LSU fans' sense of entitlement regarding players from Texas is one of the funniest things in college football. Just a truly stunning lack of self-awareness.

I respect your opinion, but I think it's lame for some people (not you) to neg me for having a different one.

So you're going to other threads to neg people who negged you for your legitimately shitty posts, that should be in another thread altogether?  Good luck in life, you thin-skinned pussy.

Wells and IT will literally have the Simon announcement (it’s at an ON3 event) while OTF will almost certainly just be watching the On3 feed with Gerry and CJ in their homes, and OTF has more viewers 🤣

does anyone who frequents the OTF board know if they're going to be on hand for this or have their own stream? I'd like to give Bobby and crew my eyes if possible. Also pretty cool that they're doing this at the ON3 Elite camp. A lot of dudes there that we are in on who could maybe feel the mojo. Committed and Uncommitted alike.

After the Simon announcement, Wiltfong spoke.

He reiterated that going into their official visits, he likes Texas for Moore, Ffrench and Lockett ... if we land all three, holy smokes!

Cook/Wingo/Moore/Ffrench/Lockett should do a 5-wide ... in Lambos.  From Congress to The Drag.

Love Simon's film, especially how he remains straight downfield while pushing guys away and making them miss. Sort of like Earl.

If you are looking at just running style, he reminds me an awful lot of Marshall Faulk. Similar stop start and elusiveness at the first level with a similar body type.

I wasn't crazy about his tape on first watch, but upon revisiting it he has some Jonathon Brooks type subtle-ness to his running style. A whole lot of carries that went for big yards when he should have been tackled around the line of scrimmage.

He looks like more of a project RB.  Or I'm just used to every RB we sign looking NFL-ready.

We're basically just offering 3 star guys in the secondary... what gives? Seems like we have a giant gaping hole in our recruiting (like our coaching). Maybe they just want a bunch of DB jags to make our Lambo-3 look better in practice.

247 dropped in a couple notes/updates on current targets - mostly scouting updates from the camp circuit

Madden Faraimo - LB , OVing 6/21

We had a chance to see San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) JSerra linebacker Madden Faraimo in action at the recent Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan 7-on-7 tournament. After battling through injuries much of his junior season, Faraimo looked great. Physically, he has really filled out and looked about 6-3, 230 pounds and chiseled. As a freshman playing at Cathedral Catholic in San Diego, Faraimo was a 6-1, 200-pound safety, but now definitely looks the part of a college inside 'backer who could also play some edge. He's active, smart, and rangy and looked very comfortable playing in space and dropping in coverage. He closes well on the football and played physical as he flattened multiple players crossing his face. Faraimo sits at No. 123 overall in the Top247 and looks primed for a big senior year. He'll visit Washington this weekend and has June official trips set with Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Texas. -- Biggins

James Simon - RB - Texas commit

P4-caliber running back prospect with the requisite size/frame. Well-rounded back who can provide quality between-the-tackles touches, but also give his offense a pass-catching option out of the backfield or from the slot. Naturally upright in gait, but knows how to shrink his target and lower his pad level. Displays good one-cut ability with encouraging initial redirecting suddenness. Shows foot quickness in the hole that enables make-you-miss ability to get upfield. Can top out in the long speed department, but plays with good initial juice and acceleration. Does a good job protecting himself while also knowing how and when to finish runs with strength. Runs through arm tackles and possesses power to push the pile. Also has run track. Segmented, somewhat busy gait creates some wasted motion at times. Track and limited testing data suggest room to improve top-end speed. High-major running back prospect with strong production who could become a first-option back in college and an NFL Draft candidate.
