I have a feeling he gets drilled tomorrow in a spot where they would’ve intentionally walked him. But fuck it, that’ll probably add fuel to the fire, resulting in him hitting another hr with an even more exaggerated stare down. God, I love this man.

Gonna need some heroics from some other players, Kody cant do everything.
Or can he?

Get on base in front of him, have a few behind him that can hit and we’ll be fine. The lineup yesterday was nice. Produce at the 1 and 2 spots and have the 4 and 5 put the ball in play and either Kody gets his RBIs or zubes and McK punish them for the walk.

Horns in Omaha again with a big helping of Clemens served each game of the Super Regionals.   Well done.

Now it is time to keep on driving through the pigs and then the rest.  Lead, inspire, get the hits with RISP.

He can put the apostrophe anywhere he fn wants.

It probably represents something we as mere mortals are unaware of at this time and place.  Hook 'em Kody!

We have never had a Player of the Year before?

Oh wait they have only been giving out this award since 2001. That makes more sense. I was thinking 'damn what did Burt Hooton have to do?'

#2 retired then? Isn't that one of the criteria for Texas players?

I mean I love Kody but I have a hard time putting him up there with those guys. He had one great season.

I mean, I'm going by the unofficial Athletic Department policy.

The only real criteria Texas has is that the player must have won a national player of the year award, but even that rule is not set in stone. In 2008, the athletic department amended that rule to include several players from years past in football and baseball.

Did he sign for slot?

Selected with the first pick in the third round by the Tigers, Clemens was in line for an estimated slot bonus of $750,800, but opted to sign for $600,000, according to MLB.com’s Jim Callis.

CA Bear, Andrew Vaughn won it.  Still a great season.  Wish they had cumulative stats on their voting list.  KC's power continued and then some through the playoffs.

Well that fucking sucks. Kody was a machine at the plate through the second half of the season. Fuck it. Thanks for a memorable season, Kody.

Detroit's second basemen is consistently negative in his 'WAR' so I guess that means Kody's shot to get at least a cup of coffee in Detroit come September is pretty high.

that second one was a *shot*. i really like how he just put the bat down and rounded the bases too. when he was playing at home in the ncaa tournament and some directional tennessee team with little man syndrome came into austin talking he shit he went deep and gave it right back to them. a few weeks later he's the new guy in town as a rookie in the minors and he handles himself like a pro. but, but every aggie i know insists he's a classless t sip piece of shit who's gonna get himself beaned in the pros...

Here is the righty that served up both HR, from BYU:

http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?ID=193029#Awards

picked in the 34th round last year

was pretty good in rookie ball last year with a .53 ERA in 34 IP(no HR allowed)

this year is more pedestrian in A ball with a 4.26 ERA although in 82 IP (11 bombs away with 62 SO)

2-3 again today with a triple, single, and a walk.  BA up to .267, .831 OPS.  Seems like he is hitting his groove.(pun slightly intended)
