What's not possible?

Normalcy

Reasonable expectations

Staying in touch with reality

Not looking foolish

And, of course, championships

Aggy, out of necessity, has adopted a strategy to offer enough money to either abbreviate or eliminate prospective coaches’ due diligence process. It gets more effective as they travel down their hiring wish list each time.

Texas A&M Football: Choke a Woman Out

------------------------------------------------------------
During a press availability Wednesday, junior defensive tackle DJ Hicks was asked about how the defensive line will replace three potential NFL draft picks and what fans can expect from the unit in the future. Hicks responded, in part, saying the unit’s motto is “C.B.O.”

In a follow-up question asking what “C.B.O.” stood for, Hicks said, “In simple terms, choke a woman out. Let’s say that.”
------------------------------------------------------------

How about let's NOT say that, Mr. Hicks.

Arch will be the best QB in the SEC this year. Sellers is his best competition.

I think I agree...but I can at least see a list with Sellers/Nuss/Nico above him.  With Diego around him...since this is Arch's first time being a full time starter

Chilifest was this past weekend outside of College Station.  It's put on by all of the aggie frats.  My daughter has gone a couple of times to visit some of her friends that are aggies. She thankfully didn't attend this year because she over it and says it's dirty, gross and chaotic.  I'm more thankful after Sunday when the following story got relayed to us.
One of my daughter's friends that attends Baylor went to visit their mutual aggie friend and go to chilifest. Baylor girl brings a friend or two with her.  The aggie friend didn't have any interest in chilifest partly because her parents (who are good friends of my wife and I) were in town for a parent weekend with her sorority, but she was going to give the Baylor girls a place to stay.  Long story short.  The two girls from Baylor's drink all day, go out in Northgate after.  Phones die.  Get picked up by fake Uber driver and get raped.  Its a scary, disturbing and disgusting story but I'm going to leave out the details.  The CS police initially blow them off, but luckily the parents of the aggie friend are in town and make shit happen.  They end up at the hospital.  Get a lot of attitude and suspicion from the nurses after the girls are take to the back. Won't tell them what is going on with the girls for hours.  Turns out they let them sleep it off before administering the rape kit stuff. A friendlier nurse later apologizes for her colleagues and mentions there were two other girls in for the same reason.

Yesterday I was talking to our friend who works part time for the Texas DCJ and he told us there were 830 reported "Sexual incidents" from last weekend.  Some, no doubt, were duplicate but that is an unbelievable number.  He said the Texas Rangers are involved now.  Also, another LE friend of his told him today that "a girl or two were gang raped.  They have one in ICU and they aren't sure she's going to make it."
I really hope this is rumor mill type exageration stuff but even if it's only 10% of what I'm told, it's too much.
Great job protecting girls, aggies.

Something for girls to ask Uber drivers picking them up from party scenes- “What is my name?” Or “What is the name of your assigned rider?”

Their phones were dead and the girls were trashed. There was apparently a line up of ride shares and the guy was in it and asked if they needed a ride and they did.

I guess I would need the definition for what qualifies as a sexual incident, and whether farm animals count, but that number seems like bullshit to me.

Feels like we would have heard about 830 sexual assaults over a single weekend before a post on Surly.

You’re part time friend at TDCJ? Did you just copy and paste this off some random Facebook post? TDCJ is the agency responsible for the Texas prison system they wouldn’t know or be involved in active ongoing investigations outside the prison system. DPS is the agency with the rangers and is the Law Enforcement Agency which would be doing an investigation.

A quick google search shows the city of Austin (not Austin metro area)  reports about 500-600 rapes a year with a population of ~1M.  I'm gonna guess its comically inflated bullshit.

To be clear- I was not blaming the girls or suggesting they didn’t do enough to protect themselves. I was just throwing that out there as something to tell girls to do as a protective caution in the future.

Amazing not a word about any of this here in BCS, not one word and I know several people that were there.

me to.  I don't know what all that encompasses or whether one situation is comprised by multiple allegations that run up the numbers.  I'm a little wary of that number, but I know of 2 for sure.

I don't know, man.  What I do know is two girls for sure got raped.  At least I believe them.  I'm aware of what his role is in LE.  According to him, he was told by another LE. He isn't investigating  any of it.  I'm skeptical of that number.  I don't know his source.  But the weird thing is, he knew the description of the guy that the girls gave to police, so he knows something.

I get it, its a tough number to buy. Im with you.

Really I hope that the number is bullshit or at least we don't understand what qualifies as an incidient.  Like uninvited ass grabbing.

Looks like it came from a person on Insta who does "rebranding" for various organizations that did not ask for it and do not want it.

A few of Emily Morgan's re-designs are pretty good, even upgrades.

But, her UT logo obviously sucks.
