They must have forgotten to enjoy the moments of aggy zen like they were asked to. Or perhaps being a butt-hurt freakazoid is aggy's version of zen.

Perhaps they should petition the NCAA to make limbo a sport so they can actually win some natties so the hall of chumpions can become the hall of champions because they darn sure can't count on football, basketball, or baseball.

That mentality perfectly illustrates why aggy will never accomplish a fucking thing in athletics. they care more about appearances and what other people say about them than they care about substance and looking internally to figure out why they haven't won a goddamned thing since 1939.

It's because of the sips and the BOMC, with Sankey and the SEC added to the mix recently. Everyone treats them unfairly. It's not their fault.

My god, they truly are the biggest crybabies in college sports.  The Texags host personally whining to the SEC broadcaster about every perceived slight of the broadcast was embarrassing.  But the aggie faithful just lap that shit up.  They don’t realize, however, that they continue to look like idiots to the media.

I mean, bitching about a broadcast on a fan message board is one thing; everyone does that including us.  But grilling your weekly guest about every single thing he said during the broadcast you didn’t like is not a good look to the media that you are demanding respect from.

And they wonder why they don’t have the cachet that UT has.
I hope they never change, and they won’t.

I looked up Tom Hart's bona fides -- no surprise, he's a Missouri grad.  I myself did my undergrad there, and i applaud him for biting his tongue and dealing with all of the butthurt in a professional manner.  Then again, Mizzou's j-school is widely thought of as the best, so maybe it just comes naturally to him.

I was with one of Texas Tech's BMD's last night. The group was discussing Micah Hudson's potential return to Tech. When asked about what Tech would have to offer Micah to get him back the donor replied, "It's not what we'd offer that's the hold up. Its up to him, if he wants to come back he'd have to stop being a modern day Edwin Simmons." What a name to drop from about forty years ago. That told me all that I needed to know about Micah's off field behavior.

Please be kind. Edwin was a friend of mine at Texas. Nice guy.

From what I remember it wasn't a "girl" it was a much older woman with big bucks that got Simmons back to Tarrytown. Then Simmons was arrested outside the home on suspicion of burglary because the screen had been pulled off the window. The police had responded to a caller that said a "prowler" was seen in the neighborhood.

Simmons was released and suspended like two games till the truth came out and he was reinstated.

I remember all the jokes.

Simmons should play quarterback because he could run the "naked" bootleg better than anybody. That he was always ready for the "naked bootyleg" call.

That he thought "streaking" was still a thing.

That he was the naked "cat" burglar.

Ohio State spent $37 million more than they made last year. Attributed partially to the basketball coach buyout and only 6 home games.

https://www.on3.com/college/ohio-state-buckeyes/news/ohio-state-athletics-operated-at-37-million-deficit-last-year/

Our athletic department seems fiscally conservative by this measure. It's my understanding that we didn't go into debt to pay Jimbo.

Will be interesting to see if Ohio state is able to take in a huge profit next year coming of a natty. If they don't, and SEC programs operate with more fiscal discipline, it could be difficult for the Big 10 to sustain the success they had this year. Wonder if this is an outlier or if a bunch of programs ran deficits this year. Should be interesting to watch as other school financials start to make their way into public view.

The future wasn't so bright on 12/1/24. Texags was like a virtual Jonestown. Oh well, there's always next year and the rollercoaster just left the staging area.  Liucci will have those dipshits creaming in their bedazzled overalls by June.

Yeah 25-5 vs 15-11 in the last 2 seasons it's pretty obvious...

Wait, I'm being told that aggy is the team that has lost 11 games in the last 2 seasons , and Texas has played in 2 conference championship games and 4 CFP games in that period vs none for aggy

I worked with Tom for a while about 20 years ago. He was dangerously witty and this TexAgs ambush will make him must-watch-TV on any future aggy games that he calls.  I think they just poked a bear that we can sit back and enjoy for the next 10 years.

He clearly knew what he was getting into, so it’s hard to call that an ambush. But it was an exceedingly bad look for aggy and was further confirmation of their little brother status.

Is there any way we can get him on here to get his insights on that joke of an interview?

That bear said he had been coming on texags every week for the last six years. He didn't say he would stop doing that either, said he didn't want to lose that accessibility with them.

He seems to be pretty cozy with Aggy, even if they are now riled up at him.

Sources: Texas A&M set to nab James Madison defensive coordinator

John Brice      Jan 22, 2025

Lyle Hemphill is poised to return to work with Mike Elko.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Hemphill, who spent the 2024 season as James Madison's defensive coordinator and nickels coach, is the frontrunner to join Mike Elko's staff.

Sources told FootballScoop Tuesday afternoon that Hemphill had formally resigned his position at James Madison.

Prior to this past year at JMU, Hemphill spent the 2022-23 seasons as co-defensive coordinator at Duke.

He also had an extended ACC run under Dave Clawson at Wake Forest from 2017-21.

Hemphill is a former collegiate football player and wrestler at Ursinus College.
