I'd wager he was talking about his tuition, not any donations.

If he paid over 100k in tution to the university of Texas, he's either out of state, or he's got a diploma on his wall from "The Uunivserity of Texxas" which he acquired though a few zoom classes and giving a nigerian prince access to his bank account.

Yall he posted his CV on Surly:

I've got to say, this is the most terrifying thing I've seen on this board in awhile, for so many different reasons. And that is saying something considering there's a lot of hilarity in there:

Guys, I'm a project manager but won't get certified because fuck that noise
I tried a startup but almost got evicted becuase...
I guess I have no actual tangible skills.

Lol, "all the skills of a project manager." Guys, I have all the skills of a Porn Star, I'm a human male and can absolutely get hard with hot, dirty women, but WAH for some reason no one will hire me!" He sounds like the the typical neckboard incel, let me tell you guys on the internet, I'm smart and jacked and my ex is super hawt. I'm not setting the over/under on his age at 26.

One thing that amazes me with the know-nothings showing up here to shit talk NIL for Texas is that they have to be actively choosing to ignore that Texas has signed two top 5 recruiting classes in a row, and will be signing another one around that range this cycle. There's no way to logically address that reality and still claim that NIL isn't something working in Texas' favor. It takes effort to be that stupid yet entitled.

That motherfucker needs to be crowdsourced. He's either completely deceitful or really, really stupid given the way he's been attempting to move goalposts in his arguments while fucking up this thread. He's worthless and I'm negging every post of his that pops up going forward.

Hell, those classes may have been top 3 without the negative rankings bias towards Texas based upon past "coelenterate" fucktard coaches and their mediocre to terrible results.

All this blather is stupid as shit. It isn't that hard to stick to recruiting. If you want to ignore someone, just fucking do it and get on with your life. No one cares. And assuming your next post will be Pot meet kettle, fine, I'm good with that. There is no need to waste your breath. What would actually move things forward is a recruiting tidbit - we are all starved for news and eating our own.  @immamac and @blacklab should move all the NIL talk to the NIL thread and start giving people timeouts.

Unbelievable that we are three years into this now and folks  still don't remember the golden rule of NIL

DON'T BITCH ABOUT IT, BE ABOUT IT!

For the record, don’t be surprised if your wife rejects your proposal when you call a vote for this to also be adopted as the golden rule of your dick…still stings.

Also, for better or worse our GM was on 247 sports this morning talking about recruiting in the summer. I like the message but I'm terrified it's because he's delusional and not good at his job.

Until they cut the wider shot of Harris, I thought he was doing the interview from the barbershop.

I just can’t bring myself to donate to the NIL. UT is a public school and I live in Texas, I’m paying for it in someway already. And I gather that we already have the most robust and well-organized setup for it in college football anyway.

Is this to suggest that Texas is using public tax dollars to pay recruits?

I'm getting closer to believing Helobious is in fact a board character and not a human sharing their actual thoughts. This is some next level shit.

No one is surprised that you have literally not concept of how NIL collectives work several years into this venture.

I’m talking about the scholarship & stipend aspect, which is a part of an athletes NIL deal. Of course I know the actual school doesn’t pay them cash.

But what you didn't know is that the scholarship and stipend aspect are not part of the NIL deal.

If it was called Tejas Uno Fondo instead of Texas One Fund, you would have understood this shit and would be donating by now

I absolutely will do this @immamac lets do another run on burnt ends shirts with this and a QR code

I swear you love cheap swag more than you love UT, and that is saying quite a bit.

I mean if you want to split hairs you’re correct. I was lumping them together because I imagine it’s all one sales pitch. But I guess it’s a better convo for an NIL thread

It's not splitting hairs. It's just correct. You were lumping them together becuase you're lazy and ignorant, and it doesn't matter if they're one sales pitch or 500 different sales pitch, that has nothing to do with the fact that YOU'RE NOT PAYING FOR ANYTHING NIL RELATED UNLESS YOU DONATE.

If you'd ever been to a nice steakhouse, you'd be the idiot ordering a lobster tail with your steak and then being outraged that they charged you for it. WHAT, IT'S ALL ON THE SAME MENU WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT?

I must say, as of yesterday night I'd been without power for 9 days, including caring for an early onset Father In Law. And catching up on this thread has been almost as painful as that. Almost. A particular, hilarious lowlight just in the last page:

BTDT from early onset till the bitter end. Good on you.

"Yeah kind of regretting not going that way."  - SydneyCarton

A 10 MW portable generator. I suspect there might be some grunting involved, even with the wheel kit. Not to mention the hernia inducing pull cord. Opt for electric start, lol.

Seriously though, even a 4500 to 5500 watt portable makes life so much easier and they sip fuel by comparison with the larger output units. And I'd argue, still worth the purchase as a backup should the standby unit go down.

Helobious being wrong about absolutely everything is always incredible to me.  @Helobiousdo you publish stock picks so I know which ones to short?

I believe I finished tied for 9th or something in this site’s NCAA Tourney Challenge this year (out of 70+ entries). I was 8-4 picking winners in the Texas football state championships. I’m wrong no more often than anyone else, I’m just the only one that ever gets called out/remembered for it, Greenspoint too somewhat. People love their narratives even when their wrong.

Yes. You've got it all right. It's just the vast majority of other people that are completely wrong, statistics be damned.

It's not that you're more wrong than other people, although you are more wrong than other people. It's more of the WAY you're wrong. You're the obese, hirsuite euro trash in a fucking banana hammock of wrong. Your takes are just so bad, so painful, that it's impossible for them not to stand out and be painfully memorable. Sure, that other normal looking guy has on a fanny pack, but this is you:

what about demerits? or frowny faces on our daily progress report? or check-minuses?  make sure you clear the plan with daddy imma/blacklab before we implement these important changes to mollify your concerns.

Just wanted recruiting news instead of commentary. 'bout the only news comes from @texifornia and @closetojumping and I'm grateful for it.
