BREAKING: Texas A&M has agreed to a 15-year, $515M multi-media deal with Playfly Sports, @billyliucci reports🤯

"A&M jumps from $18mm to $34mm annually, thanks to the largest such deal in college athletics."

Playfly Sports is a sports media, marketing and technology business centered around the team, league, brand and network, according to its website, and is focused on a consultative, data-driven approach to reach, engage, monetize and measure fandom that gives its partners — in this case Texas A&M — a competitive advantage.

I'm no business man, but are we sure aggie didn't aggie it up and agree to pay THEM half a billion dollars, because looking at this website, I'm not so sure they have $5m to spend, much less $500m

Also, lol at the company's "Values" page. Aggie is gonna love this:

Glass houses man. It's like none of you remember the rings Mack had made for winning the fucking Alamo Bowl and "creating momentum for next year".  Mack out Aggied Aggy on that one.

We remember. And every Horn fan was embarrassed by that orange slice bullshit. Aggy celebrates it from the Prez to the Fish. Key difference.

Didn’t we have someone called Learfield sports handle the merchandising and other licensing deals? This may be the aggy version of it. Knowing aggy, the number is probably inflated by how much merchandise can be sold and how much they could make if it were to occur.

I don't know about a band name, but Glory Hole Protocol would make a pretty awesome album name.

Let alone a Band name. GHP could go platinum! Especially in B/CS and West Houston. Not counting the diminishing SETX town of Beaumont.

For the life of me, I can’t figure out what service playfly actually delivers. They do seem to talk about owning the multimedia rights for some teams. There is zero chance they own that for A&M. The SEC owns the content that has value. I suppose playfly can own the rights to Elko’s weekly tv show and maybe some other original content but that can’t be worth anywhere near that amount.

and if for some reason these types of rights are worth that much and A&M is on the leading edge of these deals, that means other schools will ultimately command a much higher multiple.

And I scoff at the idea this is guaranteed. It’s guaranteed only as long as playfly outearns that amount.

I'm already looking forward to the collapse of this deal in a couple of years. I stopped worrying about anything those chucklefucks did many, many years ago. They are losers at their core (and their corps), hardwired for failure. It doesnt make a fuck who they work with or who they hire. Their hive mind stupidity will prohibit those morons from ever figuring it out.
