Yeah good point. If the facts were different the coverage of it would be different. Very illuminating point you are making there.

Still waiting for what’s “sloppy” in that headline. @52-80

Why are you still so slow when everybody already got the point 2 pages ago?

Because there’s nothing sloppy about the headline. You just want something to feel victimized by

I agree that the headline is sloppy, actually. However, I disagree on their point that it's indicative of liberal bias. Rather, I think it's indicative of the media's anti-pedestrian bias, which is also evident in this sampling of headlines I found with ten seconds of googling:

Pedestrian dies after struck by vehicle in Bethlehem

Pedestrian killed in collision involving ambulance

Pedestrian hit, killed by Pinellas deputy cruiser in Largo, sheriff's office says

Man, woman dead after being struck by pickup truck near South Loop

Toddler fatally struck by car in Staten Island grocery store parking lot

Police: Pedestrian killed after crash involving Dutchess County Sheriff's Office vehicle

It is beyond common for the media to cover stories of pedestrians being hit by motorists as tragic accidents, often describing them simply as "involving [insert vehicle type here]," regardless of the actual facts. The real fun (shitty) headlines come when some drunken cop recklessly kills someone and the headline and story are presented in a way to completely obscure the fact that the cop was drunk and make it seem like the pedestrian recklessly jumped in front of the cop's car or something.

Ah, you do care.

Listen fuckface.  Listen hard.  I don't give two shits about that site and had never visited it before or even heard of it.  They seemingly broke the story first as to the name of the driver and his bio as it was being batted around on Twitter.  It was then quickly verified by FOX and a number of other sites and apparently confirmed.  This was in direct response to the question of whether he seemingly had any activist history or other possible political motives.

he's been demonstrated to just be a copypasta from texags and even admitted it.  that is the sum of the contributions he has to offer.  in light of this, it should not be surprising that he copypasted an antisemitic, nazi-espousing website.

I like his claim: “quickly verified by FOX.”

Hey, @BabaYaga  you’ve got to be pretty careful citing FOX. Some of their programming makes up facts out of thin air, and only fools would think them true. At least, that’s what their lawyers say when faced with defending those facts in court..

You might read the NPR article linked. Fox’s retractions sometimes come in court. That’d be a dealbreaker for me, but you obviously are on a different path.

So, no apology for distributing nazi propaganda?

@hayden_horn, @immamac, @blacklab, this type of shit warrants a ban. You let one guy hang out here as an open nazi and more will follow.

This is clear and biased personal attack on myself, but a complete and utter dismissal of what was actually cited in the article (which of course was the whole point you giant cunt).

I already stated the site was/is shit and has no other bearing in my life other than they seemed to be the first to break the story.  The facts of the name/background of the driver.  Facts that all the other sites have now published and validated.

You're brain is fucking cracked.

I'm seeing a whole lot of justifying linking to nazi propaganda and not any apology for or introspection about having linked to nazi propaganda.

By the way, when referring to my brain it's spelled "your." Good work on fucking it up twice.

I think people tend to forget that even cable news have "straight news" programs and "opinion" programs. I do not watch any of them, but I always take opinion shows and editorials with a grain of salt as everyone should. Fox hardly is alone in intentionally or unintentionally parroting disinformation red meat to the Idiocracy.

I can follow you right up to a point. Some things, like the legitimacy of our elections, are beyond the scope of spin, or even propaganda, and enter the realm of sedition.

You're seeing what you partisan eyes want to see.  For the 3rd time, I said the site was shit and nothing else from the site was posted or linked to.

They were the ones that seemingly broker the story first.  Your umbrage is with the site itself, not the facts of the story that they published.

Your point being that there are facts in the article that are wrong? Or are you agreeing with the article that finding the right word to describe the effect of Russian interference in the election is difficult?

Don’t you think it disingenuous to compare the targeted disinformation campaign, which did occur, with claims of wholesale voter fraud, which did not happen?

I see this thread has solved a lot of problems. Well done, folks 🙄

The important thing is, regardless of the tragedy, the headline didn't say "Black Lives Matter Socialist/Commie Racist Criminal Let Out on Cash Bail Purposely Mows Down White Grandmothers and Children".

Because you know that's exactly what happened.  None of these people would be happy with even "Career criminal with total disregard for human life drives through parade killing and injuring multiple people".  Nah.

It has to be the former.  Then they would say OK and move on to the next grievance.

Yeah, no way he doesn't follow a bunch of nazis on twitter if that showed up in his feed that fast.

And immortal, GR Horn, and fatty all posrepped him linking to a nazi propaganda site. I think we can make some reasonable inferences based on that.

The best part of this entire shitshow is the morons like Bravo who go around negging and pos-repping every single post based only on political leaning then go run around the rest of the forums whining about the CR circle jerk.

Just a tremendous bunch of pussies.

Of course you don't.  I've been here essentially since the inception of the site, so there must be a huge sample size of pro-Nazi posts and assorted white supremacy evidence to really solidify your fucking witch hunt.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this.

1. Yaga posted a link to a nazi propoganda site.

2. Yaga said he didn't know it was nazi propoganda, it was all over twitter

3. Elfenix proved that was untrue, only 5 accounts posted it.

4. Which logically means either Yaga follows one of the 5 nazi supporter accounts or Yaga looks at nazi propoganda sites for news.

5. ????

6. Profit?
