$5.38 apiece doesn't seem like a great deal.

It's a bundle bro! We have all been taught that bundles are always a better deal even if it's way more expensive, trickier to order, often misses parts, and takes longer to deliver. It's just better cause it's a bundle. Stop asking questions and get your fried burrito on already.

Allsup's is a NM chain.  I've been going to Allsups since I was kneehigh to a chapulín.

They are some of the nastiest establishments on the planet.  When you open the door, you're assaulted by the rank smell wave of rancid grease and body odor.  Each step needs to be taken carefully because the perpetual grease film on the tile floor, that is occasionally stirred around with the same mop water that gets regularly changed once a year.  God help you if you use the bathroom.  And the food?  It's a good way to harden your digestive tract so you're immune to botulism, ecoli, listeria, and hepatitis.

When you walk out, you notice that the stench has stuck to your clothes, your hair, your nose hair, your eye membranes, your mouth tissue, and any other organ or orifice you exposed to the miasma inside.  It will stick to your car, your pet, anything that you come within 5 feet of for the next 24 hours.  You should just burn your clothes immediately.  Your car may never be the same.

When I graduated from UT, I swore I would never eat at a McDonalds again.

I was a Project Engineer in the early 80's with projects near Abilene, Big Lake & Brownfield. I would fly in to Abilene, drive 550 miles over 3 days, and leave from Lubbock. Brownfield was the high point, as it was close enough to drive to Lubbock for dinner. I ate a lot of trash food on the road, and every time I think of it, the smell of Assups and the vat of fried grease that was never changed overwhelms me, and my face contorts into a disgusting scowl. No way I could ever eat anything that smelled like that.

I was never so happy in my life to see the Golden Arches on the horizon.

If there's one thing Texas needs, it's more "premium" "handcrafted" vodka.

Holy shit, AI just told me there are more than 130 in Texas alone. My guesstimate was off by about a hundred.

Titos, Deep Eddy, and Dripping Springs Vodka are about as far down the list as I need to go. All solid choices.

If you think about it, it really makes a lot of sense. And even though Collin Klein is their offensive coach, there is a definitely a parallel between the Eagle shutting down Patrick Meh Homes and the Aggie 2025 offense:

Some owe Collin Klein an apology

The Eagles used power football to humiliate the Chiefs and Patrick Meh Homes.
They drove his QB rating 88 in Superbowls. Three picks is now called a P hat trick.

The Eagles is what Klein is trying to build and he came damn close until Moss went down.

Yep. That’s what my playing partner and I got sloshed on while winning the Epic Fail Trophy for finishing last place at the Inaugural Shaggybevo (RIP) Open at Mo Willy, circa….fuck I can’t even remember. I only really recall getting cart stuck in mud and my buddy form tackling me on the 18th green.

for you old timers, I believe Snow Dog was one of our foursome.

Well in this instance, I’m pretty sure handcrafted means that it’s jizz. But an aggy put it in the bottle. Some medical professionals looked at the specimen and declared it was a mongoloid generated product or MGP.

Anyways, you don’t want it.

Leave it to aggy to sign the highest rated class ever in college football and three years later they have only 3 invites to the NFL combine.

Anyone who signs with Texas A&M is not a serious player.

My grandmother had her trailer directly behind the Allsups in Crane. She would hand me quarters and would play arcade there for countless hours and then mix 10 flavors of the slush puppies.

CSB, was just at our CEOs country club this week at Cordevalle. We played a round with 12 of us total, and three coworkers in front of us managed to order 24 drinks between the three of them by the time they got to the 14th hole. Needless to say they basically had to be rolled into the club house. I had to babysit two of the dipshits because they were too drunk to check out of their room and still trying to order tequila shots at the grill. I had to pile their asses rugby scrum style into a golf cart to take then 300 feet to their rooms. I then had to help them pack up their shit while not further embarrassing the company. I was so pissed, but as I was driving them to the front of the valet area I leaned over and said “What’s your surly handle?”

I drove down the stairs of the patio at greyrock one time. One of my friends that worked with me was in the cart too and between us, let’s say 550-600 lbs. I think the cart was ok.

This was probably 2009 or so. I guess I would have asked him what his shaggybevo name was. Or would that been surlytexas by then? Wait, which version of the Texas msg board matrix am I in right now?

And since we’re also talking about snowdog, I think he was the first poster I ever met in person. I went to one of the HH’s that was way over on west 6th in my xj with no doors. We shot the shit forever about jeeps and then chili.

Thus endeth this csb portion of our program.

I used to be a pharmaceutical rep, starting back in the early 2000’s. The younger “new guys” couldn’t handle NOLA, as that was where a majority of regional meetings were. If I was in charge of getting someone’s ass back to the hotel, I’d take their butt to Cafe du Mond and force them to drink chicory coffee while I ate beignets. We’d usually roll in by 2:00AM and I’d make sure he had a wake up call by the front desk, let alone me knocking on his door an hour prior to our morning meeting.
