbo gets $7.1M/yr through 2031.

The Elk gets $7M/yr through 2029.

About $14M/yr for the next 5 years. Is 8 wins a good return on that?

For perspective, Sark gets $10.3M this year, and I think his incentives so far are an extra $150k for SECCG, $250k for making 1st round, $500k for making quarterfinals. $11.2M total it appears so far? More cash for any coach of the year awards.

This math is so fun, but can you imagine an aggie trying to rationalize the variance?

I'd actually really enjoy the "logic".

You know, I guess I knew these numbers but I have never seen them side by side.

Not only is jimbo getting paid more than Elko, his guaranteed is longer.

Giggity.

And that number for Jimbo didn't include 25% of the total buyout (about $19M) they had to pay him within 60 days of his termination.

Incorrect date aside, I love that they think all of America save Austin hates us.  One of the largest alumni groups in the world -- almost 600,000 still alive -- but yeah, they're all in Austin.

Let that hate eat you up, Aggies.

Isn’t this against their largest perceived insult of “Tshirt fans.”

I mean, we know they’re hypocrites but this one is pretty transparent.

Which is it? The most T-shirt fans or the most hated? We just can’t have both…

Having a hard time believing we have more t-shirt fans than Norte Dome. Or being more hated. Although, be fair, if we include international fans, I can see more t-shirts. Hated, though? Don't think so - I've avoided many problems overseas by explaining that I'm from Texas, and while we are content to let the Ugly Americans believe we are one of their "States", we are in fact a separate country in every important way.

We are definitely the most hated. Hell were the most hated on most talk shows going today in modern college football. Notre dame has employees on tv to talk them up. Hell every conference has minions on tv. Our conference channel hates us. That’s all I need to see and hear to understand we’re the most hated. And I love it. Embrace it and FAFO

I bet if you went to Collie Station on any given Saturday and took a survey of their fans entering the stadium or hanging out in their tailgate areas and asked them about their relationship to Chernobyl, aka aggy land, the ratio of Tshirt fans as they call them would be about the same if not more than our fan base using their criteria. .

They’ve narrowed the definition of Tshirt fans too when it comes to our fan base.  In their little pea brains, if you don’t hold a degree from Texas, you are Tshirt fan.   Those who didn’t graduate, couldn’t attend for one reason or another but had the grades and desire, have deep family roots do not count as real fans.   This also includes the likes of donors who didn’t attend but support the university through their company or individually.

Just a bunch of pussies and hypocrites.

Everybody else calls aggy t-shirt fans Blinn dropouts.

I know we like to shit on Blinn but having actually hung out with some Blinn students I actually like the cut of their gib.  Typically they do not associate with aggy or want anything to do with that cesspool.  Yes there are the ones who think they will get into the super ultra mega diploma mill but honestly it's a minority.

Keep the sec network on in the background at my office and I really don’t see the hate on there with the morning show and Paul in the afternoon. Yea they had some harsh things to say after Georgia but that’s understandable. It wasn’t even hate, just that Texas got pummeled on both sides of the lines.

well.

so far, i've seen zero aggy gear. nothing. not even a ball cap. no aggy gifts to each other. no talk about their "revenge" game. no talk about college football whatsoever. not even bomc themed discussions. in fact, they have no interest in any bowl games whatsoever much less playoffs.

fucking glorious. 🤘

We've got t-shirt fans all over the country and in Mexico if I'm not mistaken. A great many people want to see Texas good because it just feels we should be one of the teams almost always in the running. People wanted Alabama to come back. They're another national name.

When we are good, we have people all over the country sporting the emblem. I don't think you see that for many other contenders. I think part of it is the elegance of the Longhorn emblem. Another part is that Texas really isn't tied to a specific region, so it's easy to feel included no matter where you're from.

Of course, people will pull for underdogs against us. Once we win an NC (that's natty for all the idiots who've never sniffed one in the audience), some will want to see us taknen down a notch: that's all just human nature.

The new variable is the horns down gesture. That could catch on. It does appeal to the negative side. On TV, you see (losing) fans from other teams giving the gesture as though it's a death ray gun that will have some sort of profound impact on Longhorn fans. It's weird.

I think the Aggies making a big deal about the Big 12 rule regarding hand gestures probably set this up in the SEC. The sips hate it when you do the horns down. They used their toxicity to create a rule against doing it.*

The Aggies would be congratulating themselves on having one of their lies work against Texas, but they won't admit it's  lie.

I don't like the widespread use of "hate" in sports. It was considered a very strong word for most of my life. Maybe that's changed. I always pull against the Aggies except in a few rare cases where they've been an underdog but were fighting hard. Maybe 4 times in my life. I don't hate them. I despise their weirdo culture that paints Texas as evil rather than simply a rival. And their turning sports into a holy war. And their constant lying about the past. Fuck, maybe I do hate them. But nobody else!

ETA

* We had a receiver named Johnson Davis who scored a touchdown against Tech at Tech. He faced the endzone stands, did their guns up gesture then holstered the gun. That's it.

The ref through threw a flag for taunting. We went to the Big 12 because players were not being penalized for doing the horns down. It was about whether or not to respect a school's hand sign. There is no rule specifying the horns down. The Big 12 ruled that no such negative gestures should be made.

Fuck the lying Aggies.

My former in-laws are East Texas aggy. After the 2011 Longhorns win, they didn’t say a damn word about the game, just how awesome it was that they were moving to the SEC.

It would be awesome to be part of their football conversations now . . . except that would mean I’d be around my ex-wife, so never mind.

…and “tshirt fans” has always been a compliment to me.
You mean to tell me we have a shit ton of people that support Longhorns despite never attending school here? That’s awesome.
I've never fucked sheep either but I know I wouldn’t like it.

Old man I used to work with said it felt like a woman’s pussy.
